An inviting bar is centrally located. The wooden floors, ceilings and hand-hued beams are probably original to 1880's business structure. The facility is simple and sports a lot of Dillinger references like the table tops. I found the team here to be very friendly and willing to serve. The menu is fairly large with lots of Dillinger coded menu items to choose from. The prices were very reasonable with decent portion sizes (i.e. no highway robbery here lol). We started with the onion rings. They had a thick piece of onion and equally thick batter. The batter had a bit of a beer seasoning, slight oily taste and a moderately crunch. Really good tasting ring! The side salad was small with a nice mix of simple side ingredients - tomatoes, onions and cheese. My wife had the Wheelman wrap. She said it was loaded with tasty turkey and bacon flavors. She liked the fresh taste. The fries were thinner and crispy. I ordered the Silent Shot breaded tenderloin. It was very thick and juicy. The pork taste really came out nicely. The breading was thick like the onion rings - slight crunch and slightly oily. The sandwich came with all the usual toppings. The Cole slaw was also very tasty. The small slaw pieces were almost diced. The mayo base was slightly sweet with a hint of vinegar. It stuck to the slaw pieces without being soupy. Overall another interesting, out of the way place, with good drops and service... to dine and experience some Americana.

I hadn't ordered from here in quite a while. I did a few times when I first moved to Peru. Things were chaotic, and I was hungry. I was eating a bit of dairy here and there, but I've removed it completely again for heath & ethical reasons. That being said, there are not many plant based options, but thanks to some helpful websites that do the homework for me, I was able to easily figure out what I'd like to have. For what I got, this seemed a bit pricey, but it was really one of two restaurants open for delivery. Even though nothing was available on local delivery services, after issues from them all, I'd much rather order straight from a restaurant and not have a middleman to mess everything up. I'm low on groceries and really just wanted something to eat. I will only utilize this in emergencies, not just because of the small selection but the service isn't as good as it used to be. I used an online coupon to order the Mediterranean garden veggie sandwich and a build your own pasta. I called after I placed my order to ask for the robust pizza sauce instead of their marinara on my pasta since the pizza sauce has no dairy, and there isn't anywhere online to make a substitution request. I was on hold for nearly six minutes, listening to several schpeels. I hung up and called back and got someone right away who was vet nice and accommodating over my request. My sandwich had banana peppers on it, and that was something I requested for them to leave off. They're just something I can't eat anymore the older I get. The veggies were pretty sparse and sloppy. Seeing how I didn't get the cheese, it would have been nice to get a better amount of veg. I scraped most of them into my pasta and turned the bread into garlic bread. I don't remember the sandwich being very stellar even when I had it with cheese over a year ago anyway. Dominos' pasta primavera was actually really good in the past. It just needed garlic and black pepper, but since I didn't want dairy, I did a build your own tonight. As I said, I called to request robust pizza sauce instead of the marinara. The pasta looked far better than the sandwich, especially after I doctored it up with what I had in the house. I'm full, and it was semi healthy even though it lacked much of a protein source. Even doctored up, and I'm a pretty good cook, it was just okay. Overpriced, yet not as bad as what I checked out on the site of the other pizza place that was still open. Again, something I'd reserve for emergencies when starving. I really just need to move to a real city with better options. While the man who answered the phone was great, and I have had some awesome delivery drivers from here in the past, this one left my food on the porch for the no contact delivery as requested but sent no text and didn't call like I'm accustomed to receiving from this Dominos. I also always add "Please call, don't knock" to my orders. And for pre tipping over 30%, it was a little disappointing there was no notification or thank-you. Luckily, I had the tracker and kept an eye out. I'm sure there is a high turn over, so the people I had before may very well be long gone. This Dominos isn't awful, and I'm grateful there was at least something I could eat. I just won't be a regular. If you're in Peru and want something late, which really isn't even "late" by my standards, it's a decent choice. I'd go for the pasta before their pizzas and bread which can be greasy and lacking flavor. Another bonus is that, with the exception of 2020, (not sure about later) this Dominos is open on Christmas. I don't like making someone waiting on me on holidays, but it's good for those who WANT to work those days. A good driver I had Christmas Eve 2020 was a lifesaver when I didn't have food in the house and was explaining how he was bummed corporate was not allowing them to work that Christmas Day. I do have to say they are almost always super fast. That's why I was afraid to be on hold too long. There was a chance my dish was already being made. Dominos is open until Midnight. They're competitor across the street is only open until 11. I believe the other chain nearby is only open until 9 or 10.

No signage saying it was closed from what I could see. Went inside. Tall self-serve menus which are new to me took up more floor space than the limited seating area. At least one appeared to be out of order. They looked filthy and blocked the view into the restaurant. A couple people were waiting for orders, it turned out. It wasn't clear at first whether they were waiting to order. I walked up to the only open register of the two there. The young man behind the register was sitting quite low to the floor. It became apparent after I ordered that he had a broken foot or leg because he wore a colorful cast. He was personable and promptly took my order. I sat on one of the low stools attached to one of the couple of tables in the place. I didn't wait long. I saw two others pick up food as I waited. I gathered from them that our numbers were on our receipts. No directions had been given, and my receipt is hard to read. A family was in the process of finishing ordering as I picked up my bag. The woman calling out numbers was not friendly and said nothing other than the number for each. She set my bag down on a metal counter next to a puddle of Coke and immediately walked away. I looked in my bag and saw the outside of the burger wrappers were greasy. I also had no napkins. No napkins were to be found there nor at the messy drink station. The woman had disappeared, so I had to ask the guy at the counter. He politely brought me a few, but I felt bad because it was clear it was difficult for him to walk in his cast. A few flies were inside the restaurant, and in addition to the spill on the pickup area counter, the drink station counter and floors were quite dirty with spills as well. Thankfully, the burgers were a treat for my dogs and not for human consumption. The price was quite high at $4.25 or $4.26 (receipt barely legible) for two regular plain cheeseburgers. At home, I saw the burgers were sloppily put together. Patties hanging out of buns on one side. Cheese barely melted. I was glad to get out of there. The filthiness is inexcusable. The cashier himself was alright. McDonald's should have given him something more ergonomic and closer to the eye level of the customers to sit on unless his injury required him to be that close to the floor. I suppose it's commendable he was working despite his injury. The woman handing out orders should make guests feel welcome and appreciated and not just a number. It wasn't busy. I wasn't able to take the online survey because I can't see the entire code. I seriously doubt I would return. The McDonald's company I knew since childhood is evidently no more, and this is the dirtiest one I've ever visited.
