From the moment we walked in, we were blown away by the atmosphere. The restaurant is spotless, beautifully designed, and unlike any noodle house we've visited. The massive Hollywood murals featuring legends like Marilyn Monroe, Charlie Chaplin, Elvis Presley, Humphrey Bogart, Captain Jack Sparrow, Audrey Hepburn, Bruce Lee, The Beatles, and many more create an unforgettable dining experience. Combined with elegant crystal chandeliers, colorful LED lighting, and comfortable booths, it feels both modern and welcoming. The food was just as impressive. We ordered the Beef Bánh Mì, and it was absolutely delicious. The bread was perfectly crisp on the outside while staying soft inside, and the fresh cilantro, pickled vegetables, and tender beef created an incredible balance of flavors. At only $10, it's one of the best values you'll find. We also enjoyed both the Large House Sake and Small House Sake, served hot in beautiful ceramic bottles with adorable paper umbrellas. It's a fun presentation that adds to the experience. The menu has an amazing variety, including authentic pho, bánh mì, pad thai, garlic noodles, fried rice, chow mein, chow fun, Vietnamese rice plates, spring rolls, smoothies, desserts, and much more. About 20 minutes pass without the waiter stopping by to check on us or grab the menu. I look around and the chefs aren't making anything. They're looking around and hanging out at the sushi bar. That's when I began to realize that they aren't continuing with my order. The waiter comes back (finally) and I asked him why the menu is at our table when nothing is being made. He says "you got two rounds" and when I explained I didn't even get all of the first round he swiftly grabs the menu and runs it over to the chefs. He keeps repeating himself "you have to pay because you're taking it to go." So I keep telling him he needs to adjust the bill because of what he did and how it caused us to just sit there with nothing being brought out for a long time. He repeated himself once again and that's when I lost my cool and started showing my anger. I told him we were just going to let the food go to waste then because I'm not paying extra when I shouldn't have to. As I got up to talk to the cashier about the extra charges (still visibly angry) the owner himself came over and comped the entire bill. He really didn't have to do that and I kept insisting on paying the bill just without the extra charges but he refused to take my money which did make me feel bad because that wasn't my intention at all. I love this place but the waiter screwed up which was actually our first bad experience in all the times we've been there. So if the owner sees this - this is what happened. I'm sure the waiter probably left out any details about him screwing up and told it like I wanted to take food to go without being charged for breaking the all-you-can-eat deal. I am grateful for the owner's generosity to rectify the situation (and get me out of there) and the amazing food but the waiter probably didn't want to take any blame so he wasn't trying to see what he can do to solve the problem with management himself which is what caused me to go off.
