I rarely use a business that I haven't had a personal recommendation for and I rarely use a business that isn't local, family owned. Why? Because my son owns and operates that kind of business-- A -Team Trappers--where they work really hard to care for their customers. I checked both these blocks on PEST CARE. It is a small run family business. I called them and Kaye Buckler (mom) runs the phones and sets appts. She is a soft spoken delight. She sent Chris out (sonny-boy) who arrived on time and wearing a mask (extra points). Chris was very knowledgeable --I tend to ask a lot of questions. He did the outside with the usual products but also discussed new products that successfully cut down the mosquito population which I might try shortly. He then worked on the inside. The products are human and animal friendly. There is no contract but a good discussion on a plan. He says the answer to pest control is many levels or barriers to defeat infestation--before it becomes infestation. Kaye already sent me a thank you card and I called to let them know that the service was already a success! I Love knowing I am helping to support a great family. The most thorough pest control visit I've ever experienced. For years we have used very large companies. Service was always fine; over the years the price continued to escalate to the point that I felt I needed to try something different. Pest Care was recommended. I am delighted! The level of detail that Kaye provided was amazing. She painstakingly went through every room, through the garage and also the yard. She put down traps, made recommendations regarding mustiness in an outside room in our garage and a bathroom. We have used Pest Care for years. Kaye and Chris are both very friendly and personable. We very rarely see any bugs and if we do they are dead. If we have a problem and it's not time for them to come out we just call and they come and take care of the problem (that has only happened once in all these years). We had a fruit rat in our house (gross and scary) Chris was right on it. Baited and set a trap for us. (hope that never has to happen again). The trap did catch Ricky the Rat.
