Today was one of those days, and if not for Elizabeth at Pet Angel (Plantation), I don't know if I could have navigated through. Her compassion, sincere appreciation of loved furry family members, and gentle tone generate a genuine trust. The final chapter of my Dog's journey is one of peace, because Elizabeth made it so. My beloved 19 year old Shiba Inu, Vixen, passed away. She was my companion and sidekick for most of my adult life. Inevitably, she crossed over, taking my heart with her. The day I lost my Vixen is the most devastating moment of my life. And, living in a condominium, burial in my yard was not an option. My trusted veterinarian pointed me to Pet Angel Memorial for alternatives. I decided on single cremation. But, I wanted to take my fur baby the last steps to her eternal rest. I requested a viewing and attendance at the disposition of her mortal remains. We never discussed burial at the facility, but it is available. The memorial headstones go back decades. I watched the on-site groundskeeper demonstrably maintain the solemn integrity of the grave sites after a substantial rain storm by sweeping leaves, replacing flowers and mementos, and brushing away dirt. The facility cares. Elizabeth walked me through on the phone. We made an appointment. This morning, as I was preparing for an awful day, I got a phone call. Elizabeth warned me that flooding blocked the entrance, advised I be careful, and informed that all would go forward as planned. On arrival, Elizabeth was sympathetic. I was taking these last steps with my girl alone. My friends were working. Elizabeth showed me to the viewing room where Vixen was bundled, curled like she was sleeping on my couch. I did not wish to see her face, only to say my last goodbyes, so Elizabeth covered Vixen. But Elizabeth saw my concerns, soothing them by stating she had bathed Vixen. That she looked peaceful. And, that Vixen was a beautiful dog. I sat with my pup for an unrushed hour. I stroked her ears. When my broken heart reached ready, Elizabeth carried her away gingerly, as if this was her own dog. When all was done, I left with my pup's cremains in a wood box etched with my Vixen's name. A plaster paw print, and some documents were also provided. Before I left, Elizabeth offered added solace and her availability if I needed. I am not a fan of the upright ape-like animals that populate this planet. However, I'm a fairly good judge of character and veracity. I read other reviews critical of Elizabeth. The conclusions are inaccurate. She told me her story. Her family was the former owner-operators of the cemetery. She spent her entire adult life dedicated to the worst moment in most people's lives. Because her sensitivity to the adoration of our 4-legged buddies means something, Elizabeth's commitment is real. Her demeanor appreciated. Her communication unambiguous. Her empathy authentic. I embarked on a two-hour journey to entrust my beloved dog's remains to this place, hoping for a dignified individual cremation, for which I paid over $300. Elizabeth, the sole person at the facility, assured me that they conducted individual cremations at this location. Based on online reviews and her assurances, I placed my trust in them. Elizabeth explained that I would receive the ashes, a metal urn, and a clay imprint of my dog's paw. She mentioned that it could take 5-7 days for the pickup. Upon arrival, the place was eerily quiet, with no signs of staff except for Elizabeth, who was available by appointment only. The tranquility raised doubts about whether the cremation was truly taking place on-site, prompting me to ask. She reaffirmed that they handled the process there. On September 29, I dropped off my beloved poodle in a basket with a blanket and requested that they save and notify me at the pickup time. Elizabeth took note of my request. As the days passed, I received no call from her. I decided to call on October 10, and she informed me that the pet was just being finished that day, emphasizing the need for an appointment for the pickup. The certificate says: that cremation day was October 5th so why they did not call me before October 10? - I believe they do not make cremations otherwise will allow us to see the urn content. What they do with the animals? Before writing this letter, I scoured reviews using the names "Pet Heaven" or "Pet Angel" (cemetery and/or cremation) to find a YouTube video from another person scammed with a wooden urn sealed shut. This heartbreaking confirmation left me with painful questions about what happened to my dog. I will never forget what they did to my beloved pet. There is no easy way grieving the lost of a pet but pet angels (broward pet cemetery) definitely did make the process slightly less difficult for my family and I. A couple of weeks ago, we lost our beloved 6 year old cat in a horrible accident.. we had no idea what to do and we felt helpless but we knew we wanted to cremate him so we could keep him at home with us. We drove to another pet cremation place but they were not able to help us due to being given the wrong address and going to the wrong place. Just returned home from picking up the cremains of my beloved dog. What an absolute nightmare! From the very beginning when I dropped off my sweet dog, I walked into the Broward Pet Cemetery with my deceased dog, office empty, I rang the bell and waited for what seemed like an eternity. Finally someone came and offered no apology for making me wait so long. I was visibly upset by my dogs death and this girl offered no compassion at all, didn't even offer me a kleenex. Just took my credit card and told me I would be contacted when my dog was ready to be picked up, as if I just dropped off a load of laundry. I specifically asked for a lock of my dog's hair to be returned to me along with her cremains. She repeated my request for the lock of hair and said ok no problem. I asked when my dog would be ready to be picked up and she said about a week. Over 2 weeks later I still hadn't heard from them. When I called and asked why I hadn't heard from them she said they had equipment problems and she was going to call me the next day. When I arrived there today and my dog's ashes were handed to me I asked if the lock of hair was also in the bag. She claimed she didn't know anything about the lock of hair and that I had not asked for that. This was very upsetting to me as this was very important to me and now that option has been stolen from me. I got a little heated and asked her to get my paperwork as I was sure she must have written it down when I requested it and I asked to speak with the owner and was told the owner was not available. Instead of trying to de-escalate the situation, she made a hand gesture as if to dismiss me. Yes, at that point I said a 'bad' word but now she and another employee, I think his name was Jordan, told me to leave or they would call the police! Really??? The police??? Omg, please do not bring your beloved fur babies to this place unless you want additional heartache on top of your grief. BTW I came here because I had very positive experiences with 3 other pets I had cremated here years before. The staff at that time was very attentive and compassionate. Come to find out now that they were the previous owners. I knew it. Couldn't be more different, uncaring, aloof, rude and unprofessional. I can only assume that this person, think her name is Elizabeth, and the other employee must be related to the owners as I can't imaging a 'arm's length' employer with any kind of integrity at all having these people represent them. read more

First rate, I cannot say enough about the excellent service I received after my beloved dog suddenly passed. Beth was compassionate, and guided me in my time of need. I wanted to bury my baby, and BPC was the perfect place. It is beautiful and serene, with tall trees and benches to sit and reflect when you visit your pet. She coordinated picking up my pet from Hollywood Animal Hospital, and then called to say that he was back at her facility, which was very comforting to me. The following week, my family and I sat in one of their lovely rooms with our baby boy resting on a satin pillow in his little casket, surrounded by flowers. At his burial, Beth recited two poems, one hers and one mine. My husband spoke and we said good bye to our beloved pet. She will help me with the wording for his stone, which will include his sister when she is put to rest. I bought a double plot, as many are reserved. I recently lost my 27 yr. old parrot and took him to be cremated at Broward Pet Cemetery. I can now understand why there is one star ratings. I have had nothing but road blocks from this cemetery. I have taken other pets to this cemetery since 2014 with no problem yet this time thats all I had was problems. When I took my parrot in for cremation I was told by Elizabeth it would be complete in 3 to 4 days. Two weeks later I heard nothing. I finally got a hold of Elizabeth and she claimed there was an issue with the crematory. A couple of days later I got a call that the cremains were ready for pick up. I was extremely happy that I finally got my parrot cremains back. When I got home I looked inside the bag and saw a blue bag with my parrots cremains in there. But, there was no Certificate of Cremation in the bag. I have always gotten a signed certificate. So I quickly typed up a note with a copy of a previous certificate and a self addressed return envelop so Elizabeth could put it in the envelop and mail it to me. Two weeks later I have yet to get a response or a certificate and every time I leave a message for a call back she calls back but never leaves a message. That has happened twice. I don't know whats going on with this cemetery business but things aren't what they seem. I've called other sister companies to no avail. What in the world is going on with Pet Angel.
