Elizabeth, thank you…read more There are dreaded days that are inevitable. These are unavoidable days, so awful, where everything must go right. Today was one of those days, and if not for Elizabeth at Pet Angel (Plantation), I don't know if I could have navigated through. Her compassion, sincere appreciation of loved furry family members, and gentle tone generate a genuine trust. The final chapter of my Dog's journey is one of peace, because Elizabeth made it so. My beloved 19 year old Shiba Inu, Vixen, passed away. She was my companion and sidekick for most of my adult life. Inevitably, she crossed over, taking my heart with her. The day I lost my Vixen is the most devastating moment of my life. And, living in a condominium, burial in my yard was not an option. My trusted veterinarian pointed me to Pet Angel Memorial for alternatives. I decided on single cremation. But, I wanted to take my fur baby the last steps to her eternal rest. I requested a viewing and attendance at the disposition of her mortal remains. We never discussed burial at the facility, but it is available. The memorial headstones go back decades. I watched the on-site groundskeeper demonstrably maintain the solemn integrity of the grave sites after a substantial rain storm by sweeping leaves, replacing flowers and mementos, and brushing away dirt. The facility cares. Elizabeth walked me through on the phone. We made an appointment. This morning, as I was preparing for an awful day, I got a phone call. Elizabeth warned me that flooding blocked the entrance, advised I be careful, and informed that all would go forward as planned. On arrival, Elizabeth was sympathetic. I was taking these last steps with my girl alone. My friends were working. Elizabeth showed me to the viewing room where Vixen was bundled, curled like she was sleeping on my couch. I did not wish to see her face, only to say my last goodbyes, so Elizabeth covered Vixen. But Elizabeth saw my concerns, soothing them by stating she had bathed Vixen. That she looked peaceful. And, that Vixen was a beautiful dog. I sat with my pup for an unrushed hour. I stroked her ears. When my broken heart reached ready, Elizabeth carried her away gingerly, as if this was her own dog. When all was done, I left with my pup's cremains in a wood box etched with my Vixen's name. A plaster paw print, and some documents were also provided. Before I left, Elizabeth offered added solace and her availability if I needed. I am not a fan of the upright ape-like animals that populate this planet. However, I'm a fairly good judge of character and veracity. I read other reviews critical of Elizabeth. The conclusions are inaccurate. She told me her story. Her family was the former owner-operators of the cemetery. She spent her entire adult life dedicated to the worst moment in most people's lives. Because her sensitivity to the adoration of our 4-legged buddies means something, Elizabeth's commitment is real. Her demeanor appreciated. Her communication unambiguous. Her empathy authentic. I love and miss my dog. At my final chance to say goodbye, Elizabeth eased my heartbreak. Thank you Elizabeth.

Monarch Pet Memorial Services is the only place that does it at this time here in South Florida. You can go to their website to learn more about Aquamation. It is quiet, gentle, low impact-green (enviro-friendly) without flames like traditional cremation. I am very glad I chose Monarch and they do partner with Lap of Love. I knew my baby was in good hands. The customer service was superb and they focus on treating your pet like family, with respect and integrity. They were easy to reach on the phone when I had questions. I then chose Monarch again for my forever foster Santo and they picked him up at my vet. I will always be using Monarch. Very highly recommend. 5 stars.

You enter their lobby which looks like a fast-food pick up place with bodies packaged up and ready for pick up. Who came up with this idea? Someone who does not understand what the feeling of deep sorrow and grief means. My husband and I brought our fur baby personally to them and asked a number of times to return to us all her belongings ie the little coffin and the zipped cover which her body was wrapped in. We put her name on both to make sure they get returned to us. We were assured that everything will be returned and they would keep us informed throughout the process. Nobody kept us informed. Only after my husband called them, they informed us that she was being "processed"! For a week no other info. We called again "ah yes, you can pick her up". We came to pick her up and were faced with yet another disappointment - they just threw away the zip cover. The manager said she was sorry but they could not do anything. Nobody told them that we wanted the cover! Really!? I requested she reviews her security camera which would confirm how many times we repeated our wishes. The cover was gone but they offered a memorabilia instead. How awefully nice of you. The manager was trying in a typical materialistic, despicable way replace something priceless with cheap memorabilia they sell. At this point I don't even know if our fur baby is in the urn. Having seen the type of personnel they have in this place, them just throwing away the previous cover in spite of our explicit request to get it back and having spoken to the manager of this fast-food place with $$ signs in her eyes, I doubt the quality of the services they provide. You have ZERO guarantee that you get YOUR baby back. It is very sad that people make money off of death like this.

From the moment we stepped in, we were treated with kindness and care. They took her back immediately and put us in a room. Within minutes the vet came in and told us some very difficult news and we knew she wasn't going to make it. They rushed us into a quiet room and brought her in so we could say our goodbyes before she passed. They gave her meds to help her make the transition painless. It was one of the most difficult things I've had to endure. My husband and I were devastated and heartbroken. However, the team at LeadER was incredible. They were kind, caring, understanding, and knowledgeable. They let us grieve and have as much time with our baby girl as we needed. It was the only light in that dark time. We then went to pick up her ashes a week later and noticed the had filled out a card for us. It was so unexpected but immensely appreciated. Thank you so much to the team at LeadER!

He said he would be back with an estimate , when the nurse came back with an estimate I had questions, Dr Philips came back in with another attitude , he was short , rude and annoyed I was asking questions about the $1600 estimate . When I told him we were going to wait it out a couple hours , he walked out of the room and closed the door . No words , just left . He was clearly annoyed I was questioning the prices . I decided to leave ,they wanted me to sign a paper at the front desk saying I am refusing care . Laqueda in the front desk continued with the rude and condescending service . I was appalled that how their behavior changed simply because I questioned the estimate . I will never come back . It felt like the doctor simply wanted my money , not to take care of my pet . They held my dog in the back until I paid the visit fee . ( which I had no problem doing ) . Once I paid , they tell someone in the back that my dog was ready to leave . Basically is a very money hungry place . They held my dog "hostage" in the back until I paid . Awful experience . Dr Clay Philips made us feel our pet didn't matter . Only how deep our pockets were .
