Mariposa Veterinary Wellness Clinic does just that: they treat our pets like family, they realize that a trip to the vet can be stressful to the animal, and they take great measures to make the animals comfortable. Our neurotic, three-legged rescue doggo just hates going to the vet. She loves a good car ride, complete with open windows so she can pick up all the scents, but once we get to the clinic, she knows what's up - and she *does not like it*. But fortunately, the Mariposa staff is well-aware of pets that may not like the vet visits and they take measures to calm the anxiety. Dr. Kinnon is so gentle and calm, getting down to the pet's level and getting acclimated to the 'patient'. Dr. Kinnon gives us a thorough evaluation each time, whether it's for a routine wellness visit or some other condition. Our pupper, Loki, has a tendency to be shy in uncomfortable people situations, but Dr. Kinnon and her staff always get Loki to open up. Just the low-stress, placid tones alone make every visit feel so much better, if not just for Loki but for us as well. All of Loki's history is readily available and even though Loki doesn't seem to have gotten the memo that she only has three legs, the Mariposa staff always treats her with an extra-gentle touch. Scheduling is easy, either at the end of a visit for routine checks or over the phone for issues requiring more immediate attention. When you park in front, you call in and a tech comes out to escort your pet (and even you!) into the exam rooms - after a brief scale stop. The whole process focuses on the animal, in the calmest, most loving manner possible. Could not recommend Mariposa any higher!

We love our vet! It helps that I do my own research and we keep a strict schedule for the girls and know any changes in their health. They offer a more holistic approach and also revert to conventional if you think that helps your pets, but if you understand health for humans, real health, you'll find there is similarities for animals and this place helps guide you through it. We are on three more years with our dog who was in the ICU 3 years ago due to negligence of the vet at Spring Hill. They truly care about the animals at Mariposa, they take the time and give details when you ask. They are not authoritative and will listen to concerns. I also love that the animals are not put on a table, the vet goes to their level to ensure they are more comfortable. We are so happy we found this place and appreciate they care about our babies. I mentioned that my dog had a suspicious mass on his paw and the staff that were not the regular staff who examined my dog completely brushed me off and ignored me. I took my dog back a second time to look at the mass and again I had a Dr. that is not regularly there examine my dog. She mentioned something about a needle aspiration and then told me just to watch the mass for growth. The mass continued to grow and I decided to take my dog to another vet. This vet took their time with me and did surgery immediately after I took him there. They saved him from losing his toe and will determine if it's Cancer. If you love your pet don't bring them to this incompetent practice that simply doesn't care about your pet's health and life!!!
