However, the second time it was a little less consistent with the caretaker - who was not either person scheduled the first two times we used the service. This most recent time, during a 9 day service, 5 different people were assigned to come into my home to care for my cat. When I asked about this, Marcy said they use a team approach and clients need to be aware that they can make changes at any time to the service provider. When I asked if I could receive communication ahead of time about these changes, she stated that I was not a good fit for their service and they would no longer accept service requests from me. Mainly because I asked for communication about who is going to be coming into my home. That is very unprofessional to not be willing to communicate with a client about the service provider who will be caring for your pet and coming into your home. This company assumes that every client would allow several different people whom they have never met into their home without clear communication about this plan or the providers. And if you ask for advance notice for communication, you are rejected from their service. USE THIS COMPANY WITH EXTREME CAUTION if you are concerned about the people who enter you home and if you like to have open communication with your provider. ADDENDUM: I am writing this after reading Marcy's response to my initial review- I was informed prior to our trip that there would be one individual providing service while we were out of town. While we were out of town, I began to receive feedback from several different service providers about the care they provided for my cat-- BUT- without any communication from Marcy or anyone at the company. Upon our return I asked about this because I was expecting one provider and she said that our provider had an emergency so that she found different people to cover. What I said-- and I do not believe there any attitude to this response- was that she or someone should have contacted me to inform me that there was an emergency/change of plans. I never met any of the individuals who came into my house - was not even told that this was an option prior to signing up with this service. My issue with this was the communication between Marcy and ourselves about the provider for our cat's care. And when I asked if communication would be able to occur in a situation like this if we use their service again, she said we were not a good fit and would not accept any service requests. I cannot imagine any person not wanting to know who was entering their home and to be informed when someone unexpected was going to be entering their home. Again- I urge EXTREME CAUTION in using this company if you would like to have good communication and if you would like to know who is entering your home when you are out of town.

In the past…read moreyear that we've used Luvwalks, Nina has NEVER missed a walking (she walks our dog 4 days/week, minimum), and she's only taken ONE VACATION in 365 days! (We even know her vacation plans for 2010 - yep, just 1 week again!). Fully reliable, we can call her when we're stuck in traffic getting home and she's over to our house to walk our pooch if we can't make it in time w/ no more than 15 min notice. She's even around when I lock myself out of my house to let me in! She's even done our dishes, which is just totally absurd. Nina is the best - she feels like part of your family and you know you can rely on her 100%. I realized I didn't even mention her love for dogs - she takes her own dogs to Walter Reed Hospital to give some love to recuperating soldiers, and clearly loves dogs. Never, ever worried about how she treats our dog - whenever we see her in our neighborhood (she serves Kentlands/Lakelands in Gaithersburg) our dog is super excited to see her - if she didn't treat him well you know he'd show it. Rates are reasonable and Nina will walk and play with your dog for minimum 30 min, sometimes 45 min to 1 hr. She's the only walker in her business so you know exactly what you're getting - no need to worry about high school kids or others that walk the dogs. 5 stars, I'd give 500 stars if I could!

Scared the spirit right out of me! The DX was a best guess and could NOT be verified by the Dr unless we went to neurologist bc as all his labs came back normal & the Vet didn't witness the episodes. They were happening after his b-fast & dinner & although the Vet INSISTED on Seizure meds & stated (with an attitude) that "food will NOT make a difference", I couldn't help but think that the food change could be bad & affecting him. I also read that low Taurine can cause the same issues in cats that mine was experiencing so I popped in this store, nervous & stressed, and the gent who offered to help me on a Monday morning, spent a great deal of time understanding what was going on, listening to my concerns with compassion & understanding, while being clear to state that he's not a Vet, he shared that Taurine comes from organ meat. I was ready to buy everything but he suggested to only make 1 change at a time to know if it's effective. He made a recommendation on food & treats w/organ meat and suggested to monitor & if all goes well, come back for a 2nd visit once we know the changes are effective to consider adding CBD, a multi supplement and wet food. The changes WORKED!! This guy KNEW their products & ingredients (said he worked in another locally run store for 9yrs I think), understands animals, & aren't going to oversell you because they truly care!
