The only reason e stopped service was because we relocated to New York City. I was a new dog owner, and initially wasn't giving my chi a potty break midday. With DC traffic this became increasingly stressful because I couldn't predict when I'd be home and didn't want her holding her bladder all day! After talking to a lot of walkers, I met Jennifer and the rest is history. Jennifer came over, met P, and talked to me generally about dog ownership & her services. Jennifer is super knowledgeable and a compassionate person for people and animals - this was so helpful because it put me at ease with giving someone access to my house & my new puppy!! Jennifer assigned us Jimmy as a walker - and that was P's BFF from that day forward. Jimmy is such a good human, would txt me updates, if needed, and treated Princess ...like a literal Princess! He was always on time, always communicative, and if the rate case he couldn't cover a walk, Jennifer took her out! They even convinced my little chi to potty in the rain & snow (something I struggle with to this day). Eventually some route changes kicked in and Isa was our walker. Isa was so sweet as well, and helped me fit P in a proper harness (which is tough for the little ones) in addition to being prompt & communicative! Additionally Jennifer sends consistent updates to clients through the portal, it's flexible with scheduling, and send a super cute newsletter with helpful information - esp for first time dog owners. Overall, Run and Play is the best pet care service in southern Maryland area! We were so sad to leave such good people and I highly believe trusting Jennifer with your fur babies is a great choice. 10/10 would recommend!

Five weeks ago, we couldn't let visitors into our home through the front door, walk past other dogs, or be in-the-midst of little ones without major stress for both dogs and humans alike. Fast forward to now, and our dog-reactive pup can pass other dogs on walks with minimal (and occasionally, no) reaction; our kid-fearful pup can hang out near the chaos of little ones playing at the park without stressing out; and we can do introductions with guests visiting our home that don't make us dread having visitors. Prior to Brittany's help, I hadn't walked one of the two in more than a year because the experience was always so stressful. Now, I'm proud every time he turns to me for cues and reassurance as we go on more confident walks together. Our training experience with Brittany really strengthened our trust of, and bond with, both dogs. Like I said, life-changing. Here's what we loved most about working with her: 1. She genuinely cares about our dogs and treated them like she'd treat her own fur-child. It put all of us at ease. 2. She does 100% positive reinforcement behavior training, so we knew (and believed in) her methodology. 3. She customized the training plan for our dogs. We got to pick our top priorities, and she chose the specific activities that would help us and our fur-children accomplish those goals. I could go on and on... we're just so thankful we found her. Thank you so much, Brittany!

I would give Eric, Nick, and Walk Play Love 10 stars if I could. When I finally needed a dogwalker…read morefor my aging dog this past summer, I contacted several local services. Eric was responsive over email, prompt in setting up an appointment to meet my dog Winnie, and asked all the right questions. Their intake form is thorough and Eric really listens to what you want. They also have quite reasonable prices. Win and I were lucky enough to be paired with Nick...my dog is fan of men, so she was always her best self when he stopped by. Nick never missed a walk, always showed up during the allotted time, and sent me pics of my dog enjoying the outdoors while I was stuck at with. He always locked up after himself and set the alarm, and left Win with fresh water. If I happened to be home, Nick was pleasant and cheerful when we greeted each other. If that wasn't great enough, in the last couple of months my dog has been struggling to walk. Nick gave her shorter walks, more time to sniff, more pats, and, as things got worse, even carried her up multiple flights of stairs when she couldn't do it herself. He really went above and beyond for Winnie. Like, so far beyond. I am incredibly grateful for the care he took with her. I will absolutely use Eric and his crew in the future. I would completely and utterly recommend them with your pup.

Without Walk Play Love, taking care of Oliver's needs would have been too much for one person to handle, especially a dog who has isolation distress and trouble with housetraining. Eric and Domingo have been patient with me as I try to find the best method in helping Oliver transition into his new home & have gone above & beyond when I am not there with Oliver. If you need someone who you can trust to take care of your pup, look no further than Walk Play Love. They truly want what's best for the pups and understand the lengths we take to ensure they are happy and well cared for just like their own. Thank you so much!

I spent ages combing through all the various services and Rovers in my area, and I'm SO glad I finally found Baby Got Bark. Claire was incredibly responsive when I sent the initial interest email, and she sent our walker, Jules, out to meet us the next week. We knew it was true love when Jules walked in and said "That dog is a HYENA and hyenas are my favorite animal". Most people call her a tiger, but she is clearly a hyena. Jules has come to walk my pup three days a week for the past few months, and we couldn't be happier. Based on the photos Jules sends after every walk, it is very clear that Suki has a new best friend. Jules is quick to send an update after each walk, and is very responsive to communication in the Portal - even for unrelated tasks I forgot in the morning rush, like taking the blanket off the bed so Suki can't destroy it, as she is prone to do... Claire accepts my walk requests immediately, and the price is lower than anything else I was considering. We're so relieved to know Suki is taken care of and happy while we're at work. We love Baby Got Bark, and will be customers for many many years.

Dog Walking DC is the only dog walking service I've used, and I am very pleased with it…read more COST: The cost for my dog is $15 per half an hour. I believe my walker sometimes lengthens the time of the walk in order to pick up another dog, which is a bonus! You pay the bill monthly, and the walker marks a chart in your home every day so you know she was there. SERVICE: My walker, Andrea, is friendly and reliable. My dog loves her, and she is very good with him. I was a little worried about entrusting a stranger with keys to my home, but upon meeting JJ (the owner) and Andrea, my fears were immediately allayed. One of the great benefits of this service is that JJ gives helpful advice on animal behavior. My dog is challenging to walk, and JJ advised switching to a different harness and using certain training techniques to help him increase his confidence. Our walker also uses these techniques, so he gets consistent training. The advice and the training was spot on, and my dog's behavior has noticeably improved. I am so grateful to have walkers who are interested in creating a happy and healthy life for my dog, not just dragging him once around the block. Having a reliable dog walker who really cares about my dog means the difference between going to work feeling guilty and worried about leaving my dog and going to work confident that my dog is well-cared for. That is incredibly valuable to me, and I recommend this service to any pet owner. NOTE: Dog Walking DC also does pet boarding, but I have never used that service.

On our last trip, we sent our dog to JJ's rather than the nearby kennel, and she came back freshly bathed and brushed, and incredibly happy-- it made us feel like we'd almost been neglectful dog-owners ourselves! Because JJ keeps the dogs at her house, there isn't always room for boarding if you don't ask ahead of time (and she has cats, which make some dogs manic), but we will definitely go to her with all of our boarding needs whenever we can.
