I really love this pet store. It's large and clean. Never crowded whenever I stopped by. And parking at this shopping center is easy. Put Club has an extensive selection of cat and dog food. They also have things for other pets, like birds and fish. But the main thing is that they have a huge variety of Fussie Cat food , both dry and wet food. This is what kitty loves to eat right now, and this brand isn't sold everywhere. The wet food "in goat milk" is a winner. Regular price is pretty good, and they also go on sale frequently. They don't seem to have a lot of staff present, and that's fine since there aren't a lot of customers in the store. If nobody is at the register when you're ready to check out, just squeeze the chicken to let them know. There's never a long wait to check out. read more

I love the products and prices here, and some of the younger employees are great. But every single time I come to this location the manager is straight up awful. He'll straight up ignore you and leave you standing there waiting 10-15 minutes to check out even when the store is empty. Or he's just kinda acts like a jerk. This happens way too often and it's ridiculous so i had to finally write a review. Hope management finally does something about him because a lot of the other employees are actually kind and do their jobs right. read more

Came here to buy treats for my dog -- Pet Club has a great selection of affordable dog treats, but after seeing the fish that Pet Club sells, I won't be coming back. These fish are living in tiny tanks which are millions of times smaller than their habitats in nature. They are such amazing, playful, social animals and in 2026, it's upsetting to see them crammed into tanks and sold as if they're nothing but disposable merchandise. If Pet Club stops selling fish, I will happily become a customer again, but until that happens I will take my business elsewhere. read more

I've been wanting to check out Pet Club for a while now, and finally found some time to stop by on a Saturday. It's located in the shopping center with Raising Cane's and Ulta. Upon entering, I noticed that it looks pretty plain. It reminds me of Smart and Final or other discount, bulk/warehouse type stores. It was pretty empty with just a few other customers milling about the many aisles. There is definitely a ton of stuff in here, from basic grocery store brands to the fancier freeze-dried, raw brands and less common brands like canidae, taste of the wild, zignature, fromm, etc. Some of the sales and discounts make the prices pretty competitive, but most of the prices are PetSmart level. I picked up a small container of jerky treats from a brand I've never heard of, Pet Center Inc which looks a little bit sketchy, but it seems like a house brand. Be careful of the pricing though, it was labeled as $14.99 but it rang up as $17.99. Overall it seems like a good place to buy pet products and I'd prefer to support Pet Club than PetSmart or Petco, but they could do with cleaning the place up and creating a more inviting atmosphere. read more

I recently visited Pet Club in Colma and had a really good experience. The store is clean, well-organized, and has a solid selection of pet supplies. I was able to find everything I needed for my cat, from food to toys, and the prices were reasonable. The staff were friendly and helpful, though it did get a bit busy during my visit, so sometimes it felt like you had to wait a little for assistance. I do wish they had a slightly wider variety of premium or specialty pet products, but overall it's a great place for everyday pet needs. read more

I've been a long time customer of Pet club and have been a customer of this location since it opened. This is the second time I've witnessed the manager absolutely berating his employees. I am shocked and stunned at the egregious behavior. Especially in front of customers and I was there to witness to the entire account; what he was upset at the employee for ect. But the amount of aggression and unprofessionalism cannot be overlooked. I've called the corporate office multiple times try to connect to HR accounting and left a general message I absolutely need a response because this is the second time that I've seen something this disturbing at the store. I am ready to not spend my money there which is really unfortunate because so many of the employees are awesome very helpful always very kind I hope to get a response from the company. read more

I'm not one to yelp but the manager at pet club in colma is one of the rudest people I've come across in a very long time. Not once was he rude not twice but constantly. He's rude hateful and treats his great employees like crap. He will say things to them right in front of a customer. Angie and Daniel are two of my favorites there which is why I go but Benson crossed the line the last time I was there and to be honest, don't think I'll go back. I'm usually there 2 times a week. I've even called corporate to talk to them about Benson. Yes, he's really that bad and it's a shame. So beware of him. It would be wonderful to get him replaced and bring some positivity to the store. read more

I used to shop at the old location, and was very happy to know they moved to this new location in Colma. For starters, parking is always easy to find. Every time I have visited the store, even during their soft opening, the store is always spotlessly clean, and the shelves well organized and stocked. My dog Bella loves walking around the isles with me. I love the quantity and wide variety of products, and I am happy to see they stock very healthy options especially for dog food and treats. They have an awesome fish and reptile section as well. I purchased a larger habitat enclosure for my Whites Tree Frogs here - so happy they carry ExoTerra products. The 8 neon Tetras I purchased months ago from here are lively and doing very well. Kudos to the staff and management of this store, keep up the great work! This location is brand new -- between Marshall's and Home Depot, at the old Joann's Fabrics location. It's huge like a warehouse and items are about 85% stocked. It's super clean and organized right now. Some items are still being price tagged and they've got crew working on building the last section of fish and reptiles. I found an interesting aisle of squirrel feed -- had no idea there was such a thing! They've also got a good selection of raw cat/dog food, along with raw goat milk. The Pet Club in 280 Metro center is nice! I am still bummed out that Hung Ming Aquarium in Viz Valley Daly City died. I shopped with them before they shut down & bought 2 bettas & other items. Since those two died , I went to Petco & bought another one & had to make sure he would survive. Low & behold, this is how I ended up here. Boy, I was pleasantly pleased for the most part & will begin with my pros & cons lists below. Pros: 1. Reasonably priced with Bidenflation , rent & worker wage increases! Compared to boutique pet supply stores, this place is a must because it is still a local CA family owned & operated business. 2. The workers are all kind & helpful. From the beginning of the entrance & walking thru the shop they are always eager to help out & attend to the customers' needs. Anytime I had a question or needed to use the bathroom, I never got a bad response or anything negative. Very honest too. 3. The bathrooms are clean. 4. The aquatics department is coming up really nice. 5. They do have many items enough to keep your private zoo up & running. Cons: 1. Since they are new, they are not fully stocked or have everything one may need for their tank, especially if pro fish hobbyists may find skimpy. I was asking for a betta hammock & heater & they didn't have neither. 2. They don't have a ton of live animals & may not carry live birds. Must be politics or money , but no birds & the reptiles & other critters are delayed. 3. Not all the workers were experts or even educated on such items. I'm an on/ off again betta owner & the gal doing aquatics wasn't too much of an expert but she was helpful nonetheless. Also she didn't know how long feeder goldfish would last in a bag with oxygen pumped in. Sans oxygen, I was told in Petco, its 2 hours. 4. The manager overcharged me 2x and so i said i wanted to get a refund , however she told me to wait half an hour because she wants to go on lunch break when she could've just easily processed my refund. It's horrible customer service here, don't go to this pet club if you don't want to deal with rude employees. I bought flea medicine for my cats it had a coupon on front of box for 10.00 off, taken Connie but I don't know if she knew how to scan coupon it would save time to make sure your cashier is trained in all aspects of the job. I still didn't get sales tax back on the ten dollars . Store was getting ready to close so there was no line to worry about. I would've given a higher review if it weren't for their manager or supe whatever she is. I had to return a male Betta (fighting fish) which I bought 2 days ago 9/2/23, since it had gotten weak...maybe it was at its retirement age. I had questions as to what kinds of fish require low maintenance. Heather said only the fighting fish coz the others need everything plus heater. I went to the back where the fish were and was able to ask all my questions to the lady cleaning the tanks. I ended up buying 2 nice wild and healthy freshwater fish instead of Betta, plus conditioning kit and food. When I was getting ready to pay, I asked the cashier if he's doing a new receipt or an exchange. He then asked Heather which I didn't quite hear nor understand so I asked her a question. Heather said, "I know how to do my job, just wait and I'll show you." I kept my mouth shut after her comment. Pet Club Colma gives out free pet samples by the door. I asked if the Ultra Oil was for the dog or cats. Heather's answer sounded so condescending that it felt like she could've just said it's for dogs idiot, read the small prints! In conclusion, the workers at Pet Club in Colma are nice but the supe /or manager Heather is unprofessional and unfriendly. read more

I'm so excited that they put a Pet Club here! My doggos loved the inside and the selections they have to offer. You can tell that they're still filling their inventory since the shelves aren't fully stocked 100%. The staff was patient and friendly when one of my dogs had an whoopsie in the store. Beware they don't have "whoopies" stations like they do at the end of the isles at Pet Smart, so you have to ask a staff member for paper towels. Other than that, I can't complain.
