We have been here several times to self clean our pups, yet the last time for some reason we were told they weren't in the system. Our only issue with this location is that the tubs feel low and there are no community tools so we have to bring our own. Our backs are always aching after bath time, and I know that the tubs down in Seattle are higher and we don't have that issue. One of the pricier self wash spots I've been too but it has everything I care about, want and NEED from a operational self wash: - good water pressure - high quality blow dryers - water temperature control - no time limit AND I appreciate how many tubs they had available to the public so I didn't feel rushed. I have a golden retriever that needs very thorough baths with his medicated shampoo and MUST be completely dry when we are done. So it takes a WHILE. Because of all those things and the fact that I can't find anywhere else that checks off all the boxes, I'm happy to pay for it. And they have memberships that I plan on getting next time. I've been a member since they opened and will be cancelling my membership. Although the self-wash area is spachious, the staff has gotten pretty lazy at cleaning the tubs after clients have used them and some clients are as dirty as bad renters. The site was kept clean, initially, including the aprons provided, but as time progressed, we eventially had to buy our own aprons because the ones there literally stink and we are tired of having to clean the tub properly before bathing our boy. I had a good experience at Pet Evolution. They were open late on Sunday for emergencies. My emergency was that my mini labradoodle Mickey had diarrhea caked all over his bottom. I don't have a bathtub in my apartment. They took him on a Sunday night for a much need shampoo and hair trim. Full disclosure I have only used them for their mobile service to trim my cat's claws. I had no problem with the service they provided or how much they charged for it. I have two cats and the total cost for the mobile service to come to my home instead of me wrangling them in my car which they hate was only $5 more than taking them to a groomer near my house. That being said, when she rang up the transaction she asked me if I wanted to tip. I realize I can say no. But this whole tipping culture is really wearing me out. I paid for a service. You provided the service. What exactly did you as an individual do differently to warrant anything extra than the advertised price? You did what I paid you to do. You didn't bring any personal skill to do that job any differently than anybody else. I even held my cats for you. I give four stars because the actual service was done well, quickly, and for a fair price. But the simple fact that this girl asked if I wanted to tip infuriated me so much I'm questioning whether I will use their service ever again. read more

Five Stars for Per Evolution! I can't say enough good things about Per Evolution and the care they gave my Samoyed, Morgana--affectionately known as Madame. She was desperately in need of grooming, and I was a little nervous since I usually give her a vet-approved sedative beforehand due to her anxiety. This time, I forgot. But the groomers at Per Evolution handled her with incredible patience and care. They took the time to calm her gently, and to my amazement, Madame Sammy allowed them to bathe and groom her without the sedative. That speaks volumes about their compassion, skill, and understanding of anxious pets. She came back looking gorgeous--clean, fluffy, and happy. I am beyond grateful and will definitely be returning. The most expensive self wash I have had with zero perks.... Tubs are beautiful and easy to use, don't get me wrong. But the aprons left me SOAKED(NOT waterproof) and the only soap available is an EXTREMELY watered down, unscented soap. No ear cleaner, no conditioners, no brushes, no sensitive selections, nothing. I used half of a 32oz bottle of soap on my medium sized dog because it is so watered down. The towels are literal hand towels, also... For $33 you'd think you were getting something more than a tub and water... And the counter lady had the audacity to snicker when she saw I pressed no tip! read more

I use their self‑wash station about once a month, and it's easily the best setup I've found -- spacious, well‑stocked with clean towels & aprons, and simple to use. We took our Bichon Frise for a full grooming here at the newly opened Pet Evolution in Mill Creek. We were really happy with the care and attention given to him by each of the crew members there. They were all very sweet to our pup! The groomer took her time with us asking questions about his grooming experience, looking at pictures of what we wanted, and even did a little get to know you with our puppy while giving him attention and loves. The grooming experience was perfect and he came out beautiful! We finally found a perfect place to take our pup every couple of months for a full groom. They even have a frequent customer membership which gives you 10% off all grooming and retail products to name a few of the perks. We highly recommend this Pet Evolution! read more

Often times, added fees exceeded $75 for "special handling" for which they attribute this to a wiggly dog...theirs groomers were unwilling to listen, articulate their rationale, which resulted in a poor customer experience. Sarah has been grooming Princess for many years and she is so kind and gentle with her. Princess had had a traumatic grooming(at a different grooming place) and Sarah was able to help Princess heal from that experience. She loves coming to get groomed now. We have also found some healthy dog food and treats and toys she likes. Sarah always gives us samples and it is just so great to have a place where everyone is so friendly. read more

I went in for an ear cleaning and nail trim and in the past was told just to walk in, that they don't make appointments for that. I took time out of my day to walk in only to be turned away. I will look for a place that is more reliable and able to take my business now. I get they don't make as much money on this service... but to say "just walk in" and not have the service available is frustrating. read more

The place I usually take my dogs for grooming went up in price so I decided to check out Pet Evolution after seeing it mentioned by locals on Facebook. I emailed them to see if they had any groomers who were specifically good with shih tzus and they suggested Amanda. Amanda was very kind and gentle with my dogs which is definitely required for one of my dogs. I told her I wanted them to get the teddy bear haircut. She showed me a sample of clipping sizes, we talked about their ears and tail, then she was off to do her thing. It took 3 hours to groom both of my dogs. I was surprised and impressed. She did an amazing job! We will definitely be returning and it seems the atmosphere is less chaotic for my babies. No one told me about the 10% off for returning customers like the first reviewer mentioned. Will definitely ask about this perk! read more

The cut was good the groomer and pet didn't mesh. That isn't necessarily the groomers fault but in 6 years of going to groomers on a regular 8-10 week basis I've never been told my Yorkie was mean. Only 1 star, because 0 isn't an option. I brought my golden retriever in for nail trim and paw fur trim. They were unable to complete the job, because they said my dog had had enough and I could come back tomorrow to finish the job. Then they charged me $57 for the job. I was shocked! Came for the first time today because I heard they have self wash. There are a few self wash places by me (mukilteo) but they are shoved in the corner and are poor quality. I usually drive down to Marymoor and use their self wash. It's way cheaper than here, but this is a high quality place. You can walk around all sides of the wash. They provide everything you need (but their shampoo is very watered down so you use a ton, next time I would bring my own), including a brush. I had two dogs and my only comment would that they need to install hooks on the wall or front of washes for second dog. Thankfully it was just me, so my second dog roamed freely. I was really disappointed with the grooming service, especially considering how expensive it was. They didn't know how to properly shape a round face, as my dog ended up with a triangular one. The haircut was uneven in several areas, with longer patches of hair left in some spots. On top of that, I specifically asked the groomer to leave the hair under my dog's rear longer, but he didn't listen and trimmed it way too short. For the price I paid, the service was not worth it, and I won't be going back.and whenever I look at my dog I feel very sad because I took him there! read more

We were excited to hear of a new place closer to us but they are very pricey, charging 1st by the weight of the dog, and our dog is considered a medium dog every else at 52-55 lbs but since they make 46 lbs as the cut-off for large dog, we have to pay $140 for a full grooming. Where we used to paying no higher than $90 EVERYWHERE else we have taken our dog in his 8 years of life. All had been great groomers mind you. This is our 2nd time going to Pet Evolution they did a good job the 1st time so we figured it might be worth it to have someone closer to us, so we scheduled another visit. This time the groomer was a different lady- Emily, and she was very upsell-focused and told us that it would now be $165 when we arrived, because our dog required the de-shedding. I always assumed de-shedding is included in a full grooming as I have never been charged extra before anywhere else. She kept saying you dont need to have the de-shedding but you may have lumps and matts. ??!! My dog gets regular grooming so he was not extra anything but she said the 1st groomer gave us the de-shedding for free and she was just not comfortable doing that-and if we canceled then we would be charged a cancellation fee. This was day of service to a repeat customer. We were considering not doing it because of the old bait-and-switch selling techniques, and then later when we picked him up, the cashier told us she said she would waive a cancellation but Emily lied about that. So we went through with it and were unhappy with the customer service. When we went to pick him up, we could not then afford a tip on top of nearly $200 bill with the added de-shedding and the lady who rung us up said the last groomer was fired because of us - for giving us the free de-shedding which she never mention to us it was free in the 1st place. That would be enough not to go back but this morning my dog has puffs of hair all over the rug -so the extra de-shedding is not so great after all and we have never had that happen after a grooming. When we brushed him this morning tons of hair came out of his undercoat. I don't think they know what they are doing with dogs with undercoats, or that they care about repeat customers. Just upsell-upsell services for everything, $$$ driven. He also did not get a bandana, and he smelled like hair spray. Even the note to us was obnoxious saying what a hairy dog he is and how much better he is now. We'll go back to our groomers in Woodinville. read more

We loved taking our two dogs to wash them just the other day! Facilities were clean and easy to use and our biggest dog who is always neurotic was able to get herself into the tub! The biggest problem was the polished slippery floors! On the way in and even worse on the way out with wet paws! We had to help carry our 90 pound dog! Please install rubber mats! read more
