    A happy customer

This is the vet you are looking for! Dr. Dani and Michael are an amazing team. From the time I booked the visit their communication and professionalism made me feel comfortable and confident about the decision to book with them for a long needed check up on my 7 year old dog. Dr. Dani and Michael did a thorough check up and texted with me during the visit to make recommendations and give me options. They are kind and so skilled. Our sweet dog needed some TLC and he got it. Their recommendations have made my dog healthier and happier which is priceless to me and my family. Do yourself and your furry friends a favor and book with Pet-Fixer Mobile Veterinary Service. I'll always use them and am grateful for their expert care and kindness.

Mobile vets is a novel idea but I was always worried about cost. I chose pet fixer out of a hat basically and after our service I will never go to a stationary vet or another mobile vet service besides pet fixer. Not only did she come on time she was extremely courtious. I have to small children so I got a neighbor to watch my kids as I was unsure how involved I'd have to be. She showed up with a vet tech and the most I had to lift my finger was to find our cats and hand them to her. She took them outside and provided the service without my help. Awesome! As the other reviewer mentioned the total cost was only $30 more than if I went to a stationary vet. That is well worth it to me since I'd either have to get a baby sitter for my kids or lug both them and the two cats to a vets office. I can't remember the vets name as I don't have her business card but she is the only vet and owner of pet fixer. She has an answering service so it seems like its a bigger company than it is. Even the paging/answering service she contracts to set up appointments is on top of things.

Now I cannot rave about our vet Dr Kaala enough. She takes her time, builds our dogs trust, and genuinely cares. From the moment she walks in the room, she is calm and kind, she gets on his level, and she takes her time to let him warm up. She is a wonderful example to her staff and sets a perfect tone. No matter how many times our dog walks away from her, she keeps her cool and encourages him back. She talks us through his care and makes sure all our questions are answered (yes we are those very involved dog parents). Dr Kaala is truly a gem and we are so grateful to have been recommended to go to her. We drive 40 minutes just go to Tiger Tails based of a recommendation from a friend who also drives that far! Dr Kaala is worth it and after two visits now we are clearly not going anywhere else.

Tiger Tails had been my dog's primary vet for at least 4 years. I brought my dog to Tiger Tails…read moreafter an emergency hospital visit the night before due to vomiting and fever. The emergency hospital had given him a fever-reducing shot that was supposed to last 24 hours. When we arrived at Tiger Tails first thing the next morning, we clearly told the staff and doctor about this and that it had only been 12 hours since it was given. The doctor took his temperature, did a quick checkup, and said he was fine -- then sent us home. We had pleaded that it was strange he wasn't eating or drinking and he was vomiting with hints of blood, but she kept insisting that he may have just ate something bad or just elder dog symptoms. Just 13 hours later, my dog passed away. I trusted Tiger Tails to take our concerns seriously and to monitor him properly after everything he had been through, but I feel that they dismissed his condition too easily. I am heartbroken and will never forget how this was handled. Please be cautious and make sure your pet gets the thorough care they deserve.

Not a Happy Customer…read more. Dropped my cat off for a teeth cleaning procedure. Got a call in the afternoon that he needed teeth pulled which added to the cost of the cleaning. $70 per tooth from the $275. I come by to pick him up in the afternoon. They give me my now 500 dollar bill...but whatever it is for my cat. As long he was treated well then it okay...well he was not treated well, being sent home with blood all over his foot, cat litter caked deep into his fur that it needed to be remove with scissors (Tail and rear area) and the cat carrier is covered in cat litter as well. The bear minimum they could have done is communicate that they cut his nails to bleeding. When I called back to ask them what the hell happened. They said they wouldn't let them clean him? And that he woke up and injuried his nail on the cage? First off the cat is under drugs and can bearly stand up let alone fight back... I mean how can you handle a small cat.. Second anytime something blood related not to deal with procedure itself should at least be communicated. So I call back and they say they are sorry and if there is anything they could do to make me feel better. Look it isn't about me feeling better, it is about my cat not able to stand on his foot like it is broken from being mishandled AND them not even telling me about it. I will be taking my cat elsewhere as I cannot trust them with the quality of care they provide. 100% look elsewhere.

My husband brought my 9 year old chihuahua in for a check up, and she had protein in her urine. Enough that it was a point of concern for the veterinarian. When the labs were returned, the vet called me at 830am to discuss the findings. After speaking for almost half an hour, the vet was still not done explaining the condition of my dog and the care plan we needed to follow. She excused herself saying that she needed to prepare for her day and that she would call me again after she was done to finish the conversation. I am thinking to expect her call around 5 because that's when most offices close. When I never got a return call around that time, I just assumed she would call me back the next day or something. I really wasn't all that worried because we were discussing an existing condition for my dog. I get a phone call past 9pm!! I feel terrible for this lady. She has clearly been working for over 12 hours, and she is still taking the time to call me as she had promised. That is absolute dedication! It's definitely nice to feel like we are cared about.

I have one concern: Ivy Hill Animal Hospital does not seem to want to take dogs with special needs,…read morelarger breeds, or ones that are lab/boxer/pit mix. On my first visit there years ago, I was working for a company that delivers to their place. Back then, they were hesitant to accept my dog, but (I believe) that because I saw them most days for business, they allowed it. I haven't been back to the office in a few years and have since loss rapport with them. I was told today (April 2024) that since my dog requires sedatives prior to his annual shots (just like he did on my last visit there), and because they "haven't seen him," they will not allow him to ever be seen at the office. I asked, "Is this true even if he was a patient a few years ago (because he was seen there before)" The reply was, "yes." After, the receptionist quickly got me off the phone by referring me to "Urgent Vet." When asking for their phone number, I was told, "You can find that on your own at their website." In summary, Ivy Hill Animal Hospital has a clean location, and when they know you, the staff seem kind. But any veterinary clinic that is unwilling to work with a particular dog breed or dogs with special needs, is not one worthy of a good review.
