Hard to find a place that boards animals anymore. The animal hospitals don't want to do it even at their high rates. We found The Pet Lodge after having gone to another much larger local facility that had a horrible odor in the lobby where you check in your pets. You know what I mean. Our cat seemed ok when we picked him up after the stay but we felt like throwing up and if he did he couldn't tell us. We refused to go back. The Pet Lodge people treated us and out cat like family and he seemed happy when we picked him up after a longer stay. Their prices are also very reasonable and they offer to give medication if necessary. We will be back there and feel confident our cat will be safe while we are away. 5* read more

Been going for years and love the groomer we use for our first dog. She is unable to do both of my dogs so for the younger one we have used the owner - but after 2 terrible encounters with the owner we will never return. Treat customers how you would like to be treated. We were given the option for our dog last time to demat or shave- we chose to demat and paid almost $200 extra for the groom for the dematting and then was told today - time after the groom that the groomer (owner) is no longer interested in grooming my dog going forward. gave it 2 stars because one of the groomers there is excellent and will miss her for the one dog read more

Update: Maggie had her second visit today. Truly talented. I was looking for a groomer that dealt with dogs who are anxious (and a bit aggressive in our case). We give our Havanese, Maggie, a small dose of Trazodone in order to calm her before any grooming session. We had an appointment at 12:30, got a call a little past 2 saying our dog was ready for pickup. I was very glad the staff at the Pet Lodge took my anxious dog in quickly and worked on her right away. Also, due to covid Maggie hadn't had a decent haircut in awhile. Pet Lodge did a wonderful job shaving off alllllll the matted hair that built up over time. THANK YOU! read more

Not a good experience. Both the owner/groomer and the office manager (both men) are in the wrong business: they're miserable, unhappy, unfriendly and show no love for the dogs. First time there, I thought "bad day" and let it go, second time groomer/owner complained about how my dog was nervous and skittish and hard to groom (she's been groomed many times and I have never had a complaint). I'll never go back to these miserable people! read more

I have been sending my dog Paisley to pet lodge for boarding, day care and grooming services for 4 years. She is SO happy when we pull in the driveway and she is always greeted with employees that show genuine love and care for her. I moved over an hour away from pet lodge, and i still make the trip to bring my dog here for boarding. I will be a loyal customer for as long as my dog is around. Let me start by saying that the man in the office is very rude, unprofessional and has no sense of communication. Just business and taking money and could care less about any information you give him about your pets. We brought both of our dogs there so they can be kept for 3 nights due to a family emergency in another state and let me tell you the first sign to leave with our dogs was when a couple was picking up their dog and they brought out the wrong dog with a totally different name (just like the commercial) then they waited 10 minutes to have their dog brought out. The establishment is very dirty and noisy which makes it a very stressful environment for your pets. When they brought our dogs out both were coughing and immediately we made an appointment with the vet who stated there was a chance it could be kennel cough or a cold. They were given antibiotics and are much better now. The staff did not address it when they brought out the dogs and could care less after we left because we were never contacted to check on them. Please go elsewhere and don't put your pets through the stress or the dirty conditions that you will notice as soon as you walk in. By the way no stars from us and we will never go back. First of all that man is not nice, does not have any communication skills and should have the basic mannerisms to greet someone when they enter. Why do your answers always include an issue that you're having on site like the last one I remember was that you had an elderly dog having issues after someone complained. Enough with the excuses. Treat people and their pets with respect and how funny that we're the cause of your outbreak of kennel cough. Vet checked them out and they've been cleared of kennel cough so I guess your facility is the cause and ground zero for everyone else's kennel cough. Terrible terrible facility and to say our dogs are super aggressive is a joke. We requested for them not to be with the other dogs to prevent them from getting sick and I guess we were right cause you did have a breakout and our dogs were spared. read more

I have used Pet Lodge for a number of years and could not be happier with the service and the staff. As the owner of a handicapped dog, I was never comfortable boarding my Frenchie with anyone other than my Vet...but with their recommendation, I tried pet Lodge and couldn't be happier. It was a relief to be able to board both my dogs at the same place and know that they were well taken care of and in good hands. They are so accommodating and can be depended upon to always find room for my dogs if a last minute emergency requires boarding. Although I no longer have Homer who died of respiratory failure at age 12, I will always be grateful for the care and attention that the staff at Pet Lodge showed Homer. I have been boarding my 9 year old dog since he was a pup. We recently moved an hour and a half away and still brought him to Pet Lodge when we could. We had to leave him locally a few times. We tried two different places and I won't waste your time telling you how bad they both were. I will now go out of my way to always bring him there, that's how much of a difference there is. Pet Lodge is very clean without that bleach covering dog poop smell that permeated the other two places we tried. We just did not get near the same feeling of cleanliness we always get at Pet Lodge. read more

My dog was skunked last night. They were able to fit us into the schedule today. When I picked up my dog he was smelling so much better. He feels so soft and clean. And best of all he came out super happy. So not only am I happy and satisfied, my dog seemed to really enjoy the experience too. Just moved to the area and was looking for a new groomer. We took a chance on this place with all of the rave reviews. Sad to say that we will likely not come back. We arrived and since it was our first time were a bit disoriented since this place has two entrances. The one sign said office so we tried the other one. Someone banged on the window and shouted "use the other door" - okay fine, no prob. We went into the office area and were not greeted by the man in the front. He said "name? appointment?" I gave him both and he made us fill out a card with pet info. A woman came out and took my dog with her, leaving the card on the table that i just filled out with specifics to my dog. I was a little nervous about this at this point but decided to give them the chance. 4 hours later... which is longer than i am used to, I gave them a call to inquire about a finish time. They said it would be another HALF HOUR. When i finally went to pick up my dog, it took another 5 minutes for him to come out. Hair cut is okay but my pup was ready to go home. The haircut cost about $80 with tip. Two stars for the cut, nothing else for the service, people, location. read more

Brought my little yorkie to get groomed and was disappointed. The salon was extremely small and dog hair all over the place. Very strange that 2 people work on a dog, one holding the dog down. Her haircut was just ok and had better grooming in other place. I gave a large tip and I didn't even get a thank you. Will be shopping around for another groomer. read more

My Dog stares at me every morning hoping to spend the day at the Pet Lodge. Best money I have ever spent. She loves the place...loves the dogs and especially the great folks that run the place. I have been a customer of Pet Lodge for almost 7 years. In the beginning the groomers where awesome and always did a great job! Treated my pets as if they were my children! There has been so much turn around with the grooming staff, it's never the same people! The new staff is rude and so unprofessional. Made my appointment for 10 am, got there a few minutes late and they gave my appointment to someone else, without even calling! I guess that's what seven years of being a loyal customer at almost $200 a visit get you!!!! GO somewhere else, Customers (and our dogs) DON"T deserve the bad attitude, like there are doing you a favor! When there is that much turn around in a groomer, somethings not right! read more

This is a great place to have your pet groomed. I bring my cat to get her hair and nails trimmed and everyone there is so nice. The place is clean and the prices are very competitive. I was impressed by the website, so I gave it a try, being new to the area. My dog, who has an easy coat and a good temperament, took them over 4 hours to groom, with an appointment!! It was ridiculous. At the end, 1 hour after their estimated time, I went in there. At that time he was still waiting to be dried. During the 15 minutes I was there, they asked if I wanted his nails done, hair trimmed and sanitary done....all of which were listed as basic inclusions in the wash and trim.....WHAT WERE THEY DOING FOR 4 hours?! Also, during the time I was there, my dog was handled by no less than 4 different people . They did not in any way handle him roughly, I just prefer a more streamlined approach (1 groomer per dog, or at least per station). They say they were short staffed, everyone was nice enough, but if I make an appointment, I am not interested in my dog waiting in a cue or kennel for hours before his turn. Make fewer appointments if you don't have the hands to tend the animals in a timely manner. That being said, his haircut was fine, but I had to remind them to do all the basics as mentioned above. It also took an absurd amount of time. The cost for services was reasonable. read more

We have taken our dogs to Pam and her staff since 1987. They are great with all the dogs, but have a particular flair for poodles and similar breeds... our two Standard Poodles come away just beautiful and everyone comments... so we spread the word about The Grooming Table!! --Its great that our Stoodles' puppy-style cuts last a good long while, too, without coming home looking shaved off... --Our Border Collie RIP used to come out gleaming! And our Otterhound RIP had one of those mixed double coats, soft but a little wiry -- and always came out handsome and proud of himself... ---The Grooming Table honors special requests, e.g. we provide her with a special jojoba oil rinse that she holds for us to use on the girls -- They are accommodating to meet your schedule and even try to "squeeze in" if they can, if there is something that has come up. ---Their prices are reasonable and competitive, and I seem to recall they honor other coupons but you'll have to call to be sure. --They provide a clean and safe environment--- And Pam sets the environment with her staff to be kind and friendly with the dogs, putting them at ease... So while the girls dont like it when Mom takes off no matter where they are, they bounce into The Grooming Table like a familiar place... --Do not hesitate to take your pups to Pam and her team! read more
