Just had a great experience with Pet Palace today. I am working on being self quarantined as much as I can, however, needed dog food for our pup. We get the 25 pound bags of a brand that they carry. So I called ahead and a charming young man took my order and credit card. They walked it to my car and put it in my trunk. I'll let it sit there for 24 hours and it will be good to go. Great selection of all types of foods, beds, treats, and other various supplies for your pets. I recently started feeding my dog a different diet due to medical concerns and I was offered insight both times I visited. They also carry fermented fish stock, which I have had a tough time finding. Went to the store with my VERY picky VERY fat dog and said, "This is my fat dog and we want to change that" I got recommended a variety of items, took the advice and purchased the food. Went home, gave it to my dog and......HE ATE IT!!! Holy cow!! It's a miracle!! My family and I just sat around and stared at the miracle of my dog eating dog food!!! Great store!! It is bigger than you think. Pet Palace has a great selection of natural pet and treats, even raw food and Alligator Biscuits. The toy selection is amazingly big,like an entire wall. The customer service is wonderful. They have been in business locally owned for 20 years so they know their stuff. They carry above the necessities for pets. If you run into a younger employee they are super friendly and really helpful, the ones who are a bit older and who have been there longer show they don't enjoy there jobs there as much... I've been a loyal customer here for 8 years but am considering moving on. My visit a few days ago was the third trip in a row a bag of dog food rang up $3 dollars more than marked. The sign has been inaccurate for over 5 months. Basic customer service would dictate they honor their sign and change it. They honored the posted price the first two times, but today the clerk/manager said bluntly "prices have gone up" and asked an employee to go change it, but did not honor the price as posted. I like to support small businesses like Pet Palace, but I'm questioning why I'm loyal to this place when they don't have the customer service to honor signs they know are incorrect. It's bordering on deceptive. If you go here, make sure your receipt matches up with posted prices when you check out. read more

I am a fan of Pet Palace. It's the only place that I know around here that sells the food we feed our Boston Terrier. We use Canidae dry food and every now and then we'll use some wet canned Canidae mixed in. (He's on an all-protein diet)...lol, if only I was as disciplined for myself. Anyway, I like that they have a lot of healthy options for our little furry friends. I also like the random cats chillin' around. I'd recommend this place to anyone who wants to feed their pet quality pet food...as much quality as you can get with store bought pet food anyway. read more

I have been going here for probably six years. We got one of our cats there. We have two cats and a dog and they have-by far-the best selection of heathy animal foods and a very knowledgeable and helpful staff. It's a locally owned business and the owners are usually there working as well. So much better than all of the big box pet stores out there! Dr Haas treated our kitten, Aspen when she got sick. Ultimately she had FIP, and didn't survive, but through the whole process of trying to get her healthy, Dr Haas stood by our side and gave us the tools we needed to do as much home care as possible. He did everything he could to hopefully rule out FIP, before he diagnosed her as such. She had a few overnight stays with him and spent a lot of days in the hospital having fluids and food through IV. We made the hard decision to have her euthanized when it became obvious that she was not meant to come back home with us. He is a gruff old man who you feel concerned with him treating your animals, until you see just how much every little life means to him. I could tell he was sad when he had to euthanize Aspen. While he was treating her, he would call to check up on her. He also treated another cat of mine and we felt he had the same level of care with her, and he even started to warm up to us. read more

I love the product line they sell. But I have to say, I attended their big "Up To 40% off weekend sale". And when I got home, I realized that the Salmon Oil that I give my guy was MARKED UP!!! Pet Palace is a nice pet store and well stocked. Their prices are not the best in town but they are helpful and it has a pleasant atmosphere. I can recommend the store but not really the vet clinic in the back. I give Pet Palace 4 stars for cool pet store with healthful choices for dogs cats and more small animals and only 3 for prices but beware of the Vet Clinic there are better choices in town and you have to wait quite a while with mediocre treatment by the Vet although his staff is nice which can be misleading as they somewhat promise more than they deliver. and you still have to pay. They may be good for routine shots if you don't mind the wait on hard benches.. The actual vet treatment was surprisingly low quality. No Royal Treatment at the Vet Clinic, The store itself is pet friendly and has an original character with friendly staff. read more

I usually try to buy my cat's wet+dry food here as opposed to the larger chain stores. I like that they have more of a natural selection, everything from the food to toys, food dishes, etc seem to be of high quality. The atmosphere of the store is nice, more laid back and not chaotic like some of the bigger pet stores (plus they have cats and dogs roaming around that are adorable and friendly). I have yet to have bad customer service there. Plus it's right next to my gym making it more convenient :) read more

The staff are so friendly and helpful. During their anniversary celebration, my mom's Husky was very sick and they helped us to find the right food for her... amazing advice, amazing selection. Even though more convenient to us, we recently stopped using Petco due to service and knowledge issues. Do not take exotics to this vet! Not only was the examination not helpful in the positive sense, but another (better) exotic vet informed me that the topical ointment I was prescribed by this clinic could have been harmful. The office should not inform people that Dr. Haas sees exotics, he is obviously not qualified to do so. read more

Dr haas is a bit grumpy, but he is a great vet who knows his stuff, and always has a fair price for work. It will suck when he retires soon!

Have all the premium pet foods you could want. They have great supplements, beds, toys, shampoos, everything. Oh and they have turtles and fish too, along with a couple of adoptable animals. Great place to go into and have the resident cat greet you and a couple of goofy dogs walking around. I've been going there since about 2004, and they have great hours! read more

I loved this place! I initially went here on a recommendation for allergy testing for my pup, which was a great experience in itself, but the store is awesome! They have everything you could imagine for your pet. The best foods, toys, and advice. I highly recommend the allergy test! My dog has never been better, after I received the list of things she should not have, and on a special diet! LOVE this place. I had read a lot of reviews that the customer service was poor here. I can only speak for Megan, who did the testing. She was great! Spent quite a bit of time with me, explaining the test results and recommending food options. The other staff didn't really say anything to me. I understand how that could be off-putting. My dog went koo koo over their goats milk, and I have had a tough time getting my dog to eat anything! Love this place. The test was a reasonable $40! The other items in the store are very expensive, in my opinion, but sometimes it's worth it. If you are skeptical of this allergy testing, try it! It has done wonders for my dog. read more

Dr. Haas was a wonderful vet for my beloved cat. He treated and cared for her for many years. His expertise and excellence were much appreciated, along with straight forward common sense. Dr. Haas consistently went above and beyond, calling on evenings and after hours to check on her. I always knew she was in good hands and that his primary concern was my cat's well being, not money. His staff is excellent and caring, too. I hope Dr. Haas is still practicing when I am ready to adopt again. My mother has also taken her cats to Dr. Haas and has always been very pleased. We have immense trust and respect for Dr. Haas. read more

I would say that Pet Palace is a wonderful place but that would be an understatement! I can't put into words how much they have helped me take care of my pets. They always go out of their way to assist me and they always have a smile on their faces. I have a disability that unfortunately makes it very difficult to shop for and take home the food and toys for my dogs and cat. They always go above and beyond to help me out. I have referred many friends to Pet Palace and they all say the say things. You can't get the kind of service that they provide at any of the chain stores. Last Tuesday I brought my male ferret into see Dr. Haas because he was losing weight quickly, not eating or drinking and bloody stool. I was syringe feeding him... he weighted 1 lb, the back of his tongue was bloody red, but because ferrets are an 'exotic' pet not many people know what could be wrong. Dr. Haas never saw anything like this, so he researched it. Still slightly stumped he gave my ferret a shot of amoxicillin and a syringe full of another medicine. He quickly got worse, the two minute walk to the car he started to have a seizure in his crate, I sat there rubbing his head as his breathing started to get worse. His breathing got better and better by the minute, to the point where I was ok bringing him home, but still unsure about putting him to sleep. A week and a Half later, he's done with his medicine, eating solids, drinking on his own, and already gained the weight back. I'm extremely grateful for Dr. Haas, he saved my last baby from my original group of ferrets, and saved me from the pain of putting another ferret to sleep this year. Ariana and Kreios read more

I certainly wouldn't recommend this vet to anyone. We went there because (the only pro) he was the only vet that was still open on a holiday eve. Not only was the wait time excessive but, the worst part was that he took a phone call in the middle of my dog's exam (which he could have easily called back). Not only did he leave my dog on the table for 15 minutes (a 60 pound dog who he didn't even offer to help me, a 100 pound woman, to get on the table), but he also spent 10 minutes on the phone call and then proceeced to take another 10 minutes to kick back, relax and have a beverage in his office before he returned to the exam room (I had a full view of him reclining in his office chair from our exam room). This man could care less about the pets he is "caring" for. He used to be fairly cheap but, other than that, I have nothing good to say about the care he provides. This all is not even mentioning the doctor's extremely poor bedside manner...very cold and distant. Normally I do not care about beside manner (if the vet is competent), but it became clear that Dr. Haas was not only cold and uncaring, but also incompetent. read more
