Clinical findings revealed a life-threatening internal body temperature of 105°F, dehydration requiring subcutaneous fluids, and an advanced, untreated ear infection. His official diagnosis was Fever of Unknown Origin (FUO) and otitis externa precipitated by environmental stress and prolonged lack of monitoring. Upon obtaining the kennel's internal activity logs, I discovered a shocking lack of care: * May 31 Log: Entirely blank with zero staff initials, meaning my cat went completely unverified after arrival. * Zero Hydration Records: Absolutely no monitoring or metrics regarding water intake over his entire 14-day stay. * Ignored Red Flags: Staff logged that he "ate half of wet food" but failed to check his vitals or contact my emergency numbers. * Blank Comment Sections: Clear evidence of routine box-checking rather than actual welfare evaluations. A feline body temperature does not reach 105°F instantly, and an ear infection does not advance without visible signs. Their own records prove Happy Tails Pet Lodge failed in their basic duty to provide adequate care and health oversight. I wanted to ensure he was well-exercised, taken care of, and socialized as soon as possible. I love taking Onyx to The Barkmore. He seems to genuinely love going, and I have always felt that they do everything in their power to ensure each and every pup has the time of their lives every single day, rain or shine. I bring my pooch in every week day, and sometimes on Saturday. We are always greeted by name (well, Onyx and Onyx's mommy lol), and Onyx gets so happy when he sees whatever team member is at the door. They are quick to answer any and all questions I may have, and they offer amazing suggestions on the breed, his age, and enrichment ideas that they do at the pupclub that we can do at home as well. Every afternoon, I get a report card that includes pictures and sometimes videos of Onyx playing with his friends, hanging out in the pool, or chilling in the shade (what a ruff life!). The dogs go out in groups of about 12, and the dogs are sorted by temperament rather than size. They get playtime a few times a day, with some rest time between. My interaction with TBR started with my emailing with the owner, Stephanie. She always answered all my questions professionally, and with an undeniable love of dogs. It was easy to see how her Resort was much more than just a business for her. After multiple emails with Stephanie, I brought Onyx in for a trial day before making my decision (and tbh, while the package prices are very good, even a drop-in day is a great rate). Onyx had a blast, made friends, and was one sleepy pup when we got home. Since then, he has gone pretty much every single weekday while I'm at work, and occasionally on Saturdays when I have to be out for a bit. Everyone is so welcoming and kind, and they host weekly events for the dogs (Photos with Cupid, Catch the Lepracon, etc) as well as special enrichment days once a week that can be added on to the regular daycare. These are fun one on one events with the dogs for things like story-time, obstacle course, floating lick bowl fun, painting... there are so many excellent adventures! We love it so much that we've not only purchased each enrichment event that has come up, Onyx will be going to their board and train program in a week. They just love the pups so much, and take such amazing care of them, mentally and physically.

I didn't care too much, but after returning home, I realized that things might not be what he said. . Raven was very happy to go to dogtopia before, waving his tail when he came out. Today he was very disappointed, and he hide himself very fast when he entered the door. I really can't think of how he knocked out such a smooth wound in the cage, unless someone took his neck and threw him into the cage and hit the ground . Yesterday I also sent him to dogtopia, but he was very happy. I don't know what happened today. And I really like dogtopia, but today I can't accept the explanation from the staff.I'm so sad that my baby has become like this. ------ update！ they never say sorry for Raven.Raven hasn't moved since returning home yesterday and has been shaking until today. We originally chose this location because it was the only one in the area that allowed my lab-pit mix to join in play groups due to her breed (she is the sweetest dog you'll ever meet). We keep using them because time after time we pick her up and get a 5 minute story about how silly and sweet she is, or a detailed reenactment of how she was playing out back. From the stories they tell and the fact that they know my dog by name as we walk in, you can tell they care for your dog as if she was their own. It was nice that this place took us on short notice. We needed a place for our puppy to stay since…read morewe were buying a home and couldn't have her stay with us. They also took her to the vet to find that she had a UTI. More on this later... The place was at an old house. It was quite small, but it was what they had. The rooms were little wooden walled rooms. It was nice that our puppy wouldn't be shoved into a small crate or cage somewhere. We interacted with one woman who was very pleasant. A couple times later, that woman was gone. We were then dealing with another woman who was far from pleasant. She had a very condescending tone each time we spoke with her. She argued with us about the rates and dates of stay. Even if the customers were wrong, you don't speak to them that way. This is Customer Service 101. They took our puppy to the vet when there was a suspected UTI. This was very awesome of them to help us out with this. That seems like going above and beyond to me. We are very grateful for that. What's upsetting is that they didn't give the medicine to our puppy in appropriate doses. The pill was prescribed at once every 12 hours. There were enough to be done in about a week. Two weeks later we picked up our puppy and the medicine still had a few pills left. This means that our puppy did not receive the dosage correctly. If this were a more serious UTI, or other condition, things could have been much worse for our dog. The business ended up relocating while they had our dog. They told us they would be moving, but didn't give us a street address. They mentioned it was "down the road about a mile." We drove down that way, but couldn't find it. We were able to get the address and find the place on the day we picked up our puppy. The new place was in a mobile home. We didn't tour or care to look around. We can't give feedback on that new location. Overall, we weren't happy with this place based on the woman owner. We started out happy, but that turned around when she spoke to us the way she did. I would not recommend this place to a friend.
