I've never had a problem scheduling an appointment and they're open on Saturdays, which is great. Dr. Caputo came highly recommended from a friend who's family pets were cared for by Dr. Caputo for years. Pet owners need to educate themselves before they go to the vet, because you will end up 1) taking all of the vets advice and overspending on pet care for "unnecessary" vaccines, food, services, etc and 2) leaving disgruntled because you felt that you were being pressured into something. Find out which vaccines are necessary for the lifestyle that your pet lives and have an open dialog with Dr. Caputo (or whichever vet you choose to see) about your and your pet's needs. The only "complaint" that I have are the other clients who bring in massive and sometimes unruly dogs that they cannot handle or keep from bothering the other pets and clients in the lobby. It can be quite nerve wrecking when you're there with a small animal or puppy and there's a 100+ pound dog trying to get away from its owner.

We were told it was a cyst, the veterinarian did use a needle to see what was inside and blood came out. The veterinarian told us if it came back to "pop it". We were given some antibacterial wipes to use for a couple days following the appointment. He had a grooming appointment shortly after and when we brought him home we noticed the "cyst" had gotten bigger. We took him to a veterinarian who has treated other dogs in our family for years. Within minutes of looking at him he told us it was not a cyst and in fact a tumor. He was scheduled for surgery the following week. When we picked him up the veterinarian told us it was likely malignant but we now have clear margins. I do NOT recommend this veterinary hospital. If we had not thought to seek a second opinion who knows what would have happened to our dog. We go to these veterinarians because we care and want the best for our animals only for him to be misdiagnosed and he's not even 2 years old yet. To any animal owners it is imperative to be their voice and seek treatment when you know something is wrong.

Back when I lived on a 40-acre ranch in Northern California, I had plenty of space and other dogs around to help with the process. When my wife and I were fostering dogs in Michigan, she fell in love with a Miniature Pinscher mix named Obi. He was different from any dog I'd trained before, and without other dogs to help with training, it was a challenge. We needed Obi to be able to travel the world with us and assist my wife with her PTSD. Within six weeks, Fred from The Dog Wizard trained us on how to make Obi an incredible companion. The transformation was night and day. Now, Obi walks calmly by our side unless given the 'free' command. He accompanies us to stores, ignoring everything and everyone around him. One of his biggest issues was reacting to other dogs on leash--no longer a problem! Recently, we visited a crowded cider mill with hundreds of kids running around. Obi stayed calmly by my feet, unaffected by the chaos. Kids asked to pet him, and I explained he was working. I can't say enough good things about Fred; he's like family now. What he did for us truly means the world to me."
