PSP always has what I need- often has great sales and the people who work there are friendly.

I'll be speaking with the franchise owner, but DO NOT USE GROOMING AT THIS STORE. We were late, and we were prepared to be rescheduled. We were "greeted" by a sullen angry woman with sloppy self-presentation who never looked at us, did not say hello, kept putting words into my mouth, and who refused service as I asked that I would come back and receive our full service than the 25 minutes (rather than the hour they had said). Instead, she threw my dog's collar into my hand, dragged my dog six feet and out of their work area. "I'm not doing this." ??????????? When I asked for the manager, she literally hurried through the store to confer with Jodi, their manager. That was a bad sign-- Jodi appeared to believe her side completely. Made it hard to approach him. Jodi was hostile to me from the start. I offered to clean up after my dog when he piddled (he never does that unless he feels threatened), but instead of letting me, he angrily did it, insisting that he was not hostile and that his employee was intelligent, which never was the issue. The issue was poor treatment. The issue was that she wasn't letting me opt for another time. But I never got to tell Jodi the problem. Not only did he also smirk at me-- always rude from a manager, he called me insane and threw me out of the store, not even giving me an opportunity to share my concerns. He said he knew them. He did not. He said he hadn't talked with his employee, when I timed them talking for three minutes as I gathered my dog-- You see, the employee had let him without his collar out of the grooming area as she was running for her manager. He lied about that. i waited for him to ask me somewhere private, but instead he was mocking and judgmental without a shred of interest past the minutes he spent clearing the pee. Note, there was no one else at the store. Crickets. He had plenty of time. He just didn't feel like it. it was easier to prejudge me and just get into the spirit of his employee's hostility. "Store 65l" he yelled at me four times-- "Have a good day!" The store is empty because of this behavior. I won't be patronIzing Pets Supply Plus any more. This was our first grooming -- but I have been a customer since it opened. No more. Jodi is what I call a total asshole with a chip on his shoulder about customers who have trouble with his maladjusted employee. He managed me terribly, dishonestly and openly false and hostile. My dog was treated poorly. I'm so angry about that. And the worker? Not competent, unkind, smirking, and mean-spirited. We are not rich jerks. I'm not a Karen. We had apologized for our lateness and we were willing to reschedule rather than received rushed service. But we were cut off at nearly every sentence by emoyyee and manager from the moment we arrived-- thank heavens I didn't leave my dog in her care. Her peer did apologize to me, Because she saw how rudely we were being treated. Do they groom well? We have no idea. But if your dog isn't safe from the groomer's mood, I would not leave her there. If the manager is not open to the customer experience and instead takes their employee's pov as all he needs: well, he needs to be fired. In fact, he laughed, "yeah, let the owner fire me, see how &$@%# 5" this place is". Good business? I do not think so. Thst is my only regret in my behavior: I left, calling back that he was a poor manager. He was. I womild have preferred to keep my cool all the way through. A horrible experience. Hostile people need to get help, not use tools on animals. Hostile managers need retraining, if they play games with customers. Jodi teased out anything he could read as hostile in my even tone. He interrupted me each time I spoke. He refused a private place to talk. (He had us talk in from of the cashier). He referred to his two social worker daughters as his authority for identifying poor behavior from his employee. He claimed--I did not-- I called the groomer stupid, which never happened. He called me insane. It was insane. He was hostile and a brick wall. The nice cashier (whom I have seen and enjoyed before) tried to be kinder, asked me about my dog, tried to clean up the mess she witnessed. I think she was barrassed, because she saw that I was getting ridiculed. That cannot be comfortable for a good person. Rather than toss out good clients, Store 65 needs to get rid of its jerks. I hope they will read this and contact me for follow-up. I'll be in touch with them, too. Do I want their jobs? No! But if they cannot deal evenly with an adverse circumstance like a customer being late and being WILLING to reschedule, instead acting passive aggressively-- then that's a low bar. They need a chill pill and deep retraining, especially with people with autism. Or they need to be let go. I plan to ask to the sum total of an apology. Again-- avoid this store. I'll pray for their healing, but don't engage there. You won't be respected. read more

Positives: helpful staff, kind and competent groomers, I can recycle dog food bags here. These are important to me and the only reason I did not rate a 1. Negative: I purchased 12 bags of Fromm dog food and saved the Proofs of Purchase so that I would be able to get a free bag as advertised on the display. When I took the proofs into the store I learned that I had to register online for the Rewards program. I am not a fan of online loyalty programs. The cashier said that he would ask the manager if there was a way to register the proofs online. He returned and said that maybe I should go to a different PSP that might accept the proofs of purchase. I am very disappointed and will not be buying any more dog food here. Locally based pet chain, Pet Supplies Plus, offered our pups the best Santa experience we've ever had last month AND it benefitted the local Huron Valley Humane Society! It was run so smoothly and everyone was so patient with my rowdy pup Oliver who gets reallllll worked up when he sees other dogs. We got the best photo of the two of the dogs that now lives on our fridge and a little goodie bag full of toys and treats to boot! Outside of the Santa experience I do like this shop. It's not HUGE but it's conveniently located next to Busch's so I can grab pup supplies while getting groceries. Our dogs are on a prescription food that we have to order online via a pharmacy so mostly we just pop in here for toys, grooming stuff, etc when I'm in the area. Not the flashiest of shops but they have everything you need. It's great that they're based here in SE Michigan as well! read more

This is a very helpful, friendly store with competent and pleasant staff. They are locally owned and very responsive to the community. I was out running errands and ended up in the parking lot here kinda by mistake. But as soon as I saw Pet Supplies Plus, an idea clicked in my head. I needed something for my cat, whose appetite was poor because he was fighting an awful hairball. How about some tasty canned food? We usually feed our cats homemade raw food, but I needed something that was the kitty cat version of junk food. I found some Little Friskies canned food that is an indoor formula. It's lower in calories, which we don't require, but it has hairball control built right in. That exactly what we *do* need. Bingo! I also had been wishing that morning if Greenies (tartar control treats) came in a hairball formula. Guess what -- it does! Grabbed a couple packets of those, too. So the canned food did the trick. I did not have to force feed the big guy. He is back to eating his regular fare on his own. read more

My review is mostly about grooming but I like the rest of the store as well! By chance I took my dog here for grooming - the place I had planned to take him wasn't accepting new clients. I booked an appointment online (it was easy) and had zero expectations. I dropped my dog off with Marcus and asked for a standard bichon cut. When I came to pick up my dog he looked AMAZING, he was incredibly happy, and we had a new bestie groomer :). My dog now has a monthly grooming appointment with Marcus...I've brought him in for a wash in between full grooming as well. Marcus really is accommodating and great at working with dogs! I've been going to this store for years now. They have great sales and everything I need for my large dog. They are very knowledgeable about the foods offered which I have found extremely helpful. Further, because I have some medical issues, they always put the heavy items in my cart for me and load them into my car. I walked in with a return and was asked to leave my merchandise at the counter while I looked for an item for my dog in a larger size -- ok..no problem. There was nothing larger, so I decided to look for some dog food. I turned around and the store attendant that asked me to leave my package at the door was watching me closely as if I was trying to take something. I'm a regular customer here because they often run good specials on the only cat food that doesn't upset my cat's stomach (Purina ProPlan). The store is pleasant and clean -- no off odors. The staff is friendly and helpful. They have a really good customer loyalty plan. They send limited-time coupons worth $5 off if you spend $30. (Good for stocking up on things you would eventually get anyway.) They also email you when the things you buy go on special. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is because they are often low on stock or even out of the things I regularly buy. But that might be because I buy when things are on special and come by in the evening. Usually they eventually have what I need (still on special) and I'm there shopping at Busch's anyway. When I told them I usually buy them bulk, the manager came out yelling at me. He used tons of profanity and called me names. His name is Josh K. The staff here is extremely helpful when it comes to recommending a food that you may want to try for your dog or cat. They are the ones that are talking to other customers about their experience and I felt very comfortable taking their advice. Also, i Love that they carry the "Three Dog Bakery" brand. This review is about the aquatics department. Amanda, who runs it, cares a lot about fish and aquatic life and it shows. She keeps the tanks in her department cleaner than any of the other local stores that sell fish, including the ones dedicated to keeping fish! Everything I've bought from here was as healthy as possible (keep in mind they don't quarantine so it is a must buying from here, basically just a middleman) I've even see her do water changes on the betta cups (which are also 2x the size of petcos) And also they've worked with me to order things. I definitely recommend getting fish here if you don't know a lot about fishkeeping, or if you want some common fish/ plants or equipment but don't want to go to a more specialty (aka expensive) store. read more
