The staff is really helpful. I've often had questions and they seem to know all their products pretty good. Pet cages are always kept clean too. There is a "manager" at the Carrollton GA on park street location that goes by the name "Nick". White, female, short brown hair, usually wearing a hat. She is RUDE!! Every time there is any issue that the sweet girl at the register is having Nick comes over already irritated and acting annoyed she was even called to do her job. she is vocal about this inconveniencing her and her body language and face shows that she should not be in a leadership role. I understand everyone has a bad day once in a while but this is EVERYTIME. I feel bad for the employees more than anything I would never stay at a job where I was spoken to like that just because I needed help. The groomers in the back are amazing! I have an annoying Chihuahua that will not let me cut his nails and they did it for me with no issues! They used a drill like object instead of the clippers, and it didn't scare my dog! They were very sweet, and I made sure to leave a tip! read more

This was once a well-run store. Recently, the women managers who were here have been absent, and the place has been turned over to teenagers. Tonight we arrived 20 minutes before closing on a Sunday. My first impression was of two girl employees arguing about when they could go ahead and lock the door. They were already sweeping the aisles. My husband spoke to another employee and she never acknowledged him. That's how to make a customer feel welcome! The whole time we were there, the employees were shouting to each other, loudly and often. After gathering $450 worth of merchandise and heading to checkout, the cashier said, "Well, we are closed, but I'll ring you up anyway." Gee thanks. No offer to help us with our three full buggies. If we had another pet store in town, I'd be going there. Please bring back the real, adult managers and fire the kid who now seems to be "in charge". read more

So I bought a bag of $15 bird seed on May 11th on May 14th I opened the bag in the whole bag was moldy... All I was asking for was a new bag of bird seeds and all I had was a picture of a receipt that I scanned into one of my receipt apps.. it clearly showed that the date and how much I paid for this bag of birds and I was still denied a refund or even a new bag of birdseed.. worst customer service ever . When I went to the store they said their general manager had just quit so there was no manager for me to even talk to. . I was also told there was no corporate number to call.. I was given a number for a Mark who I will be calling.. I left my moldy bag of birdseed right there at register !!! read more

Rude teenage boys, talking blatantly on their phones - 3 of them! - while one girl took care of customer questions and selling at the register for at least 30 min. As guests lined up, she opened the door of the small offic they were in and calmly asked if they could come out to assist. NONE replied or moved. They stared/scowled at her and closed the door. She was overwhelmed with customers and they stayed closed up in the office. **Outrageous behavior, TOTALLY unprofessional atmosphere.** I see no way to contact the Manager, Mark Martin, which that is unprofessional in itself. read more

How can they say they always have Crickets in stock. This is the 3rd time I have been in the store and there were no crickets. I went in today and the girl who rung me up told me they was out of crickets until Tuesday. I asked her how can you be out and it's only Thursday, if your shipment comes in on Tuesdays. She only replied that well we are the only pet store in Carrollton. I asked her what about their guarantee of crickets always being in stock. Her reply was it wasnt her problem. They had DEAD Beta fish on display. Not one, but several...at least four or five. The containers had plastic lids on them, so I guessing they were oxygen deprived. One had been dead so long it was growing some kind of slime on its body. These were right in front of the cash registers in full view of employees and customers. I told the manager (or at least the person who they called out of the office to do my return)..and she said they would check on them. Hmmm...a little late for that, don't ya think? read more

Do not ever ever take your dog here to be groomed. They are lazy groomers and just want the quick, easy fix!! They will shave them rather than have to mess with them And still charge you a crap load of money!!! Save your money and you won't have to be disappointed. I am actually taking the time to write a review because of the IMPROVEMENT I have noticed in the store the last few times I have been in there. I have always had a problem with stock/inventory at PS+ on the very common dog food I buy (sayin frack well before COVID), and then they discontinued a running coupon on the Kroger receipt, so I took my business elsewhere (not worth multiple trips to the store for dog food I can buy at Walmart, especially without a discount). However, I recently started going back and the inventory has been great (even bags left after I bought mine lol). Also, myself and a friend have had issues with the dog grooming business in the past (the person who ran it, professionalism, service, quality, etc), but I was recently approached by the NEW groomers they have brought in while I was shopping in the store. Great that they have new groomers, and that they are customer service and care enough to come talk to the customer and when I brought up issues in the past, she nicely explained that is why they were trying to set a better standard and get the word out. We always shop here for our pups. It's the only place that sells one of our pups canned food (other than online) and at a better price. We also buy their toys and treats as they rotate on sale. We have 2 Dane puppies and a little mixed rescue so we are always in need of both! We have one other place we also go for the Danes food, but everything else is here. read more

the groomer is HORRIBLE. she works sporadic hours and is difficult to make an appointment. she is rude and hostile. the only cut she seems to know is shave them down. i will NEVER use her again. the store employees are nice and helpful but because of the groomer i will never step foot in the store again. i will tell every person i know not to go there as well read more

Horrible Customer Service. I spent 139.01 on flea treatments. I arrived home to use and discovered one of the boxes empty except for directions. I called immediately and was told to bring it back. However, the manager said that she was instructed by the owner not to replace it. She was told to give me the number to Bayer and that the company would have to deal with it. Bayer is sending replacements in 2-3 weeks. I need it today. This store just lost a loyal customer over 35.98. I will never shop here again and will tell everyone I know not to shop there. read more

Turned in my PET PERKS card and don't shop there any more! Poor customer service and a NO returns/NO store credit policy on sale items. I question a business that would let a $22 store credit run off a customer who spends approximately $150/month in the store and who had never, ever returned anything but this one time. I Purchased a product on sale and it was not the same product as in the picture. The cashier even agreed that the product was not the one shown in the photo on the package. I promptly returned the item to the store with the receipt. In processing my refund, the cashier was processing it for MORE than what I paid for it. I knew this was not right, and advised them that this was too much credit -- I did not pay that much for it. Next, the other cashier took over the told me that I could have zero credit because it was on sale -- not even a store credit (which would have been fine). So, I threw my money away on something I could not take back the next day for even for a store credit. They do have a good selection of products, but nothing I can't buy somewhere else. When they treat a customer like I was treated, it is worth going out of my way to spend the $150 a month I typically spent there somewhere else. Anywhere else... Apparently it wasn't even worth mentioning to the owner. This posting will probably be collapsed and, if so, at least it will show that they are ashamed for potential customers to read it. Maybe even a little guilty for how badly they managed to treat a customer who was in the store at least once a week buying stuff. read more
