This store truly is hit or miss, I tend to frequent this store because of location convenience. I've had experiences where everything is stocked well, clean and employees being great and other times where they look like they were robbed of everything and the employees being extremely rude. My most recent visit they didn't have 2 wet cat food items I was looking for so I walked in and walked out. It has become kind of a frequent occurrence in this regard and I often try to check what's in stock at this location before wasting my time going in but it is always wrong OR the item just isn't stocked at the store despite having it. Will be taking my business a bit further to Petco instead going forward. read more

I've been to a few Pet Supplies Plus stores in my day and this is one of the bigger, more organized ones in the area. I usually go to the one out by me in Rochester Hills, but this one seems way nicer! Walking in, there's tons of stuff to choose from. They have a super nice dog wash area and I think a grooming zone too. The selection here's top notch, and way better than the one I go to. The pet food selections great, but I didn't see the cat food that I needed, but they do have an awesome selection of litter boxes and litter options to choose from. Tons of toys at reasonable prices, crates for dogs, reptiles, fish, ferrets for sale, you name it. The staff here's friendly and helpful too. I was shopping in the cat toy area and a lady asked if I needed help or had any questions. She also rang me up when I checked out too! Overall a great store and impressive with selection and quality. I discovered Pet Supplies Plus a few summers ago when working in the area. I have always found the store to be clean and well organized. The staff members are knowledgeable and friendly. Pet food prices are similar to elsewhere, and when they are on sale, I always get a deal. Pets on a leash are welcome here. Also, they have a pet washing station inside the store. ALEXIS WAS ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE. Extremely bad attitude right from the start. After asking how Arloe a 5 month puppy does with nail trims and completely ignoring my statement he does better with two people trimming his nails and does a lot better with positive attention during a nail trims. He's had multiple nail trims and he has never been an issue. Instead she tied him up 3 different ways. Started yelling at him repeatedly as he jerked away by her YANKING on his legs. Another groomer then came over and just snatched his collar and locked his head up to a pole. Alexis then continued yelling at Arloe. I IMMEDIATELY demanded they give me my dog back. He has two nails that were left bleeding by Alexis's aggressiveness. I spoke with the manager on duty and he completely ignored the situation, didn't acknowledge anything, and then proceeded to not even ask who groomed him so he clearly was not going to do anything about the situation. I will not be back, and will not be spending any more money at Pet Supplies plus. read more

I went to Pet Supplies Plus to get some toys for my cat and the bag of dry food I had ordered. I had some coupons which they honored. The assistant found the 16 lbs bag of ordered food and got a cart for it. They do have a really nice selection of toys for cats. The service there I find always friendly. read more

I would not recommend the grooming to anyone. The staff was in an argument whiten I took my Dog in this morning for a scheduled appointment. I was on time, seeing me the argument broke off. But the rudeness to me did not stop! Smiling I said this is Whiskey, he has a appointment for haircut. Now I was expected to read mind's, and know their rules! He needs to have his shot records. Groomer: Alexis is the absolute worst. I took my fur babies in today for their first "feet, face, and fanny" service. Alexis cut my puppy's paw, and her first instinct was to lie about it. She didn't apologize, just lied and continued to lie. Her coworkers chimed in with her ridiculous lie, and when she saw I wasn't buying it, she went to get a manager. The manager was polite, and I appreciate that, but the horrible grooming crew is another story. Why would you cut my innocent puppy's paw? Don't take your fur babies there to be groomed! They don't deserve to be hurt! For the grooming crew: Do the job you are paid for correctly without hurting someone's fur baby, and DON'T LIE!!!!!!!!!!!! read more

At this location everyone is always above and beyond helpful! Weather it's the knowledge of the item your looking at or to ask if you'd like some help getting it to your car! They always have smiles on their faces! I've been to quite a few locations lately since my cat had kittens and I use the breeze litter system, I was wanting to stock up on some pads and this location was the only one who had stock or knowledge when the stock was coming in. I think I have never had a bad experience at any Pet Supplies Plus. I love this store on the way home from work. It affords me the time to get stuff for my furry friend, a 3 year old Aussiedoodle. I get food and some clearance toys here for the dog to destroy. I get him snacks and treats here too. I have used the wash area before too and that's very convenient. This store has good people working, as do all these places. They screen people well here. Unlike the O'Reilly's down the road who must hire deadbeats off the streets. Love PSP. read more

I was forced into a situation that made me move closer to the crowded area off of M-59. I didn't know anyone and I had no idea what stores were in the neighborhood. My greatest 'find' was this pet store. If I had to move again I would still battle M-59 traffic to come back to this store. The staff and management are so polite, kind and helpful. Before curbside and delivery services were available, the manager offered to drop off food for my big guy (Forest cat) because my right foot reconstruction surgery meant no driving. What store manager would ever offer to do that on his/her way home after a long day? A return is never an argument just efficient and fair. I have never had a bad experiance with this location. They have enlarged the store a few times since I have started going there. It is nice to have a pet wash available. We buy dog food here and also use the self service wash station. You can go to some car wash places that have a dog wash station but this store has a better set up. The towels are great, the shampoo is good quality. I'd like to see more cleaning between customers, a wipe down of the basins and mop up of the floor. I always have to clean the area before use. The provided aprons all have broken straps, the provided collers all have the clip buttons broken. We'll keep returning, I hope they are able to update the older items. read more

The gentlemen on the floor, I assume stock clerks, offered assistance several times and then offered to carry out our 40 lb box of cat litter. We purchased a cat nip pillow for the cat that was up for adoption and the staff made sure he got it while we were still in the store and let us pet him. Everyone was very friendly and this was a very nice visit. The only recommendation I have to this location is that they need someone dedicated to taking care of their fish aquariums. The tanks had many dead fish in them (sad to see and I didn't buy any fish because of this). Other than this, it was a great experience and the store is nice! read more

The PSP off of Garfield in Clinton Twp is a great store to shop at. The cashiers and managers are helpful at that store location. I prefer this store location over the other locations I've shopped at such as the store (off of Gratiot Ave) in Chesterfield and the store (off of Van Dyke) in Washington where the majority of the employees there are rude. I refuse to shop at those store locations anymore. I like the sales PSP have and the coupons that they offer. read more

If you need a shocking reminder of how retail customer service should feel like, PLEASE stop by this location! These folks are beyond personable and friendly! It was my first time at this location and I only came in for an online order pick up, expecting to be in and out. You know how it is, the hustle and bustle of the holiday season...we all forget to slow down a bit. But the cheery man who grabbed my order, asked about my dogs. We chatted for a brief minute. I definitely left the store thinking, "Wow! That was a really nice conversation!" I definitely didn't expect it especially on a routine stop at a retail store, but it was a pleasant experience. We recently went to this store to look at hamsters, but saw the cutest ferret. We originally left the store and tried a few more shops looking for the perfect hamster, and ended up calling them about the ferret. We had her put on hold and went straight to pick her up. She was so well taken care of, and is super social. We were helped out with finding all the perfect needs for her in the store. I couldn't recommend this amazing store more. We received one of the best pets we've ever had, and had a lot of fun while scoping out supplies for her. We were taught new information on how to care for her that we hadn't previously known. Overall. Best experience I've ever had at a pet store. We love our new baby, and will always be returning to this location for her supplies! read more

A dog rescue is coming to my daughters school today to teach dog safety and I wanted to get some dog treats and toys to donate. I pulled up to this store at 8:30. Start looking at the clearance outside, try to walk in and make eye contact with a man at a register. He opens the door and says sUre come on in! I thank him- get $40 in dogs stuff, pay and leave. Get in the car and see the sign says 9:00 open - lol I'm dying in my car thinking how embarrassing that I thought I was a few mins early when in reality I was a whole 30 minutes early. This kind gentleman allowed me to walk through his store while they were still setting up for the day!
