They limit dog washes to 20 minutes now. I asked the cashier if they were strict about that rule and she said yes and she washes both of her large dogs in under 20 minutes. She didn't mention the 20 minute rule until after I paid so she tried to sell me on 2 washes so I just asked for a refund. Will not be giving this store anymore business. read more

I love this store because the employees are always friendly and helpful. I always find the products I need and I think the prices are very competitive especially if you use the coupons. I also love that they work with Fort Wayne Animal Care and Control to showcase adoptable kitties through the adoption program. That's much better than selling pets from puppy/kitty mills. I was there to pick up my furbaby as I had adopted her thru the local rescue. So, to save time, I placed a curbside order for the necessities. Not only, did they assist me with my new fur baby, now named Mela, and they expressed how sweet she was, and she is. I'm new to Fort Wayne and have been to this store three times. On two occasions they had tanks full of seriously ill fish - once with Ick and once with fin rot. On my third visit (to return store brand equipment that didn't work), they had a large tank of mostly dead feeder goldfish. Have a look at the photo I took. The staff in the store couldn't have seemed more blasé about it. The best I can say about this place is that they honored their 30 day money back guarantee on the crappy equipment they sold. My husband and I were looking around the store and saw the tiny ferret for sale... The sign reads on top of that cage to have a store member with you to handle the ferrets...I waited until the employees were close and asked to see this ferret. The young black employee who's name I cannot pronounce says sure you can get him out I'm right here ( at the wall of fish) the cage was unlocked before any one reached us ..I reached in to stroke the ferrets head and the ferret BIT ME....AND when I obviously retracted my hand and stated that I'd been bit and bit hard the same employee then states oh he bites.! First I'm appalled at both of your employees lack of CARING when I got bit. Second..the employee who's name I cannot pronounce walked away when I said I'd been bit and SHOWED them the blood...I'm on a blood thinner too...and then the other employee Jenna A walked past. I showed her I' been bit and was bleeding.. she did nothing either. I WILL TAKE MY BUSINESS ELSEWHERE !!! I ONLY SPENT $139.44 THIS TIME. I WILL put this on Facebook. Your employees need greater training on keeping cages locked and True customer service in the event someone gets hurt. I believe you need different employees !!! My dog, Jackson, loves coming here. His very favorite staff person there is Jamie, who is unfailingly cheerful, warm and welcoming. Jamie always remembers Jackson, all the way back to when I first brought him in as a puppy 5 years ago; Jamie always stops to spend a few moments petting and talking to him, which Jackson loves. Jamie is very knowledgeable if you have questions, and if he doesn't automatically know, he will find answers. Prices are a little better than the nearby competitor, and when there are sales or markdown items, there can be really good deals. There seems to have been a lot of turnover in the rest of the staff, and while most are pleasant, the one constant is that Jamie has always been the bright spot of the store. It's so rare to find people who really seem to enjoy their work, plus have such a great attitude and customer service -- that's Jamie. If Jamie wasn't there, I'm afraid this would just be another so-so pet supply store. The 5 stars is really for him. We hope Jamie's there for a long time to come, and that the management and corporate realize what a treasure they have in him. read more

We absolutely LOVE shopping at the Coldwater Rd. Store in Fort Wayne. The employees are always helpful, friendly, courteous and knowledgeable. We believe the products are reasonably priced and the store is always clean and neat. Most of our pet shopping is done at this store. Occasionally, we have shopped at the Stellhorn Rd. store and that's a great store also. It's just that the Coldwater Rd. store feels like home to us. I can't think of anything our pets need that we can't purchase at Pet Supplies Plus. We also love the fact that you work with Fort Wayne Animal Care and Control to showcase the cats that are up for adoption. That is excellent and much appreciated! read more

Went into the store with my new dog a couple of weeks ago...Her owner had passed away & the daughter had her...I had just gotten her & they couldn'find her leash or collar...I instantly had 3 people helping me find all of the things I needed! Jenna & Megan have been so helpful, with answering questionsgiving me the new pet parparent discount, & steering me in the right direction! I have this love/hate relationship going on. It started when I was in my teens. She would cuddle up next to me one minute, and bite me the next. "Stupid hamster, I love you so." Growing up, my family had a dog all of about 1 week. We started receiving 'anonymous' phone calls that our 'barkety-bark' dog was going to die if we didn't get it to stop annoying the crap out of our neighbors at all hours of the day and night. So, after chewing several pieces of furniture, my folks decided to ship it off to some farm. The next year I got a hamster. I vowed that when I had a family, we would have dogs. We buried our first dog about 5 years ago. It took us about a year to decide we were ready for another, and we love our almost 4 year old puppy. We also hate him. He's trained to ring this cowbell when he needs to go O-U-T. We love that he knows how to ring it, be we hate the annoying sound of that bell when we really don't want to let him out. We love he is so energetic, but we hate how he will find a sock or small toy and make it into his own personal chew (yes, he's a lab.) The silver lining is that the quantity of cheaply made imported chinese toys in my house have gone down substantially in the past several years. And, like most dogs they are so cute, especially when they have done something bad. Furiating, isn't it? Hmmm, I guess I should write something about the pet store. They sell pet stuff here. We buy dog food, dog toys, dog leads, and dog tags here. The staff has always been friendly and helpful. If you need help carrying your 50 pound bag of dog food to your car, they will do that for you. I just bring my kids. read more
