We bring both of our dogs here to get their nails clipped. Today we decided to try their full grooming services and I have to say that I'm thoroughly impressed. Our dog, Molly, looks amazing! We usually groom her ourselves because we haven't found a groomer that can cut her hair the way we like, but they hit it right on the nail! Also, in the past, we've paid upwards of $60 for Molly to be groomed, but Wagatail is very affordable at $35 (plus tip). We'll definitely be using their full grooming services more.

Their procedure is to make your appointment for the day and keep your dog in a little cage till they get to him/her. I told her that I lived right down the street and was happy to run over when they were ready because my dog has never been in a crate in his life and just wouldn't handle it well. She was nice enough to try and help make some other suggestions but told me that her business wouldn't be a good fit for us. This is very sad for me because I like to do business as local as possible.

She was so nice on the phone and was very informative from the haircut itself to the cost and the directions to the business. Her assistant Christina is very knowledgeable and super friendly. She does have cats but it didn't seem to bother any of my dogs or bother her while she was working. She took her time and you can really tell that she enjoys working with animals. The location is ideal for Niskayuna, Schenectady, Rotterdam, Altamont and Scotia residents as it is on Dodge Street for all grooming needs including cats and dogs. My experience for the last few years grooming my Dog Sophia was postiive. Then I got another Dog,…read moreand the groomer said she would do both. Well that did NOT work out as my Yorkie the second dog is feisty. She did groom her once, and I assumed she would do it again, so when I called to make an appointment. I didn't get a call back. So I called again and said I don't know if you are ill, or on vacation but would like to set up another appointment for Sophia & Stella as I will be moving and want to get one more groom in before I move. No response again. Now my groomer ALWAYS got back to me. So, I called again and said, I assume you do not want groom Stella the Yorkie, but will you do one last groom for Sophia and you always said she was such a good dog. Again, no response. My last call to Wiggle Butts was that I thought how she handled this situation was not right. She could have called me back and stated she is too feisty but she didn't. That is NOT how a business handled PROBLEMS. I was not mad at she always did good with Sophia. I paid her prices and tipped properly. So my advice if you have a dog that is not feisty this is a good place to go, but if you have one that is, ignore this business with the plague as they do not RESPOND to your calls.

On August 12, 2026 my grand rabbit passed away. I called my daughter who's out of state at school…read moreto let her know because Miley (the rabbit) was hers. She sent me the money to get Miley cremated so she could come back home which is $60 for the cremation. My daughter sent $80 so she could get her nose print and fur clipping. I called her while there and told her that the clay paw print was a extra $30. She said okay and asked for that as well. My daughter sent me the $30 for Miley's clay paw print. I and my daughter paid a total of $110 for her rabbit to come home. We paid on card and left Miley with APF. We trusted APF to make sure our wishes were fulfilled and granted. I was called yesterday August 19, 2026 towards the end of day that Miley had been returned and was ready for pickup. I was unable to pick her up yesterday so I went and picked Miley up today. I arrived at APF around 12:10pm. I walked in and picked up her remains. I was looking thru the bag when I noticed that the paw print was not there. So I walked back in and addressed the issue. They made it feel like I was lying to them and went and checked the receipt and saw that I did pay for it but never got it. Then they said that they will talk with the people tomorrow when they come in and I told them no because it wasn't going to fix the issue it's not like they can do her paw print now as she is cremated. I told them I wanted a refund. They asked me my address and I told them that they could refund it how I paid for it. They said that they aren't able to do that which I found highly aggravating. So they are mailing me a paper check. If this happened to someone who had lost a child in birth and they never did their child's hand and foot print an the child was cremated the parents and family would be highly upset and emotional. This is the same thing. Some people view there animals as there kids and treat them as such. There are no words in which we can express our aggravation, hurt, and there is absolutely no way they can ever correct this for us either. I'm shaking writing this because this is something that we will never be able to look at again. When I look at my dog's paw prints, my cat paw print, I an my daughter will never be able to look at Miley's paw print.
