I have been a loyal customer for ten years but after my experience today? I created an order on line for delivery. I had a coupon from corporate for ten dollars off but was having problems with reading the coupon. I kept putting in the code but because of the font I was having trouble with the differences between the o, the O and the 0. I called the store and they put the manager on the phone. He told me that he couldn't /wouldnt help me. The problem is that was a lie because they keep those coupons at the register. I know because I have forgotten coupons before and they always keep them at the register. It would have been really easy for him to read the code to me so I could have entered it and received my delivery of food, treats, and fresh breathe. He actually told me to take my business elsewhere. WOW read more

Truly the best pet store our girl has made this a regular (3x week) stop for us. The staff are always helpful & kind, and it is always clean. prices ate ok (i really only shop here so can't say good or not). have twice in the past year visited another store while traveling and those experiences have only made me appreciate this store more. thanks to all that make this store great! read more

I love this pet store! Every time I come here they have exactly what I need. Their rewards program almost always gives me a discount when I buy my dog food. Our local newspaper also usually has coupons for this store which can be used on your overall purchase, not just specific items. The store is presentable, organized, and the staff is really friendly and helpful. I mainly come here for dog food and crickets, but I have also purchased dog CBD treats, fish, supplies for my fish tank, and bones for my dogs. One of the things I appreciate most about this store is that they easily take back things that do not work out or that you do not like. The staff works together, offers good customer service, and they take you to where a product you are looking for is instead of just pointing in a direction and leaving you to find it on your own. They remember me when I come in, they are friendly, and they make me feel welcome. The staff was always helpful offering discounts when asked, I had signed up for a membership which had entitled me to offers ranging from percentages to cash off. Today was a totally different experience. The young man at the cash registered lacked customer service skills and when I asked if I had any discounts available, he said no. Since I exchanged it Kris charge me the sale price that I saved on the sale for the exchange ? All the bags were the same size and the prices matched . We had to have a manager help us for our transaction and he was the most friendly and helpful person.

Yet another conure in a small a way too small cage! This time it's a green cheek conure known for being slightly quieter than the Nandy conure that was there before. No conure is quiet though. I asked to speak with a manager and explained to him that these birds are some of the most active birds out there and that it is cruel to keep it in such a small cage. He replied "we are within the Colorado legal limits ." To which I said maybe so , but that still doesn't make it right! He repeated his statement and added that they take the bird out several times a day. I said, it's still not proper housing for that bird. Don't you even care?? Didn't you see the community response last time you had a conure in here in that size of a cage? He didn't care... I walked out and will keep an eye on this to place. My family and I went in last week and one of the associates working at the front seemed nice, but kind of out of it. Once we shopped and came to the front to check out, the smell of weed hit us very hard. I had my children with me and I did not think it was appropriate. I had to repeat myself a few times as well at the register for the associate to understand me (I think his name was Tim, but I'm not sure, I was trying to get out of there because the weed smell was hitting us in the face). I finally just got checked out and left, only to realize when I checked my receipt that it was not my name on there for the points, it was someone else's. I'm not bothered too much about the points, I shop enough at PSP to get more points. I'm more concerned with the image that is being portrayed. There are high schoolers working there as well it looks like and if one of the older associates is not quite all there (may be high, I don't want to assume, but, again, I did have to repeat myself for him to understand me somewhat), that does not bode well. I love this store and this location, so I will still shop here but something's got to be done about the image. read more

The gal that seems to be the resident expert on fish Care and aquatic life helped me tremendously with the questions I had to care for fish /tank I just read acquired. She answered many questions and offered advice concerning algae growth, fish and plants to add, as well as advice for Care. My tank is now thriving and clean. read more

Love this place it's wheelchair accessible and the employees are very nice. The pets they sell seem pretty healthy but I've noticed that the fish in the tanks seem to die pretty easily although it's fairly normal for fish to die after being shipped to the store and then put in the tanks due to the fish being stressed out from shipping, otherwise the fish seem pretty healthy. The prices are reasonable and I like the discounts I get from my Preferred Pet Club card. read more

The staff here is super helpful. We always get great assistance whether we are buying a whole lot of cat and dog food or just something small. Kaitlyn and Liandra are so nice, especially to my young kids which my wife and I really appreciate. They are always glad to help whatever we need and make sure we exactly what we are looking for. This is probably my favorite pet store around the Golden. They have a large selection of quality food, toys and other supplies (especially compared to smaller pet stores) but also typically have better deals than Petco and Petsmart around the area. Their self-service dog wash is also a big plus! If you sign up for their emails, there's almost always some kind of $5 off $20 or $30 coupon. read more

Take better care of your fish. It makes me wonder if the birds and gerbils are properly cared for if the fish are so neglected that no ome noticed the dead fish. This is disgusting and it tells me that no one at this store tends to these fish if they couldn't notice a dead fish to the point where it became nothing but a SKELETON laying at the bottom of the tank. How often are these fish fed and cared for? Never going here again this is not acceptable at all. Do not buy a fish from this place. The fish at one point were feeding on the skeleton. The dead fish can toxify the water and the fish that cohabitate in the tank. read more
