I had an appointment set up to have my two little dogs groomed. I was called at the last minute to say their groomer had some sort of an issue and wouldn't be available. They told me they would call if there was a cancellation. They finally called after weeks of waiting. The new groomer didn't seem interested at all about my dogs. After picking up my dogs, I found the groomer never even washed or groomed their faces or trimmed their nails. I was not pleased with how they turned out. The owner did refund a portion of the bill, but I will never use their grooming services again! read more

Strange that Nancy would be willing to lose a long time customer over a misguided return policy. With so many choices for pet supplies, loss of customers adds up to a small high priced store. Bye-bye This review is changed to 4 stars: the store owner offered to make this issue right. A company can be fairly judged by how they respond when things don't go perfectly, and in this case Nancy did fine. read more

Buster's is a great store. Smiling faces welcoming each furry friend that enters, happy to answer questions from the humans that good the other end of the leash... prices are a touch high for some items (then again you ARE in an area where this shop is unique... the price of living in the hills) but they have two bathing steals to wash your pooch, two drying stations, brushes, lather mitts, and leads that latch to the tub in case your dog decides bath time is taking too long & they want to turn around to leave. The conditioner wasn't working when we went but at least our newest family addition looked & felt a heck of a lot better. Not a bad outing for socialization either read more

Cute store with a great setup. A little too expensive, though, and, while I love dogs, not a fan of dogs off-leash running around when my own dog is still in training but on the leash and under control. But I do like the self-serve dog wash a lot, and the staff were very nice. read more

The staff is always incredibly helpful and kind. We have a Great Pyrenees and a pyr/border collie mix. Katie has been our groomer and she is absolutely phenomenal. My pups come out looking amazing. She's kind enough to deal w my mix who is an absolute brat and HATES the blow dryer. I'm so glad we found someone close by. read more

Went in for a quick nail trim for my dog. They took so little off I'd have to come back every three days at that rate. I mentioned the almost-non-trim when I was was presented with the bill, but my comment was not even acknowledged. Plus they don't take American Express. Lame. The cashier apologized for not taking American Express, but not for charging me for a waste of time nail trim. read more

The front staff has always been helpful and knowledgeable which is why I am so surprised and upset by the grooming department. I took my Australian shepherd here for a trim and literally pointed out a dog in the lobby that had the trim I was looking to get. I pick him up clipped head to toe at less than an inch. It seems like basic knowledge for a groomer to understand the risk factors associated with trimming a dog with two layered fur this short. It will take weeks to get his undercoat back and years to grow back his top coat. Until then he is at risk for sun damage, reduced temperature regulation, etc. Not to mention looking ridiculous. So frustrated by the lack of basic knowledge. read more

If I could give them a minus in stars I would. I walked into Buster's about 2 1/2 weeks ago and made an appointment to have my dog groomed. This was the earliest appointment they had. They required a $15 deposit to hold the appointment. They called yesterday because they had a cancellation and offered to move our appointment up, I said no we will keep tomorrow's appointment. When my husband showed up today, they couldn't groom my dog because one of their groomers got snowed in and couldn't make it to work. However, they were accepting other dogs for grooming while he was there. They said they called us to cancel the appointment - NOT!!! Then they didn't refund him the deposit while he was there. I called in to complain and that's when they asked if I wanted my deposit back, as if I would let them keep it!! This was the first time I used this groomer and it will be the last. read more

Great selection of natural dog food, pet supplies, and a superb do-it-yourself dog washing setup. Seriously, I loved' the dog washing setup. for a nominal price you get to wash and dry your dog there and walk away from the mess. They are very helpful too. Nice folks, good service. I wish I could give this zero stars. We brought our dog in for a scheduled grooming appointment. We showed up and they started making me wash our dog despite what I told them. Around 11:30 the groomer came in and said "oh I think you're my 11 am" so she took and only dried off my dog. We called before hand and asked if the shampoo was hypoallergenic. If it wasn't we would bring our own but was reassured it was. It was absolutely not. Charged me $30 for JUST a dry. Picked up my dog and nails were not trimmed. She was shedding like crazy, she was still dirty. Ears were dirty. NEVER will we go back to this place again the management is horrible. Stay away from this place. When we got on the phone with my aunt who scheduled, the appointment the lady who was assisting us lied to my aunt and said we stated that we were here to wash our own dog. read more

Great selection. Prices are comparable to what I was spending in Denver. The Orijen and Acana is actually more affordable here.

Love Busters! The staff is extremely helpful, friendly, and caring. A couple months back I needed to buy Doggles for my dog who developed an eye disease. I was given a ton of information on Doggles from the staff, how to fit them, etc... I bought a pair that I thought would fit. Unfortunately they did not, so I brought them back with my Dog in tow. Even though he barked through the whole thing because he is just naturally excitable, they helped me fit him properly, were great at helping keep him calm, and just sooo nice. I also like the products, food-toys-bones-accessories- that Buster's stocks. So glad that Buster's is so close to my home :) read more

Buster's has changed the translation of the word "bath" from "torture chamber" to "Doggie spa" for our 9 year old corgi. Now, he gets excited as soon as we say the word, and then pulls on his leash to get into the dog wash. As a bonus, we are able to have a professional trim and dremel his nails while we are there. The staff are great, friendly, pet loving, sincere people who always have a smile when I walk in. Since our dog has a very touchy tummy, we don't try many of the different treats, but the prices on the natural balance dog food and treats are comparable to elsewhere (especially if you figure 10% less because every 10th bag is free with the loyalty program). The assistance of the staff in figuring out a brand of food that worked was priceless. :-) Highly recommended. read more

I am a dog trainer/groomer/petsitter and own a busy dog care center. I've been to many many pet supply stores, and I have to say Buster's is just about the best. Their selection is outstanding, the staff is versed in all the products they carry, and if they don't have it, they know where to get it! I count on Buster's for all the hard-to-find items i wind up needing for the many different "problem-fur-children" I train, and when I run out of Non-soy-wheat or corn-treats, and need some in a hurry, I know where to go. Hubby needed to hit O'Reillys so I ran in to look at toys for our puppy. I ultimately decided on getting a few treats for them and when I went to pay, the kind woman behind the counter told me they were on the house. I am blown away at the level of service in that store. WOW....what a great place to bring your dog to. The variety is amazing...my dog was like a little kid in a candy store. The staff is amazing. They help you with whatever issue you have, they even carry your dog food out and are funny and friendly...it's just a great environment. But most importantly, they really know how to get your pet on a healthy diet which will keep the doctor away in the long run....seriously, go and check it out!! read more

The staff at Busters is very, very helpful and knowledgeable. They make wonderful suggestions of foods that our mom can feed us because we both suffer from IBS/colitis and sometimes we do not tolerate food and treats too well. If mom buys a bag and we just cannot keep it down, Busters always lets her exchange it. They also have great accessories for us (even though we are tiny mountain dogs) and never forget to give us a treat when we come in. read more

This is a great place, unfortunately it is very expensive. Their selection of Natural Pet Foods is unrivalled here in the foothills, and their staff is very knowledgeable about the products they sell. Their dog wash is convenient, and they now offer grooming. I would give it five stars but at $55.00 for 30 lbs of Dog Food, I just can't... what happened to the 40 lb bags? I know this is more a "manufacturing" issue, everyone seems to have increased profits by selling smaller quantities for a bigger price. read more
