The part time employees are rude and obnoxious. Talking nasty to customers and telling them if you don't like it go to pet smart. I was fortunate to be cashed out by Your very outstanding store manager. She answered all my questions and even referred me about other products that were the same product at an affordable cost to me. The manager asked one of the cashier to face off some of the aisles near the front when she didn't have a customer to wait on and the girl said that she was to busy and have some else do it for her. It's a shame that this location has gone downhill recently. They have been out of large crickets the last 3/4 times I've stopped there. It doesn't seem like they have gotten their ordering under control. The fish tanks are almost always under treatment. They do try with the reptiles but many are not in proper enclosures. The employees are very nice here for the most part but everything else needs work. I've started going to the PSP in Blasdell instead because they don't have any of these issues. read more

Made an APPOINTMENT to get my dog groomed. It normally takes 2 hours. Today it took 4.5 hours because I found out that when people "walk in" and drop off their pets, they get priority. So they were stopping my dogs grooming to groom walk ins. Then I was told for an extra $15 I could get express uninterrupted service. WHATS THE POINT OF AN APPOINTMENT?!? Not going back. So don't bother making an appointment, just walk in and drop your pet off, you'll get priority. read more

This location is new and clean. They have great staff. I needed to schedule grooming and the manager took care of it personally. Needed certain food but none was out. Staff went to the back and grabbed it for me. Really gave great customer service and the only person doing grooming did an excellent job on both of my dogs. She even gave me a coupon to help defray costs. Great store. I have switched locations because of this. read more

I really love pet supplies plus as a store , been going there for years using self washing stations , buying food , etc. well I took my mini Aussie in for the first time to get groomed by them and it will most definitely be the last. The girl that took her was definitely not experienced and completely hacked my girls groom. Typically I would be like " these things happen" but unfortunately the next day after the groom our dog was in extreme uncomfort, licking her vagina and scooting in the ground. Come to find out this groomer cut my dogs vulva 3 times so bad to the point that I had to get a cone to stop the licking, she didn't pee or poop for 3 days, didn't sleep and was in the most discomfort I've ever seen, couldn't even go up the stairs let alone take 3 steps without trying to lick herself. Had to take her to the vet and get meds and a shot. Luckily that comped the vet bill and refunded me, but honestly I don't even care about the money , no groomer should ever shake that close to a girls dog vagina. It looked like she took the razor straight to her vulva and shaved off the hair. She's still in really bad discomfort but I hope this never happens again. I'm very disappointed . Do not get groomed her, do not bother you get what you pay for and for $90 I got a fucked up haircut and a cut vulva . As a dog parent I'm so upset by seeing how uncomfortable she is so learn from my mistake go to a legit groomer . read more

Hamburg pet supplies Plus on South Park avenue have wonderful associates. They were more than willing to answer questions, they were pleasant and genuinely cared about giving me good service. I was welcomed when I came into the store which was a huge Plus. Very often the consumer is ignored when they walk in the door. The young man carried my very heavy bag of dog food to my van and he was pleasant and glad he could help. I highly recommend the South Park Hamburg location of pet supplies Plus. This review is for the dog grooming at the Hamburg Village location. We took our dog there for the first time and it will definitely be the last. She is a goldendoodle and she needed a trim and she had some matting. She has been groomed multiple times before and with some trimming and de-matting, it has always been fine. This groomer decided that "it would be better to shave her and start over" - those were her words. She did not contact me first and that is not what we asked for. She is shaved completely bald except for a small patch on top of her head. Shaved down to her skin. She looks like a pig or a hairless cat. It is awful. I couldn't even speak when they brought her out. Everyone is horrified when they see her, asking what happened to your dog! I have a sweater coming from amazon just to cover her up a little. Do Not go to this groomer!!! read more
