I took my pup Rue to them in November 2019 after I won a free grooming from an event she was a puppy and her hair was not fully grown in like it is now. We had a great experience then. So once businesses opened up from quarantine restrictions I texted them to set up an appointment. They were exceptional in their care and grooming of my Aussie. This is my first dog with a longer coat. They made suggestions and educated me on what brush is best for my dogs coat. They estimated it would take 3-4 hours and had her prefect in 2.5! Super friendly and professional staff as well as great Covid-19 safety protocols. We had an amazing experience and I highly recommend them! read more

I took my one year old puppy to try out the day care for half day. I wanted to give this place a chance due to it being nearby where I live. My puppy was not socialized properly due to the pandemic. She was shy, scared of the other dogs, and hid under the table or stayed by the caretaker the entire time according to the live cam that I watched the entire time. That's not the problem. The problem was the owner telling me how she was so well behaved with each dog there and how she never hid under the table. Those were straight lies to my face. How he picked up and returned my puppy to me was also very uncaring, like my puppy was just some random object to return to me. The whole place smelled funny and just bad. I don't recommend going here and would take my chances somewhere else. Take your dog here if you don't care about him/her. read more

Never again. I brought my Siberian husky here, and he just needed a bath. He had hip issues and I told them that he may get nippy if you are too rough, so to be sure to muzzle him when combing near that area. They called me back after dropping him off for a few hours. I come in and the man at the counter was SO rude to me, telling me the groomer who worked with him had to go to the hospital for stitches because my dog bit her. I asked if they muzzled him like I requested, and they did not, stating I "must not have told the right person". BS. I brought Jack (my dog) home, after practically dragging him out of the door with his tail between his legs. After him being home for a little bit and petting him, I found two HUGE bloody scabs under his fur (which by the way was all matted). I also see other reviews include injury. That's horrible. Don't really know why he would have any scabbing from a bath. I tell everyone I know with pets to steer clear of this establishment. Oh, and my dog smelled like a grape. I have taken my dog Starcy here for years without any issues. This time I texted to schedule an appointment on Oct 20th and received a confirmed appointment with a time by text on Oct 20 for Nov 6. I showed up for my appointment with my two dogs and after the staff went running to the back to look into it, I had to prove that I had an appointment by showing my phone. Then I was told they were going to have to book me on a different day because they didn't have me in the system. I took off from work that day for these appointments because you have to pick up dogs when they're done and I can't do that during a work day. I had to take off from work, drove all the way out there from downtown Buffalo where I live and then was told "they had to book me another day." Life isn't as easy as just "book you on another day." I am completely unsatisfied with the customer service from the staff and management, as there was a problem with them accepting the "group-on". I have witnessed several unsafe practices by the staff with the animals. When i got my dog home i noticed he had a scab on is groin. This area is still irritated years later. They tried to charge me extra for having to clean the dog cage, when the board of health dictates they must clean each cage between each use. Only reason it's getting 2 stars is because at first we had a good experience and then we noticed a large turnover in staff and our visits went downhill. Our dog was not coming out the way she looked before. She wasn't cut to our liking anymore even though they had pictures of previous jobs as they post to Facebook without asking. Bought a Groupon before and they also would not honor it. Gave them one last shot and the very last time we had our dog there, recognized nobody on the staff that used to handle our dog and we picked up our dog and noticed she had a bloody lip. I take my tiny dog here for daycare - first, it's the only daycare I could find in the area that only accepts small dogs. My dog weighs 9 pounds and while she holds her own with the big dogs, accidents happen with big dogs, no matter how well intentioned they are, and I feel comfortable leaving her around fur babies her own size. Speaking of comfort, the webcam. I love being able to see what she's up to via the webcam while I'm at work. I probably sound like a crazy helicopter dog-parent, but I'm ok with that and here's why: our dog came from an abusive, neglectful hoarding situation. It took us months to get her to trust us, more months to get her to trust our friends and family, and a year and a half in, we're just starting to get her to warm up to people she doesn't know. I was terrified to take her to daycare at first, because we didn't want to lose the year and a half of work that we put in to making our dog happy, healthy and not neurotic because a daycare employee treated her improperly. So for the first few visits, you better bet I checked in every half hour to make sure she seemed OK. She's been through enough. Not only do I have the webcam to check that she's being treated well, I have her reactions to gauge her experience, too. She can't tell me if it went well or poorly at daycare, but she gets SO EXCITED the minute she realizes where we're going, and wags her tail and cries when we get in the parking lot because she's so excited to get out of the car. Clearly, they're treating her well. Let's also talk about convenience - I drop her off in the morning, ask for her nails to be trimmed or her teeth to be cleaned (because they're also a groomer), and by the time I come to pick her up, she's all trimmed and cleaned and tired. It's perfect. The prices are a little steeper than a pet store groomer, but they also got her nails much shorter - without cutting the quick - and the convenience of not having to make multiple trips to multiple places is worth its weight in gold. If I had time to run around town, I probably wouldn't need to take my dog to dog daycare. This is a long review, but if you also have a strange, tiny and broken but loveable rescue dog who you've JUST about gotten around to normal, hopefully it will be a helpful review. read more

Never have I ever been so insulted by someone who doesn't even know me or my wife. I am astounded how this establishment stays open with the despicable way their owner, LeeAnne, communicate to potential clients. My wife and I have two dogs, they are apart of our family and sleep at the foot of our son's bed; we love them and they have a wonderful life and they recently had puppies. A wonderful family has adopted one of them and wanted to start a relationship with this establishment. LeeAnne made the woman cry to the point that another grooming establishment called us to inform us that she was in tears with how much she was berated by her for purchasing a "puppy mill dog" from "backyard breeders". This is insulting not only to the woman but to our family as we take great pride in our dogs and their puppies and make sure that they live the highest quality lives with families we still communicate with on a daily basis. My wife found this to be the height of insulting and called to inquire as to why this person would say such rude and hurtful things about a complete stranger; well at least this woman is consistent, she then proceeded to berate my wife saying that the woman was lying and that because our male poodle, Norm, is not a rescue dog because he was intact. Ladies and Gentleman, I am a man of principles and a Veteran who fully understands the quality of life necessary for humans and animals to live fulfilling and happy lives. If anyone would like testimonies from the previous litters owners I would be happy to provide them but please to not give this establishment any of your money or time because we can direct you to an establishment which is worth the hard earned dollars that you invest into your four legged family members....Oh My Dog is a poor establishment based on the type of personnel it employed and continues to employ even after reviews like this. read more

I started out trusting this business and was taking my 4lb dog there for his grooming. On my last visit I was not happy and my dog was injured. When I complained to the owner she would not hear of her business being responsible in any way and refused to even refund my money. They are one of the most expensive groomers around and I wouldnt take a stuffed dog to them to groom let alone a much loved pet. I would not recommend them for a few different reasons price, and especially for how rudely I was treated by one of the owners. I have been a long standing customer of OMD utilizing their services for 2 dogs, and recently bought a Group-on to use at the next visit. Although there have been several staffing changes at OMD over the last several weeks - including groomers that I specifically used - I wanted to continue my support of the local business. On Thursday, June 25th I scheduled a grooming appointment for my dog, Sadie. At the time, the receptionist did not ask if I would be using a group on, and I didn't mention it. When I brought my dog in today for her appointment I was greeted by the manager who said "you're early, you're groomer isn't ready" - the appointment was at 10:30am and I arrived at a little after 10:00am. Not the friendliest welcome. I proceeded to give her my Groupon and at that time she advised me that she would not honor it for today, as the "group on groomers" weren't there. I told her that no one asked me at the time of scheduling about the group on, and since we were already there - and I was a long time, repeat customer - could she honor it. She said no, but that I could pay the full price for today and use it at another appointment. I told her that her reasoning made no sense, why would I pay full fee when I already paid for the service via group on? She again talked about the "Group on groomers" who it turns out are novice groomers getting practicing on dogs since the Groupon was purchased at the lower price! I asked her if she was really going to lose out on business for $12 (Groupon was $20 and full price is $32), and offend a repeat customer who has 2 dogs groomed there - one being a large breed thus more expensive - and she actually said yes! I commented on both her lack of savvy business skills and lack of customer service and told her that I would never return nor recommend. The owner of OMD needs to wake up and take a good look at her staff, perhaps some management training is in order. I urge anyone to re-think taking their dog to this place. I am going to use Lauren's Lavish Pooches going forward! Update on this review: the owner called me but instead of rectifying the situation or recognizing that her "manager" may have been able to handle it better she told me that groupon services are performed by "bathers" not actual groomers and then told me that groomers can charge up to $40 an hour - come on, does anyone believe that? When it was obvious that the apple (manager) does not fall from the tree(owner) I hung up on her. She then called me back and told me that I was "nasty." I am blown away, I can't imagine this business will be around much longer. Strongly urge others to get recommendations and read reviews!! read more

I brought my dog to this establishment for his first grooming. He had originally been groomed by my roomate, who didn't do the best job. I figured once the fur grew out, it would just even put. But it didn't; still just looked patchy. Timo also desperately needed a bath. I originally went to Petsmart, but I had to wait four days. So instead, I came here. I dropped Teemo off around 1:30 and came back at 4PM to pick him up. The basic price for long hair dog was $55. I got a small package. My total was $78 after tax. It is a little pricey. They do have a kind of point system where you get $10 off after 6 points. I honestly didn't expect to be charge for a "long hair" dog, plus Teemo is a puppy. I didn't mind too much. My dog came back super soft and cute. He seemed to have had a good time as well. They do require you to have you dog spayed/neutered if you intend to be a regular. I probably will go to this place if Teemo needs a full on haircut, nail trim, the whole ordeal. For trims, I'll stick to petco or do it myself. read more

I take my white boxer here all the time for grooming and spa services. The groomers do the best job ever on his nails ..which he is not an easy client when it comes to his nails...and when he is bathed he looks beautiful and white. I just love this place...staff is awesome hours are so helpful due to work schedules... My niece and nephew love going there with their dog Ozzy, they have learned so much from staff here. We've taken one of our dogs here about 3 times. The first time the prices seemed reasonable but the staff was not great. They were not very personable and actually bordered on snobby. My husband really liked the way our dog looked and smelled so he decided to take him another time. The second time he got the groom and de shedding for $70. I thought that was a bit steep but I chalked it up to the location. We took him for the same services the others day, and suddenly it's $87 with a "suggested" tip of at least 10%. I'm sorry but we just cannot afford $95 each time. This will definitely be the last time we use Oh My Dog. And to the owner, if you can figure out who we are, feel free to refund us. You've been in business for 8 years and you are constantly trying to improve your business. Good customer service would be an excellent place to start. the only reason i gave it 1 star was there wasn't an option to give them 0 stars. i took both my dogs in sat. 12/17/16. was asked if i wanted them to have the "special" which was usually $99.00 and was $35.00 for the holidays. i agreed, the paperwk. was written up and i was told the price would be $85.04 when i picked them up in a couple of hrs. i did think that was a little high, my preferred groomer from another shop charges $35.00 each, totalling $70.00 for the 2. i should say they are large dogs and they just needed shampoos and toenails clipped. when i came to pick them up i was told it came to $180.00 and change. i obviously questioned this and was told that it was $85.04 each. i told them i would not be rebooking . i do not spend that amount on my own hair! the groomer said she was sorry about the misunderstanding and took $10.00 off. this was still an astronomical fee for their services and i will never recommend them to anyone. read more
