We started going to the Medway location then it closed so we bring our Chihuahua mix Valentino to the Milford location. We met the groomer Susan she is so great with our dog as he hates getting his nails trimmed. We use to bring him to the vet in his younger years but the last time we did that the dog came out limping. Susan is so good with animals.Today we brought him in for the Deshed package he looked great and he also had bath teeth and nails. We trust Susan she is very good with animals so is her co workers. Extremely disappointing and emotionally distressing experience at the Milford Pet Supplies Plus. I ordered a 10-gallon Zoo Med leopard gecko kit online from this store and it arrived broken. The manager refunded me and I clearly explained, in front of an employee, that I would buy the same kit elsewhere and return to purchase the gecko for my daughter's Christmas gift. That plan was acknowledged. When I returned, the same employee reported to a different manager that my tank was purchased elsewhere and was 10 gallons. Suddenly, they refused to sell me the gecko unless I bought a 20+ gallon tank from their store. This felt like forced upselling, not animal welfare. What makes this worse is the gecko has been kept in the store for at least six months in a 10-gallon enclosure. Another nearby tank of the same size had two geckos. If this setup is unacceptable for customers, why is it acceptable for the store? My daughter cried, I felt humiliated, and I wasted time and money after acting transparently and responsibly. I am a former biologist with animal training and the daughter of a zoologist. Being treated as incapable was offensive and unnecessary. This store showed more concern about selling a tank than placing an animal into a prepared, calm, loving home. Milford deserves better transparency, consistency, and professionalism read more

severely disappointed in their abilities to keep 2 ferrets for sale. they used to sell them for 250-300, 2 sables are listed for 350, sleeping in their litter box, poop in every other corner given no bedding but 1 hammock. i was told monthes ago they were made to stop selling ferrets & im not sure why that changed, they look older aswell, not sure if they were returned or have been there for a long time. if you're able to adopt i would encourage you to do so! but if any employees see this, seriously do better. there was even poop on the floor that had fallen outside the bars of the cage. one was sleeping the other was sooo friendly. ugh just please do better yourjob is at a pet store you should be able to take simple steps to house an animal properly. read more

This place has great discounts if you sign up for their free membership card. From what I saw, they have tons of supplies for dogs but unfortunately I was there for my cat. It appears that they only have one isle of cat supplies, making the selection limited. I only found one of the four things I went in for. I do not recommend this store if you're looking specifically for scratching posts, they had only one and it was tiny and cost $160. I found bigger scratching posts at Homegoods for only $40. When I initially walked in I was greeted immediately and offered to be shown to the supplies I was looking for. I allowed the man to show me despite not really needing the direction, the store isn't that large and it was well labeled. He showed me to what I was looking for but then would not leave me alone. After he lead me to the isle I said thank you and attempted to walk away and do my own thing but he followed close behind and offered his opinion on everything I was looking at despite never being asked. I'm all for friendly customer service but this was a little over the top and made me slightly uncomfortable. The woman who helped me check out was extremely nice. She helped me sign up for the membership card, it took less then a minute, and she also offered to get me a cart for the 40lb box of litter I was purchasing. Well laid out store, very clean, the staff just needs to learn when to help and when to let customers do their own thing. read more

Absolutely terrible store in every way! The staff is nit helpful as they're too busy in their cell phones. They do nit carry many lines for cat food. One aisle for cats and about six for dogs. Everything is the cheap Purina brands. The store is much smaller than most also, so aisles are over packed. They have a store in Raynham where I work that is well run, regular sales and offers so much more. Don't waste hour time in this store read more

I ALWAYS bring my dogs here for the self serve baths. Lately, every time I go, I can't bathe them because the groomer is using the tub. What's the point of having a self serve dog wash if customers can't use the tubs? They need to get a better system when it comes to the grooming section. The groomer should have their own area so that customers are not told to wait excessively. read more

I went to this store for the first time today to find out about the self service dog wash. The employees were very helpful and showed me the cleaning station. I bought the 5 wash special as suggested by the helpful girls at the register and brought my 2 labs in from the car. I normally wash my big dogs in my bathroom and it makes a huge mess and is back-breaking! I loved the big, elevated shower. The spray nozzle was very effective and they had 4 different shampoos to choose from. They even had towels to dry them and a powerful professional hair dryer. Why would I go anywhere else?!! read more

People are very nice but it is extremely difficult to get an appointment for grooming. They never ever EVER have any time available. Also there is always a line waiting to use the self wash. Super location and great idea but this store needs more groomers and more washing bays. read more

I have given this store many chances but it seems to get worse, I'm not sure if corporate is unaware of how the store is operating or if they just don't care. All the good employees have left and are replaced with kids on their phones, and when the good ones were there I'd always hear the manager degrading them behind their backs to other employees (probably why they all left, and makes for a very awkward shopping experience). I can't tell you how many times I've waited out front past 9 am while employees try and contact the manager to open. An employee told me this constantly happens and that the manager is supposed to be there for 8 am! I sure hope they do not lose pay for his irresponsibility. There is dog urine on many food bags and shelves, the dog water dish is almost always green. The tubs are always broken and they never seem to be cleaned. I miss the friendly and knowledgeable staff that were here a few months back. After waiting last week again for the manager to show up and being told by the employees outside how often this happens and how degrading he is I've given up on this store. read more
