Brought my pup here 2x. 1st time was good, no issues. The 2nd time I pup seemed unfinished, not brushed thoroughly, nails were not cut well, and my dog got an ear infection. My previous groomer of 8 years was always good, never had an ear infection. But she is in Sac, so might go back to her. I would not recommend this place. read more

Great staff! Went to have our Shiba Inu's toenails clipped. He is pretty feisty but no worries.. their staff is very capable of handling slightly aggressive babies. We've been here at least 5-10 times for grooming and self-serve dog wash. Our dog does not like bathing so if you hear loud barking that's probably us. But the staff is very patient, pleasant, and understanding. Our baby is now getting used to the dog bath!! read more

I've been a loyal customer of Pet Food Supplies in Vacaville since moving from San Francisco, but after today's experience, I can confidently say I won't be returning. On February 20, 2025, my mother purchased a 4lb bag of Open Farm dog kibble from this location, a brand we've trusted for years. The next morning, I went to feed my dog and immediately noticed the seal was already broken. Given that we've never had issues with this brand before, I double-checked with everyone in the house to make sure no one had opened it. Since no one had, I decided to play it safe and exchange the bag. I returned to the store on February 21, 2025, at 1:23 PM, with the bag, my receipt (which clearly states a 30-day return policy), and grabbed a new, properly sealed bag to make a simple exchange. That's when things took a turn. The cashier called over a manager named Rick, who, instead of handling the situation professionally, whispered with the cashier and gave me a look that made me feel like I was trying to pull a scam. When he finally addressed me, his tone was condescending and accusatory, as if I was lying about the situation. There was a line forming behind me, and rather than being discreet or professional, he made me feel embarrassed in front of other customers. He reluctantly approved the exchange, but not without making it clear that he didn't believe me and that he wasn't happy about it. No apology. No understanding. Just disdain and suspicion. Frustrated and humiliated, I sat in my car processing what had just happened and ultimately decided to go back in and address it. I asked Rick directly why I was treated that way and what exactly I would gain from trying to "scam" a $20 bag of dog food, especially for the same exact brand we always buy. Instead of taking any accountability, he doubled down, saying he would "check the cameras" and even accused me of abusing their return policy. But here's the thing, what does checking the cameras even prove? Will it show that my mother picked the bag off the shelf and purchased it? Yes. Will it confirm that I came back within 24 hours with the same bag, completely full? Yes. But will it show whether the seal was already broken at the time of purchase? No. That's impossible. So what was Rick's real intent behind checking the cameras? It wasn't to get to the truth, it was to intimidate me, make me feel like I was being "investigated," and discourage me from standing up for myself. Instead of prioritizing customer experience, he treated me like a problem, not a paying customer with a legitimate concern. Then, to top it off, he complained that now they "lost $20" because they couldn't resell the product. As if that loss was somehow my fault. And that's when I asked him directly, what exactly do you think I'm gaining here? Let's break this down: I didn't return the bag for cash. I didn't exchange it for a different brand or a larger size. I didn't even return it after a long period,I came back the very next day. So how, exactly, was I "abusing" their return policy? The only thing I got out of this was the same exact bag of food I originally purchased, just one that wasn't already open. Is that what Rick considers "scamming" the store? At that point, it became clear that this wasn't about store policy, it was about Rick making me feel small and untrustworthy. Is $20 really worth losing a lifelong customer? Because that's exactly what happened. I'll take my business elsewhere, where my integrity isn't questioned over something as simple as an exchange that was well within policy. If you shop here, I sincerely hope you don't have to deal with Rick, because based on my experience, he lacks basic customer service skills, empathy, and professionalism. And just so it's clear, I'm not letting this go. I'll be taking this as far as I can and contacting the necessary people about how I was treated. No customer should be made to feel like a scammer for simply expecting what they paid for. read more

My dog Elliott has an appointment at 11 am. We are there waiting at 10:50, yes a bit early. I have read and will abide by store policy of no shows $$ penalty and late arrivals of more than 15 minutes may not receive the service booked. DJ was the groomer my appointment was scheduled and he showed up at 11:12. Personally a business with employees who disregard my time is not one that I need to give my money to. read more

First time visit to Pet Supplies Plus. Great store with lots of stuff for your pet. They even have a baked goods area where you can buy your pup some delightful treats and they look just like cupcakes. I decided to try out their self service dog washing stations. There are two large dog and one small dog stations. They provide shampoo, towels, brushes and a dryer. I had to wait about 15 minutes and got a chance to walk around the store. The staff was friendly and helpful. I even bought a five pack of washes that came to $40. Recommend a visit here-- you and your furry friend will be pleased! Side note: Tesla Superchargers are located right across the parking lot so you can charge and visit the store at the same time-- or give your pup a quick wash. read more

I went in to buy a bath wash as a Christmas present and I was surprised how unknowable the employees were. As a consumer I would think employees were more knowledgeable and friendlier especially with the Holidays coming. Customer service could have been a little better. These are tough times a lot of pet stores to choose from. I picked up a dog toy that was in a $7.99 bin that was actually $22. Merchandising makes no sense nothing matches it was a hodgepodge of a mess. I looked at the bird aisle and said I would never buy anything for my bird here. We recently adopted a standard schnauzer and needed to get him fully groomed with sanitary and nails trimmed. It sure was hard finding a local groomer as my previous groomer had closed her books. I knew of Pet Supplies Plus from last Halloween since they were giving candy out and promoting their store prior to their grand opening so I decided to give them a try and booked an appointment for the next day through their website. They do require shot history* so make sure to bring those documents in. When we first entered the store it was really clean. There was no smell that was an anomaly for a pet store and it was pretty well stocked with tons of products. We were greeted and was pretty impressed of their double gated entry way for pets to be received from either the groomers or owners. Overall it took about an hour and a half. We didn't want to go full schnauzer cut so I requested the schnauzer face and shaved body. He came out looking fantastic! My boy looked like a hundred dollars! The groomer said he was such a good boy with the exception of the obvious (i.e. hair drying etc.) but otherwise, he was easy to groom. I really liked the self wash stations at Pet Supplies as well. Large lifted tubs are available to wash your own dogs. After having two kids my back sure does hurt a lot faster than before so I can see myself here in between grooming appointments. read more

They have a huge selection of food and treats for cats and dogs! If you're looking for a particular brand they probably have it. It's likely the largest selection of food that I've seen so far. I've purchased a couple dog treats from here. The price was fair. I was browsing disposable wraps for dogs and found the price to be comparable to Petco. It's great that Vacaville now has a pet store with a pet wash station (like Pet Food Express does) and they also have grooming services! I haven't personally tried either. The location of the pet wash is in the way back. That's good planning in case a dog escapes the bath. I think they have a gate system to help as well. When I went recently in a weekend it did have a strong "pet store" smell as soon as we walked in. Likely because it is a pet store and probably they have more people washing dogs on the weekends. Self-Service Station Review* I brought our doggy here to avoid the mess at home, and let me tell you, I'll probably never bathe her at home again. There are 3 stations, 2 for big dogs and 1 for small dogs. I've been there twice, and there's been a 10-minute wait as they make you wait while it's disinfecting with a solution in between dogs. The pricing is about 12 dollars a wash, but I opted for the stamp card for better value. Collars, several brushes, shampoo - 4 kinds, and towels, are all provided. Our Malinois pup has a 5th birthday coming up, so we wanted to buy her a birthday treat. We have 2 older Labs and couldn't leave them out of the celebration. Since this store was hosting an adoption event, we felt it was a good way to support both the store and Solano County Sheriff. We're from Vallejo and had never been to a Pet Supplies Plus. Well, we were impressed by the variety of pet food, clean, wide aisles, availability of grooming areas, and pets for sale. A friend of ours runs an animal sanctuary for elderly dogs, cats, and horses. Most of them have been abused and discarded like trash once they were no longer useful. The owner of this store generously donates food to the sanctuary - that's another reason we enjoy supporting Pet Supplies. Pet supply plus not only carries an amazing variety of dog foods, including many raw options, but they carry a huge variety of cat food as well. I absolutely love their bulk bird food items as birds do well with variety. Toys and a variety of two items that are healthy for your dog like those made by red barn are an important part of happy dogs living their best life. These guys carry a huge variety in a clean, well-stocked environment. Speaking of clean, the large easily accessible bathrooms and completely handicap accessible store is truly wonderful. I also love the dog wash area, for many of my clients, the ability to walk in with their dirty dog and use somebody the stores bathtub, shampoos, conditioners,and dryer is wonderful. They provide the towels, so you don't even have to take wet towels home! Lastly, as a dog trainer who specialize in behavior, it is wonderful to see so many over-the-counter options. The normal place where I get pet food was out of stock so I stumbled upon this place. I called to ask if they had the pet food that I was looking for in stock and the representative placed me on a very brief hold and came back and told me that they had what I was looking for. I arrived shortly after and they offered to carry the pet food which was a added bonus. Normally I could find at least one thing that's wrong or dysfunctional in a business but I couldn't find any if I tried with this business. I do really enjoy this store, it's as clean as a pet store can be, the staff is friendly and the services are helpful. Brought my senior dog (border collie) in for the first time months ago for a full service groom and she came out looking like a star. But last time I came in, I scheduled a bath/brush with the senior pet package and teeth cleaning. I asked for her paws to be trimmed as well. I didn't ask for a full cut or trim, just wanted her little mops cleaned up. When I picked her up, she had been trimmed everywhere, around her tummy and up her legs. Her leg whispies are gone now :( I wasn't charged for a trim or anything, but I had a specific request and now she looks different than I had planned on. She doesn't look bad and the quality isn't poor but it's just not what I wanted. Staff was friendly, and she's still cute but next time I come in I won't be scheduling with the same person. read more

Took my dog in a few months ago and Traca did great. I got upgrades and she asked which bandana and scent I wanted. She was very attentive and even told me how my dog did after. Traca was booked and I booked with Becky since she was the only one available. Becky was not attentive. I wanted to talk to her after and she wouldn't see me. I waited until I absolutely needed to go. I think the haircut was horrible. His hair is frizzy and uneven. Last time, he was so soft. It doesn't make sense since I got the same upgrades. He doesn't even smell like he got a spray like last time. Also, my dog is upset and in pain! When we pick him up, he CRIES. This was this morning and he is still sensitive to touch. He has not played all day and refuses to eat. He's never acted this way before after grooming, vet visits, etc. I don't know what she did to him, but her not even there to give me my dog afterwards leaves me to believe she did not treat my dog kindly.
