    I've been a loyal customer of Pet Food Supplies in Vacaville since moving from San Francisco, but after today's experience, I can confidently say I won't be returning. On February 20, 2025, my mother purchased a 4lb bag of Open Farm dog kibble from this location, a brand we've trusted for years. The next morning, I went to feed my dog and immediately noticed the seal was already broken. Given that we've never had issues with this brand before, I double-checked with everyone in the house to make sure no one had opened it. Since no one had, I decided to play it safe and exchange the bag. I returned to the store on February 21, 2025, at 1:23 PM, with the bag, my receipt (which clearly states a 30-day return policy), and grabbed a new, properly sealed bag to make a simple exchange. That's when things took a turn. The cashier called over a manager named Rick, who, instead of handling the situation professionally, whispered with the cashier and gave me a look that made me feel like I was trying to pull a scam. When he finally addressed me, his tone was condescending and accusatory, as if I was lying about the situation. There was a line forming behind me, and rather than being discreet or professional, he made me feel embarrassed in front of other customers. He reluctantly approved the exchange, but not without making it clear that he didn't believe me and that he wasn't happy about it. No apology. No understanding. Just disdain and suspicion. Frustrated and humiliated, I sat in my car processing what had just happened and ultimately decided to go back in and address it. I asked Rick directly why I was treated that way and what exactly I would gain from trying to "scam" a $20 bag of dog food, especially for the same exact brand we always buy. Instead of taking any accountability, he doubled down, saying he would "check the cameras" and even accused me of abusing their return policy. But here's the thing, what does checking the cameras even prove? Will it show that my mother picked the bag off the shelf and purchased it? Yes. Will it confirm that I came back within 24 hours with the same bag, completely full? Yes. But will it show whether the seal was already broken at the time of purchase? No. That's impossible. So what was Rick's real intent behind checking the cameras? It wasn't to get to the truth, it was to intimidate me, make me feel like I was being "investigated," and discourage me from standing up for myself. Instead of prioritizing customer experience, he treated me like a problem, not a paying customer with a legitimate concern. Then, to top it off, he complained that now they "lost $20" because they couldn't resell the product. As if that loss was somehow my fault. And that's when I asked him directly, what exactly do you think I'm gaining here? Let's break this down: I didn't return the bag for cash. I didn't exchange it for a different brand or a larger size. I didn't even return it after a long period,I came back the very next day. So how, exactly, was I "abusing" their return policy? The only thing I got out of this was the same exact bag of food I originally purchased, just one that wasn't already open. Is that what Rick considers "scamming" the store? At that point, it became clear that this wasn't about store policy, it was about Rick making me feel small and untrustworthy. Is $20 really worth losing a lifelong customer? Because that's exactly what happened. I'll take my business elsewhere, where my integrity isn't questioned over something as simple as an exchange that was well within policy. If you shop here, I sincerely hope you don't have to deal with Rick, because based on my experience, he lacks basic customer service skills, empathy, and professionalism. And just so it's clear, I'm not letting this go. I'll be taking this as far as I can and contacting the necessary people about how I was treated. No customer should be made to feel like a scammer for simply expecting what they paid for.

    First time visit to Pet Supplies Plus. Great store with lots of stuff for your pet. They even have a baked goods area where you can buy your pup some delightful treats and they look just like cupcakes. I decided to try out their self service dog washing stations. There are two large dog and one small dog stations. They provide shampoo, towels, brushes and a dryer. I had to wait about 15 minutes and got a chance to walk around the store. The staff was friendly and helpful. I even bought a five pack of washes that came to $40. Recommend a visit here-- you and your furry friend will be pleased! Side note: Tesla Superchargers are located right across the parking lot so you can charge and visit the store at the same time-- or give your pup a quick wash.

    If I could leave 10 stars for Alina I would. She grooms our Bernese Mountain Dog, and she always takes her time, is so sweet and gentle with her, and somehow easily tackles the tasks she won't let us do at home (nails, ear cleaning, grooming). We also love this store in general, as they have all the products we love at great prices and are all so friendly.

    Self-Service Station Review* I brought our doggy here to avoid the mess at home, and let me tell you, I'll probably never bathe her at home again. There are 3 stations, 2 for big dogs and 1 for small dogs. I've been there twice, and there's been a 10-minute wait as they make you wait while it's disinfecting with a solution in between dogs. The pricing is about 12 dollars a wash, but I opted for the stamp card for better value. Collars, several brushes, shampoo - 4 kinds, and towels, are all provided. Also, the customer service is excellent! The gentleman providing service and washing the stations is super willing and helpful.

    This is a cool store that just opened right here in Vacaville. It's nice and clean as well. Everything seems like it's an OK price so I will be checking his place out again.

    Great store. They carry my dog's food, which can be hard to find. The staff was super friendly and helpful. I didn't get a chance to try the dog washing station yet, but what a GREAT feature. I really like the fact this store is LOCALLY owned. If you're an animal person, this is your store.

    I'm very disappointed with how my experience ended with Solano's UltiMutt Grooming…read more My spouse and I brought our two dogs in for grooming, and after our visits, we received a message from the owner stating that they would no longer continue working with us due to "a pattern of concerns" and pickup policy issues. This came as a surprise, as we were not clearly informed of any serious problems beforehand or given a fair opportunity to address them. Our dogs are part of our family, so this situation was upsetting. What made it even more difficult was the emotional impact it had on our household. My spouse is a veteran service member, and the tone and abruptness of the message were very triggering for him. We believe communication, respect, and understanding are essential when working with clients and their pets. Being dismissed in this way felt abrupt, impersonal, and lacking empathy. We hope this business reflects on how they communicate with clients and works toward handling concerns in a more respectful and understanding way.
