My 10 yr old Maltipoo Bella is a very social dog who loves being around people. Bella loves to go out shopping or just being in the car but she gets anxious when her mom and dad aren't within eye sight. I've been taking my mud-loving old English sheepdog, Toby, to see Rita for about a year now. She is the only groomer he has ever been to because she is absolutely amazing. He's a big puppy, about 70ish pounds @just barely a year old and , my sweet little monster, has a bit of anxiety when he goes to the groomer (by "a bit" I mean he completely freaks out and by "anxiety" I mean she usually has to bathe him multiple times because the dryer literally scares the poop out of him ) which I am sure is a lot to handle at times. Rita is so patient and kind and knows exactly how to deal with him. Firm but loving. She goes above and beyond to try to figure out what works for Toby and what will help ease his anxieties. She has been working with him, and me, on how to handle his grooming anxiety and I am so thankful for her! Definitely would recommend Rita for all your big puppy needs! read more

This was our first time going to Simply Grooming because our past groomer's prices kept going up and customer service had gone down. I was very pleased with our experience here. I scheduled online and notified them we could come in last minute if they have cancellations. We filled a cancellation within a week. The staff were very friendly and adhered to all current health regulations at drop off. Most importantly, our dog looked great. We now have a new go to groomer. I gave only two stars because when I brought my corgi in for a cut and bath in November, my once medium hair pup was now shaved. I was very specific on what I asked Rita to do. You do not shave a Corgi! Definitely not shave a dog in the beginning of Winter! I wanted to try her because she has good reviews but unfortunately she didn't listen to anything I asked for. It's now January and my dogs hair finally is long enough to go get a blow out and trim. Although her hair grew back in the weird shape Rita shaved Her in... I contacted Rita last week to inquire on her availability for grooming of my long-haired chihuahua, Diego. He was way overdue for some pampering and with family coming for the holidays, I wasn't sure if I could get him seen very soon. Much to my surprise, she responded very quickly and was able to accommodate us within a few days! She was great with my nervous little guy, who probably did the famous chihuahua shake the whole time. Nice and convenient location. I filled out the online application and got an appointment quickly. My cat did well at this location and they were super nice! She was able to clip his nails very quickly and we were on our way. While we were in the shop they were trimming a little dog, and there were other dogs in the crates. Everything was clean and nice. They had a small seating area, but the animals got the real space - which is how it should be. I will definitely be back! read more

We have a 7 month old male shih tzu. When he was between 4 and 5 month old we brought him to Petco Grooming in Vacaville and all they did is gave him a bath. They said our puppy is growling and might bite. They can not groom him not unless he take a medication or we attend a dog training class. Until then they will not accept him for grooming. We are so frustrated and have not brought our puppy to other groomer, not until my wife's co-worker recommended Rita. We are too concern that our puppy will not be groomed again but wow Rita was able to give him a full groom without a problem. Rita does the BEST job with my fat cat Mimi. Not many groomers will take cats, and mine is super fat and fluffy. LOTS of hair. She took the time to brush out her knots instead of just shaving or cutting them. Mimi just got a brush out, cleanup, and nail trim. She also was able to fit in a nail trim for my kitten when I picked up Mimi. She always responds fast and fits me in quickly. I highly recommend this place!!!
