I have bought many fish, snails and aquatic plants from them. I have been impressed with the knowledge of the employees and everything I have gotten from them has been healthy. I would 100% recommend stopping in!

I wasn't happy with the guy working with fish in tanks. He seemed annoyed by my questions & really not very accurate on the information he was giving. The other employees were very helpful! My pleco is doing great!

One heck of a pet store. So much selection I ended up buying some expensive fish and they are still doing great.

I'd advise taking care with fish- they use RO water, so drip acclimation will be necessary if you're on KC tap water. The Pygmy's cories I got from them were healthy, but they needed a slow acclimation to be put into my quarantine. They're now in the display. They're knowledgeable about their fish and plants (I'd assume salt water as well, but I don't have a saltwater tank, so I can't say one way or the other). The plants I've purchased from them have been great, except for one buce brownie tissue culture that melted and hasn't come back, but apparently my tank doesn't like buce, because I've tired multiple times, and buce melts and never come back, so I don't fault them for that. Their plants are nearly always in good shape and happy. I did buy some downoi that was super leggy, and so I trimmed it to use only the best of it. It's there, in the tank, and I'm watching to see what it does. But the tissue culture of the downoi I got from them really took off, and is propagating just fine. Their cost is in line with online sellers when you factor in shipping. I'll continue to use them. I've been pleased with the knowledge of the employees and their locality.

This location has all the normal amenities of other locations-food, treats, toys, bath stations, etc. I've ordered online and picked up and I've walked in. They have a good selection and fair prices. The only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is due to inconsistent service from employees and cleanliness of the store. There is one employee in particular who is extremely rude for no reason every time I go and she's working. I've never had a similar experience with anyone else that works there. The checkout stations are also frequently unmanned and you have to wait or find someone to check out. I've also had the unpleasant experience of getting a bag that had some sort of liquid on it, I'm assuming pee. This location was my primary location but now I normally try to go to the prairie village location. I will still pop in when I'm in the area and need dog food as my issues are "first-world problems" and I think overall this location is pretty good.

While I…read morewas in the middle of purchasing the bath, she abruptly answered the store phone mid-sentence as I was saying, "Also, am I able to--," and then just disengaged from me until she finished the call. When I went to the back to bathe my dog, I found that there were already three other large dogs either bathing or waiting their turn. While it wasn't a big deal that this wasn't mentioned beforehand, it added to the frustration when combined with the poor attitude and apparent lack of interest in the dogs. I previously worked in dog grooming, and even on days when I saw countless dogs, I was always excited to meet them and made an effort to create a calm, comfortable experience. At this location, I didn't see a single dog acknowledged by staff. I can't say whether that was because I have a "scary" dog breed, but I didn't see any warmth or acknowledgment toward any of the dogs present. Because my dog has anxiety and the overall vibe felt off, I went back to request a refund. Unfortunately, the second employee was just as disengaged and didn't seem to care. She asked if I had a phone account to look up the purchase for the refund, which I did--but the first employee never entered it.

I can't feel bumps in her abdomen nor is she acting sluggish. Her gums looks great and she seems happy and vibrant. We have another vet visit in 2 days. The owners of Country Pets and Ponds defended their feeding rituals by saying "that's why we feed them green leaf lettuce, that healthier." No. Use Google. That is not nourishing them - that's cheap. They defended putting their beardies on sand because "we only do that for the adults, not babies." Doesn't matter. They also accused my vet of "thinking she's an expert," even after praising that vet clinic moments before. Dr. Bradley has a PhD, she is an expert. The adolescent beardie in their care had very little water, even with 3 people working, and her/his water bowl was coated with sand on the bottom. So regardless if s/he is breathing it in or not, she's drinking it. Their animals look damaged and uncomfortabl. Go see for yourself. The male owner boasted about his colony of Dubai roaches he raised himself and told me how hard it was to raise them, all the people I know who raise dubias to save money says he's full of it. He just wants my money. ($7 for 24 medium dubias by the way - I can't afford that.) Please don't give them your money. They don't have a clue of what they're doing.
