He is a pet training couch of 20+ years and is very knowledgeable in his field. At CaptainK9, they offer a variety of raw goods for your pet such as snacks and meals. I signed my husky up for a 5 days boarding with CaptainK9 and the care Kevin put in for my dog made me feel at ease to know that my dog is in the hands of a trained professional with keen eyes, and a big field for him to roam around and have play time interactions with other dogs. Kevin even sent me a video clip of my dog interacting with other boarding dogs. I could have signed my dog up at a big brand pet hotel where he would have been walked daily in the parking lot, and had interacting play time indoors with other dogs, but I'm glad I made the choice of going with CaptainK9, so my dog gets to have playtime outside and enjoy the great outdoors with trusted supervision. I mentioned to Kevin that I've been wanting to switch my husky over to raw food, so he provided raw food to my dog during his boarding period and I am happy to know that he wolfed it all down very quickly. Needless to say, I picked him up today with bags of raw goods for my husky to enjoy at home. Couple key points I'd like to mention: 1. It's my first time EVER doing dog boarding and Kevin made sure he was present for my dog's drop off and pick up time to go through the details with me so I feel at ease. 2. From Kevin's description during my dog's stay, I know he gave great attention to my dog and it's nice to know I can leave my dog in trusted hands. 3. When I picked up some raw food from their store, Kevin knows it's my first ever trying out raw food for my dog so he quickly explained certain mixtures my dog can have to better his digestive system.

The staff are very helpful and knowledgeable and they helped us with the selection. We also picked it some driftwood and moss to add to the tank for the shrimp. We were welcomed right when we walked in and they were very informative and told us about their deals. The shrimp are really tiny!, If some of them didn't pile up on each other i would not have seen them. They have a big range of different colors and sizes too. They also sell those little cute fish that cling onto the sides of the wall or other tiny fish. The cray fish really caught my eye. They're about the size of a cookie, really pretty. They even have blue ones! The man that is working there can answer any of your questions with ease and would tell us some facts we didn't know about the care, sizes and life span. When we arrived at the store. The sales person was trying to convince us to buy baby green cheek conures. When we asked about the sun Conure, he kept saying they are in the back of the store because they were noisy and that we better buy the green cheek baby, which my son didn't like. When we asked about how long will it take until the green cheek baby can be weaned. One time he said 2 weeks another time 3 weeks. When we asked about other birds, he keeps changing the prices. Also he was trying to convince us of buying a bird with broken peak. My kids insisted that they didn't like the green cheek conure and wanted a sun Conure. So we called the next day to ask him to show us the sun Conure, but then he suddenly said that it cost $1400. So we decided not to deal with that store because they were not honest, keep changing the information they provide to us, didn't honour their word, not trust worthy, since they made us come all the way from Ottawa for nothing and to take advantage of us. All this made us even doubt the info they provided about their birds. Hence, we wouldn't recommend dealing with this pet shop.

I bought my baby conure for about $300 which included the cage and a bag of food for it which i think is a pretty good price compared to other pet stores. The baby conure I bought was about three months old. I come back to this store at times when I need to get my bird's nails trimmed. The person who trimmed and sold my bird really cares for his birds, when I brought my conure back after a year for a trim, you can see by the way he calms my bird that he really cares for the safety and health of the birds even after it's sold. You can also get your birds feathers trimmed here as well. The bag of conure food that they sell is only for conures meaning this store actually measures how much sunflower seeds is needed in a conures diet. They also sell other exotic birds hence the name of the pet store like cockatiels, ring necks, finches, parrots etc. I really would love to adopt a ringneck here one day!
