I took my dog, Betty to see Dr. Fruitt after a series of attacks I assumed were seizures. After an initial exam she consulted with me and told me Betty would need to have lab work to make sure she could sustain getting the medications to treat seizures, and it would further help her determine what was going on. I was given the option to stay with her or come back in 45 minutes. 30 minutes later I got a call from Dr. Fruitt directly letting me know Betty had another attack that she got to witness and her heart had stopped, but they had got her back and given her some oxygen. I rushed back and was taken directly to my dog, who was resting in a clean kennel. The doctor showed me her blood work (I am a nurse) and explained in her opinion it was her heart. I could take her to another location that had the resources to do a cardiovascular work up, but it would run into thousands of dollars. Betty is 13 years old and was in terrible shape when we found her abandoned in a trailer park. We have given her a good life for the last 8 months, and I don't think she would survive the testing. So Dr. Fruitt agreed to help me make her comfortable, and prescribed her antibiotics in case there was an infection in a heart valve or some other internal areas that were not showing on the test results. Betty for now is resting comfortably with the pain medications the doctor gave us, and I am very sad she is so sick, but I was very impressed with the level of care she received in the clinic, as well as how up front everyone was about costs before doing any testing. This is the place to go if you want caring people who are up front and honest with you and won't price gouge you with scare tactics. I have also dealt with Dr. Kim in the past and she is as caring as she is knowledgeable. This is a great place to take your pets! read more

The first time I brought my 4 Month old male Shih Tzu Oreo to Pet-Vet was because it was close to my residence. I called to get information on what they offered the person I talked to was extremely informative and after answering several questions I set up an appointment to have him groomed which included a Nail Trim & Buff, trim ear & foot pads, expressing of the anal glands, shampoo, conditioner and warm air dry. And because I had scheduled their grooming services I received a free office call which saved me $25.00, for the Vet to check Oreo out. I asked them to call me as soon as his grooming was done so I could go with him to see the Dr., that is exactly what they did. I picked him up and we went into the Animal Clinic, after about a 5 min. wait just like a human doctors office we were taken to a room the nurse took his temp, weight, asked me questions concerning why we were there all done by a very polite young lady, were told the doctor would see us in a few. Dr. Kim came in looked him over listened to his heart and lungs asked lots of questions and answered every question I had which were many. She was very gentle him and with all the questions I asked she was patient with me and very professional. She explained what and why Oreo need heartworm treatment and flea and tick treatment. Oreo is now 14 months old and I have moved to Enid Oklahoma 4 months ago, due to the distance I checked with several dog owners to find the best groomer and Vet in Enid, I visited the business and was so disappointed. Even though it's an hour and thirty minutes drive I won't trust my little boy with any one else. read more

We have been going to pet-vet for 3 years now and every time we go I love it even more. I have a big 85lbs pit mix(Bear) and a little 43 lbs pocket bully(Chloe) we use both the groomers and vet which are both amazing. The groomers always make sure bear is comfortable because he does not like being on the table at all. so they get on the floor to trim his nails and the whole time are always telling him what a good boy he is being. We take Chloe for their awesome 20 dollars Tuesday and she always comes back happy and white which for a dog that loves to roll in just about everything is amazing. Dr. Kim is just outstanding she always listens to everything I have a concern with I'm one of those crazy dog moms that notice everything they do from licking more than normal to peeing less than usual. She always greets bear and Chloe by name before we even check in and stops by to pet and love on them even when they are crazy busy. I could go on and on because let's face it Pet-Vet is awesome including all the amazing people up front from helping carry dog food out to ordering extra bags of dog food for us when we ask. I've tried Petsmart and other vets/groomers Bear and Chloe always hate them tails tucked and feet dragging hate them. My sweet puppy has the worst anxiety when she gets groomed. We have tried taking her several different places and when we would pick her up her grooming was only halfway done because she was "too difficult." We finally tried PetVet's grooming services and our sweet puppy looked amazing and was even showing affection to her groomer! I love that we can drop her off before work and pick her up once we get off of work. Her groomer (Jessie) always keeps me informed as to how our puppy did and what to do to help ease her anxiety for her next visits. I never feel nervous or worried when leaving our fur-baby with the awesome staff at PetVet. We have also been to see the vet on staff and she was so sweet and gentle with Minnie and very patient with all of our questions that we had. The selection of merchandise in the store is very impressive, especially considering the size of the store, and every staff member has always been so kind and helpful to us. They all understand that our pets are like family and they are treated that way! Pet-Vet is THE BEST! It's so convenient to have the vet/groomer/supplies all in the same place and at competitive prices. My poodle has been going to the groomers here for over 8 years. Melissa in the salon is wonderful! Always has a smile on her face and usually has my dog at the cash register before I finish paying. Carrie is an outstanding groomer and Bruce does a FABULOUS job on my dog's pompoms. I've had a mix up on dates (my fault) for grooming and Melissa is great at working me in. Dr Kim is AWESOME!! She has helped me with my animals for years and is very good at explaining what is going on and is very compassionate when your pet is at it's end days. Dr. Fruitt is also very good and has been really helpful to me & my pets. The store is fantastic! They have just about anything for your pet you can imagine from beds, to collars, food, treats, etc.. They've got the best treats for my animals in town! Some of my friends from Edmond come to Pet-Vet to get their pets treats & food. ALL of the staff at Pet-Vet are so kind and helpful. The Pet Clinic has been a very good experience for our dog & for us. The clinic staff & our Vet, Dr Fruitt, consistently show they care about our dog & her very large dog needs (as a 2yo mastiff/lab mix . Yesterday I took our 2yo to see Dr Fruitt, for f/u on a CCL Injury (Dog's back leg knee ligament or CCL is equivalent to the ACL in human knee.) Roxy doesn't fair smoothly around strange dogs, hence I was standing in hallway waiting to capture receptionist's attn for check-in. Dr Fruitt happened by & immediately noticed me standing back w/Roxy. She came up & asked if I was waiting to check-in w/out a Big Dog Bark Session lol? She immediately placed Roxy & I in an exam room! Dr & Vet Tech worked diligently & answered numerous questions in re to treatment options. Despite time required they were quite patient even w/a full clinic:) Have felt exams, labs, immunizations have been fairly priced too! Give it 5-star ratings for the last 3 visits!!! I've been using Pet Vet for over 6 years, even driving from Kingfisher to MWC to use them. They are exceptional and go above any other vet I've ever used. I have pigs which are complicated and expensive dogs to take care of. Dr Kim is the BEST! The staff is great, how they picked such a good team is beyond me. The entire staff from the vet to supply & grooming are great but the most important thing is how they care for my animals which are my family. They understand when I call in a panic and need one of my furs seen they always make time. If I ever move again I would still drive here. Best Clinic EVER! I love them like family and they love my furs, too. The costs are low and most of the time they will waive several costs such as the office visit if the bill is high. I boarded my boy pug, he had surgery and they called to update me twice during and after his surgery. We have been going to Pet Vet for several years. They are always helpful, friendly and professional. The staff will assist you in any way possible whether it be special ordering a specific item or just providing recommendations from their years of experience. Their vets saved our dog when she had an allergic reaction to a rabies shot from another vet. We have taken our dogs to the vets at Pet Vet for several years now and Dr Fruitt and Dr Kim have always taken great care of them. Several years ago, we had gone to two other groomers and was very dissatisfied and Carrie was recommended to us by a rescue vet. She groomed our dogs for several years and provided outstanding professional grooming. She still sees our latest little dog every three weeks and we wouldn't think of going anywhere else. We recently lost our schnauzers and the support from the entire Pet Vet team was extremely helpful. We plan our vet visits around our trips to OKC from Dallas so that our pug and beagle can go to someone we trust, which we always find at Pet-Vet. The staff is so caring, from helping you decide on the right heartworm medications for a picky pug to the best dog food for a beagle who loves to eat a little too much. ;) Because of their guidance, we have 2 very healthy, active dogs and wouldn't take them anywhere else! The staff at Pet Vet all go above and beyond with the care of my loved ones. From the helpful staff in the store to the to caring doctors to the sweethearts who treat my fur-luvs to spa day's. I have gotten in on short notices and have never been hassled when asking for a specific date/ time. I have been bringing my pets here and will continue. I just adore the attention they give my fur- luvs and the detail they pay to my concerns. I had an heartbreaking end of life event with my 14 yr old lab, Dr. Kim and her staff were so professional and caring and made that terrible transition less terrible. The first time I took Porthos my Fluffy Corgi he was sapose to see Carrie. Her and I had discussed how I wanted his Corgi butt done. I told her I wanted it round . She said is there any other way that a Corgi but should be ! When she said that , I knew we were on the same piece of paper. I had been to at least 5 groomers including Pet Smart and NEVER got what I wanted so I was pretty stoked. So after talking to her I made him an appointment . When I picked him up for his very first appointment , HE SMELLED TOTALLY DELICIOUS . But his butt was not what we talked about. She obviously had to have not been there. We love Pet-Vet! My whole family (5 households) uses them for their pets. The staff is very friendly and helpful and both Dr. Fruitt and Dr. Kim are very kind and gentle. It's very apparent they love animals and they treat them like their own. My Golden Retriever is a therapy dog for children and gets groomed there monthly. The kids and parents always comment about how soft and shiny his fur is. I love that he doesn't have that wet dog smell when I pick him up and he has a LOT of fur. I don't know everyone's names but Yvonne and Becky are awesome! They go above and beyond to help and have even helped me out to the car when I had both dogs after knee surgery. I took my little dog to Pet Vet and got his shots and nails buffed as I had waited too long for the nails so they could not clip them yet. I was worried about how he would react as he hates leashes but they were really good with him and he behaved really well thru all of it. I will definitely be taking him back and today I am taking my disabled neighbor's dog for shots, nails and another problem. I am nice to all the employees and they are all very nice to me, if I am there for my dog or just to buy dog/cat food or supplies. I don't see why anyone should have a problem there. read more

Love them! My dog has been going here for years and they are professional, friendly, and affordable. My dog is quite stubborn and I know she isn't easy to from but they are always nice and pretend they are happy to see her anyway sometimes it takes a bit longer than I expected for it to, but that usually happens when she's also getting heartworm tested in the vet portion of the clinic as well as getting groomed. Wish I knew that this place existed years ago! They offer everything in one place. The employees are so nice and you can tell that they really care. I love that while your pet has been dropped off for grooming they can see the vet, get a new I.D. tag made, and even have a shopping list of supplies picked out and waiting for you when you pick them up.
