We have been going to Clinton Keith Veterinary Hospital for our two dogs since 2021. Staff is friendly and truly care about our pets. The lobby is nice and spacious with complimentary treats available for your dog. The treatment rooms are also nice without any unpleasant smells. There is plenty of parking.

I have been bringing my doggies here for 3 years now. The front desk is always so nice on the phone and in person. The veterinarians are knowledgeable and great with my dogs. The vet techs are also very good with my dogs. They are not emergency vets, so if something happens, you would have to go elsewhere. They only have certain medications on hand. I had to go through Chewy.com to get my dogs flea and heartworm preventative medicines. They are super cool with it and fax over the prescription when needed. They are open on Saturdays, which is great. I think their prices are standard and competitive. Their lobby is clean as clean can be with animals coming through. They have chips and candy while you wait. They are such a great place to bring your pets.

Jake loved going to Clinton Keith veterinary - even on his last day. This photo was taken a couple weeks before that day.)

I asked if I could see the kittens. I'd been there a few weeks prior but left kittenless. I was just not sure about adding a new kitten into our home. Fast forward to the other day... Inside one of two kitten rooms, you can sit with kittens! (Reminds me of Rocky Kanaka and his "Sitting With Dogs" YouTube's.) So I went inside and lo and behold, a Siamese mix kitten came right up to me! I took that kitty home, OF COURSE I DID! We named the kitten, Thai-Too. I kept Keiki, a Toy Poodle, on leash till they got to know eachother. I think it went well! ‍‍‍‍‍‍‍Note: he was already neutered and chipped at the facility! Wow, I lucked out.

I'm really really happy with what I experienced at the clinic today with my Shelby Anne and I must say the prices are so good. Everybody was very kind and I'm really really happy and I'm sure Shelby and is going to be very happy and just be OK as she recovered as she recovers. I totally recommend you guys. I've been here twice in 2 months with both dogs…read more My first experience with this vet was when my 100lb. pitbull was having an allergic reaction. My dog's usual vet wasn't able to get him and recommended pet wellness, while my dog is huge, he's a massive baby. From the moment we arrived, he was treated like the baby he is, love, care, and understand the entire visit. Dooly was a little unsure about Dr. Fang at first, but Dr. Fang did everything to make him feel comfortable and at ease. They determined Dooly was in fact having a reaction quickly and sent us home with medication if another was to occur and a shot while there that helped quickly. What I appreciated most was the follow up the next day checking in on Dooly. Fast forward to this week, I came home to my other dog with a massive gash on his side and no idea where it came from. Again, his regular vet was not able to see him and I remembered the pet wellness center. I drove over and was informed that they weren't an urgent care until after 4 o'clock the front desk person I spoke with asked if he could wait to be seen until after four and I said I wasn't sure, but the cut was pretty bad. He was nice enough to have somebody out and come check on my dog, who determined that he needed to be seen. Rather than send me away to somebody else who could take him, they fit me into their schedule and help Chevy out. They cut me updated the entire time because I had to leave him there to be sedated and seen and handled him with care from the moment he arrived as well. Again, they followed up the next day, checking in on how he was doing and because we need to go back, they were very accommodating on when to see him again. All this to say, I'm considering switching my vet here as the care that they've shown is above and beyond.

He has been playful, eating, not lethargic has not vomited once. The receptionist instructed us to keep him in the car and upon arrival I made sure to let them know I did not feel comfortable with him going into the contagious pet exam room, he is showing no symptoms and if the facility is run correctly AAHA certified they should be disinfecting exam rooms if any suspicion of any contagious disease, I told Vanessa I was declining a parvo test, wanted an exam and fecal done to start with, she was obviously annoyed and stated she had to check with the Dr. she returned to let me know we MUST do a parvo test in order to have him come in the building. Which is ridiculous, especially since he's displaying no symptoms and was positive for giardia just weeks ago. She clarify does not have the maturity, tact or customer service skills to handle clients. She started getting visibly upset, using hand gestures and rolling her neck. She stormed off and got another employee who stated the same, apparently you are forced to do Parvo test here despite pets being positive for Giardia and showing no signs of Parvo. Had Vanessa been professional and knew how to communicate, I assure you things would have gone differently but she upset me and unfortunately I had to put her in her place, I'm sorry little girl but you will run into clients who will question your protocols so maybe some more training on your end would be benificial if you continue in this field. (We ended up in the same parking lot at "Not Just For Pawsl" which was a completely different experience, everyone was very professional, they got us in for a same day appointment , understood that our dog showed absolutely no symptoms of parvo and we had proof of a positive giardia test which I informed Canyon Lake AH about yet they wouldn't listen and in my opinion was a get more money out of clients situation, with that being said drive past Canyon Lake Animal Hospital and go to "Not just for Paws" we ran into no "Vanessa's" there and had an amazing experience from calling to make the appointment all the way to check out)

After bringing him home, his condition worsened, his tongue turned blue, and unfortunately he passed away. I strongly recommend that pet owners choosing a shelter for spay or neuter procedures consider having blood work done before surgery to check for any underlying conditions that may not be obvious beforehand. I'm sharing this so other pet owners feel comfortable asking detailed questions about post-operative recovery, discharge criteria, monitoring, and what signs should prompt emergency care after surgery.
