Always happy with my visits here. Never have to wait long for an appointment and they never keep us waiting long once we are there. My dog needed an antibiotic and when I came to pick it up it was in liquid form and really expensive. Without me having to ask, the girl at the front desk asked the vet if they could switch it to tablets which was way cheaper and way easier for my dog to take. I was so impressed and happy with how it was handled and happy that I didn't have to pay extra. I believe her name is Raven, she was working the front desk and helped with switching the meds. I told her I was heading to an appointment and would have to come back to pick up the meds. She sent me a text to let me know that the meds were able to be switched to tablets and that they were ready to be picked up. read more

Hello, I have been taking my dog to Petwow since she was a puppy and always had good experience in 2020. I had a stroke and then I was homebound so I had to use the mobile unit for a few years well last year while here on a home visit, something happened to my dog in that truck.she's not the same dog and she does not trust me. She does not trust Petwow anymore. I had to move her to a different vet. Because when I take her there, they have to sedate her to even examine her and I'm not doing that to her anymore She's 10 years old something happened. I don't know what because I wasn't there but my dogs actions prove that something happened to her she's generally a very sweet girl and she is not because of this she doesn't trust me anymore either so it's been difficult. Last week Dr. Rice and unknown vet technician came to my home to perform an exam and update my dogs shots. Dr. Rice an unnamed vet technician let go of the dog and walked away. Then the dog jumped off the high table, landing flat as a pancake, on the floor. while the dog was still muzzle. Causing injury to her left back leg. Pet Wow and staffed didn't bother to reexamine the dog after this event. When I called PetWow and left a message that the dog was limping and in pain. I was told I could drop her off for a complimentary x-ray of her leg. I took her to another vet office since I was uncomfortable leaving my dog in their care alone. The other vet has confirmed the dog has injured her leg. Petwow now will not take responsibility for the 450.00 bill. They feel it is best to separate our relationship from their company. read more

Unfortunately had a terrible experience using their mobile vet service. From my appointment time being changed last minute, my cat being allowed to fall off the exam table while her entire face was muzzled and having her fall on to the floor during their care, (she's a senior cat mind you) to being put back into her carrier with feces all over her and no attempt from the tech to help clean her off, I would never recommend this vet to anyone. read more

Outrageous price to euthanize a 7 lb cat ($440) with nothing to show for it. No ashes returned, communal cremation. I have never paid this much for euthanasia & cremation. Never even saw a doctor, the front desk staff were uncooperative and combative to my requests to have my dog stay with me until their appointment. Only stating "It's against Policy" never explaining the policy or answering questions directly. Manager was rude and condescending the entire conversation, throwing "I have been in this industry for 15 years" acting like I should bow to him or something. Staff here could easily be considered "Uncompassionate" and need proper training on how to handle customers. read more

We've taken my dog here for years off and on, and each experience is worse than the last. The doctors are nice- but the front desk people are ridiculously rude. Yesterday made me write this review, as I don't write many at all, and hardly ever negative ones. But my dog has been struggling with fleas, and I have 4 dogs, so I called and explained that I cannot afford to bring all 4 in, she assured me they could sell me OTC meds for all 4, and a room spray. I will never take another animal anywhere else for vet care!! I have plenty of vets within a short radius of my house, one I can walk to, but we used PetWow Highland Heights for an emergency for our SAAP dog and they were able to take us the same day when other vets couldn't or the vets couldn't be reached (and they wouldn't dare call the vets) to tell us whether we needed to take her to a hospital or not. PetWow was there for us when that dog was having multiple seizures and needed to be seen to make sure she was ok. PetWow was there for us when that dog passed away 1.5 weeks ago (they were literally on the phone when it happened) and were quick to act, comfort me, and help us with aftercare. We didn't have her for very long but the PetWow staff, especially Brittney and Dr. Myers, were there for our family. I drive 30 minutes (assuming no traffic) to get to PetWow Highland Heights but I won't go anywhere else. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! We adopted a new puppy and I took her to PetWow for her post-adoption visit and a booster. Our new puppy will continue care here because everyone there has made us feel so welcome every time we walk in the door, our dog so loved, all of us cared for, and their pricing is great! read more

Wow ... these guys are the worst. Not any individual, really, just the place as a whole. They are very much what you would expect, from the name: corporate, profit-driven, hands-off treatment. My cat came in for surgery a few weeks ago, but the experience mirrored when my other cat had to have a few teeth extracted a year and a half ago. I foolishly gave them another chance, because my previous vet was now an employee here. But here's the problem ... they are set up like a "system" that is the opposite of the personal touch. That is, their doctors, techs, and other employees are, by design, interchangeable. Which I'm sure saves them money, but the end result is, literally no one at PetWow takes "ownership" of any issue. Every time I call or stop in, I talk to someone different; and no one I can get on the phone knows or even remembers my cat. I made an appointment because the vet I knew would be there. Well, turns out, she wasn't there that day after all. One of the other two would perform the surgery. Which one? "Oh, whichever of us is available at the time." Can I talk to them afterwards, for a follow up? "Of course!" (Not true.) Here's the other problem with PetWow. You don't get to talk to the actual doctors after you've paid, only before. So instead, I get some $10 per hour, untrained, barely informed dimwit whose job is to - I kid you not - read the "instructions" from the vet without any understanding. And so, if you have a follow up question - about the medications, or the after-surgery care, or anything at all - they literally have no idea what to say. So they put you on hold and hunt down someone to ask, and you can only hope they ask the right question in the right way. My cat was (wrongly) scheduled to be picked up that evening, after her surgery. I say wrongly because earlier, the intake person told me I should pick her up the next morning. So, after the surgery, the person who called me thought I was coming to get her then. I told that person what the intake person had said, and she replied, "Okay, sure, no problem. We'll just keep her overnight. I'll put a note on here to make sure you aren't charged." The next day I asked about the medication ... she was supposed to get two doses the night before: pain meds once a day and antibiotics twice a day. So both should have been given to her the night before. But they had no idea, no record. "Well, did she get them both?" "I'm sure she did." "How do you know?" "Well, the night techs follow exactly what's on the board." "Okay. Who updated the board once you knew she was staying overnight?" "I'm sure whoever you talked to did that." "Can you check?" "Well, the board is cleared every night." "Can you ask who was here?" "Oh, they aren't here right now. But I'm sure they took care of it." "How are you sure?" "There are two of them, and they have a list on the board of all the medications for the pets that stay overnight. And they just follow what's on the board for each." "But how do you know it was on the board?" "Okay, just a minute." [ten minutes later] "Okay, I talked to one of the techs last night who gave all the pets the medicine for the night, and they said they followed everything that's on the board and every pet is listed that's supposed to get medicine, and that's how we know your pet got the medicine she's supposed to get." "So, she was listed on the board?" "I'm sure she was." "... Okay, fine. How about this: the directions say I should give her pain meds for four days. But you gave me four doses total. And you also said she received one dose last night. So, do I give her four more?" "Let me check." [ten minutes later] "Okay, it's fine to give her one each day, for four days, and that's why we gave you four." "But did she get one last night?" "I'm sure she did." "Why do I still have four then?" "Oh, we just give them the medicine out of our own stock." "Is that what happened?" "That's how they usually do it." "But that means she already got one." "Yes, that's right." "But the directions here say she should only get four." "Yes, that's correct." "So, do I give her just three of these, or do I give her all four." "If you have four there, then it's fine to give her four." "But the directions say just once a day for four days. If I give her these, that will be five days." "I'm sure it's fine." And on like that. No one really knows. The employees - whatever random person answers the phone, might not even be from the same location - are just taught to read notes and lists and instructions, and, as far as I can tell, get you off the phone. No one takes ownership for who is responsible for your pet: not for writing or updating or keeping track of those things. They have the way it's "supposed" to work, but have literally know way of finding out if that procedure was followed. It's the most bass-ackward, disorganized, don't-give-a-shit veterinarian I've ever been to. read more

I used PetWow for 2 years for five of my cats. I never thought twice about taking my cat who had broken his leg into the practice. Turns out it was the worst mistake I could've ever made. I was quoted $1,900 for an amputation or $2,100 to repair his leg. It seemed like a no brainer to go for the repair. The long term effects and risks of pinning were NEVER gone over with me. Aaron Stamper did my cat, Comet's procedure. I was only given a few days of pain meds for after his surgery which required his entire leg to be opened up, which as you can imagine is extremely painful. 2 weeks after surgery Comet was in excruciating pain and I rushed him to MedVet Emergency Vet where they informed me the pin had failed. I took him into be seen by Aaron Stamper who told me I had nothing at all to be worried about! Comet was fine, it was his stitches bothering him, or maybe even where the pin is sticking out of his hip! He's not experiencing pain from his surgery at all! Here's 2 days of pain meds, he'll get over it! Yeah, okay. I then took Comet to a new vet, where I learned about the feline grimace pain scale. Comet ranked at an 8/10. He was properly given 3 pain meds to be on at all times until his leg was healed enough to have the pin removed. Little did we know his leg was never going to heal. Not only did the pinning cause extreme nerve and muscle damage to Comet's leg, it also did absolutely nothing to heal his bone. 6 weeks after surgery his pin was removed, and his leg was still fractured. There was immense callus on only one part of his bone. Now $5,000 later in vet bills, his leg was in worse shape than before surgery, with extreme nerve and muscle damage. We made the difficult decision to amputate his leg. Mind you, at our new vet we were quoted $500 for the amputation, not anywhere near $1,900. After he was isolated alone for 8 weeks total, it was all for nothing. When our new vet went into amputate his leg, the damage was so intense it took over double the amount of time under anesthesia to amputate. Comet ended up passing away after throwing a clot and having multiple seizures. I fully blame PetWow and their manipulative actions for the death of my only 1 year old cat. I recommended PetWow to 10+ family members and friends for them to manipulate and lie to me so egregiously that now my once healthy cat is dead. Thanks PetWow. read more

I was a huge fan of Pet Wow until it was too late. I first started using them in 2013/2014 when my black lab had a really bad back and we couldn't physically take him to the vet. They came to us. Then in late 2014 when we got a new dog (Buerger), we decided to keep using them because of how great Dr. Line was when he came out to treat our Simon who had cancer. Two years ago, while on a routine checkup, they noticed a mass in Buerger's anal gland. Surgery to remove it was the only way to biopsy it. We were told there was no cancer - I still vibudly recall the phone call as I was so relieved. Dr. Myers found the lump. Dr. Stamper did the surgery. This summer, we moved back to Cleveland, OH. He stopped eating. X-rays showed masses in his abdomen and we were referred to an oncologist. We had all of his records sent from Pet Wow to the oncologist. The first question the oncologist asks is to tell her about the cancer diagnosis from 2 years ago as she hands us the lab report that was included in his record. We were told he didn't have cancer, yet the lab report says the opposite. For 2 years, we had multiple visits and none of the doctors informed us of the cancer nor recommended treating it. He was only 10. We just euthanized him. If we had treated him from the time of the diagnosis, he probably would have had at least another year or two. The oncologist called Pet Wow and asked about it. She was told that they had a lot of turnover and when the sample was re-evaluated by the lab company, no one noticed. Both Dr. Stamper and Dr. Myers are still listed on the website. The oncologist asked them to call me at my request. They said they would. No one has ever called. No apology. We adopted a animal this week from SAAP and was told to get her first appointment within 2 weeks as her papers showed she was due for vaccine shots and the lady that handed us these papers told us to hope this was just a clerical error. I called to make this appointment on Thursday and explain I am unable to make weekday appointment for work reasons. So I was set for a 10:45 on Saturday. I arrived early to check in and was told the appointment was made incorrectly and that it was put for Friday. As we were discussing the situation and they pulled up her records they spoke about a 1:45 appointment that day. We were suppose to have other plans but those could get cancelled due to weather. As we were in this discussion I told them to just do the 1:45 and within the matter of our conversation it was no longer available. The apology wasn't worth it at this point.... It's sad to see customer service these days. As a new pet owner in over 15 years I feel like a new parent. Trying to do everything right. I've had many vets over the years because I've moved around quite a bit. This place was the absolute worst. Never have I met a veterinarian with a worse bedside manner. She was cold, very clinical, and had my 60 pound dog lifted up on an exam despite the fact that she was clearly uncomfortable. I expressed concern about her heartworm test because I gave her the pill late in December. I said "But I probably shouldn't be worried" and she followed up with "Oh yes, you should be worried". My dog is an indoor dog that is on preventative year round and was late for a pill in a winter month - no, I shouldn't be worried. That was the moment I decided I would never be back. It's disgusting for a vet to prey on the anxieties and vulnerabilities of an owner. Even as a new, young dog owner I knew that was wrong. I went to Fort Thomas Animal Hospital and my dog got amazing care there while we lived in the Cincinnati area. Go read the Facebook reviews as well. But have tissues ready because a couple are particularly heartbreaking. read more

I can't say enough great things about the PetWow. I scheduled a home Vet visit for our sick cat who is very anxious and fearful of strangers. He had a bad respiratory infection, wasn't eating and was having some breathing troubles due to the congestion. Dr. Brewster and her assistant Kelsey of the Florence office were wonderful to him! Dr. Brewster was very knowledgeable and explained the medicine she gave him and what it was for. It took some time, but our kitty is doing much better after their care. I have had pets for a long time. My cat had an unexpected issue where we had to put him down. When leaving the clinic, I asked the woman at the front deak what we owed. She said that they would contact us later with the price. We never received anything from them. Recently, we got a call from a debt collector, 6 months after putting our pet down, asking that we pay for the bill for putting my pet down. We received no phone calls, mail, or emails notifying us. I cannot believe the disrespect we got the day we had to put our pet down. There was no sincerity. They acted as if they didn't care and would contact us at a later time for the bill. Oh My Goodness...My dog has a hurt leg so I took him to Pet Wow because they would do a complete sedation for grooming. He was so hot with this weather, I opted to do it. While he was sedated, I also had his teeth cleaned...I sent pictures to the groomer of previous grooms so she would know what to do...total bill $360...which would have been fine if they didn't hack him up!! He was totally out for heavens sake...how hard could it have been! So disappointed...definitely first and last time there. The people were nice...but wow! read more
