Awesome, friendly, professional staff who treat your animal like their own and go above and beyond the call of duty.

Sweet, friendly staff! They made us very comfortable under unfortunate circumstances. Very informative and did not rush us. Can't appreciate the staff more having to console people in losing their beloved pet. read more

I can't say enough great things about PRPH. We used to go to a vet that was inside a chain of pet stores, but realized it was economically better and the service was better at Pleasant Ridge Pet Hospital. It's nice to see that their staff doesn't constantly turn over. The doctors at PRPH are awesome! We had to put one of our dogs down (he had canine cancer) and the staff and doctors here were nothing short of amazing. They gave us a free clay imprint of his paw before he passed. The doc walked and talked us through everything. They were super caring and gave us some time as we needed. Putting Harry down was the hardest thing I have ever had to do. The vet was very wonderful with us about it. A couple weeks later, we received a sympathy card from the entire staff of PRPH. I can't recommend them enough! Their prices are reasonable and the service is exceptional. read more

Pleasant Ridge Pet Hospital lost a customer today. They've implemented this new policy where you are charged a ridiculous fee if you're not there to pick up your pet whenever they're ready with your pet. Doesn't matter how long they take, you better be there when they call! I was there to drop off my dog at my appointment time, but it took almost 15 minutes before anyone came out to get her, then had to wait another 30 for the vet to check my dog out. When I absolutely couldn't wait anymore (because I had to get back to work), I called and told them that my daughter would be there to pick up my dog in 2 minutes. (I live within walking distance to the vet...not even a full 5 minute walk). I was told that since my daughter was not physically there, they would charge me $33 to hold my dog. Here's the kicker....my dog wasn't even ready yet!!!! My daughter got there before they were even ready to bring my dog out! I'm completely disappointed...That was terrible service and they've lost my business. I'll take my 3 dogs elsewhere! read more

This is by far my favorite vet that I have gone to. Pleasant Ridge Pet Hospital is always so accommodating to your pet (one of my dogs has a lot of anxiety problems) and always so attentive to your pet's need. The whole staff makes you feel like they care for your fur baby as much as you do. The vet that I see is always so empathetic and willing to listen to any questions or concerns I may have. Personally I also think their prices are very fair and they will even give you an estimate if you ask for it before any procedures. After so many bad experiences with different vets, I am so glad I found this vet clinic! Thank you for caring for my dogs as much as I do! read more

This place is truly great! They are very responsive and accommodating and care for their patients! There was a bit of a scheduling mix up regarding the app and my real appointment time -- the cat clinic was closed until afternoon and i arrived at 8am (due to me thinking that's when my appointment was). They said my appt wasn't until afternoon, but Dr. Shelle was so so kind and went ahead and took care of my girl rather than having me come back 5 hours later. I really appreciated them accommodating us. Pets with anxiety can make vet trips hard and I'm so thankful she squeezed us in. read more

I love taking our dogs here the entire staff is friendly and their fees are very reasonable, plus, they're right down the street from my house. All of their veterinarians are friendly with the dogs and they try to keep it as stress free as possible for our pets and when you walk in there generally isn't anyone in the waiting area and take you right back to the rooms. Overall a great vet to bring your pet to read more

Brought my dog Charlie to Dr. Wasserman. Easy to understand, personable and diagnosed the problem in a few seconds. Staff friendly and clearly like animals. Got the appointment in the morning and had to delay it because I had men working in my home. They were very nice about allowing me to have a later time. no wait to be seen. What could be better! read more

Love the doctors here but the front desk gets a lot of things mixed up and I've had to make trips back here to correct. Check your meds before you leave and any rebate coupons to make sure they are current. Care is excellent- wish they would work on the details! read more

I have been bringing all of my pets (Dogs and cats) to PRPH since 2005. They are amazing! They are attentive, have gotten my pets in immediately if I ever had a concern, provide quality care and everyone I've worked with has been nothing but kind and compassionate. I can't rate them highly enough. I will never take my pets anywhere else. read more

This pet hospital and care center CANNOT be beat. We have been other places for our dog and cat, and this place of amazing doctors and techs is above and beyond what we have seen elsewhere. Denise Chase is absolutely fantastic!!! She is warm and caring, and shows genuine love and concern for your fur baby. She is highly intelligent and very thorough when explaining your visit. The vet techs are just as wonderful and will do everything they can to make you and your pet comfortable. I am so fortunate to have this hospital nearby, and wouldn't want to go anywhere else. Thank you, Pleasant Ridge Per Hospital! read more

I can't say enough good things about this practice. We have been taking both of our dogs here for several years and have had nothing but pleasant interactions and the best care. They are very accommodating with scheduling both regular appointments and emergency walk ins. My dog was injured yesterday and I brought him in without an appointment and they got him fixed up right away. Thanks so much to all the wonderful staff - keep up the amazing work! read more

We absolutely love these guys. From taking care of routine medical needs to grief counseling after a heart retching loss of a beloved pet. Ecards for birthdays are a delight to receive. Dr Albrecht and the whole team earn the 5 star rating one would want from a family member caregiver. Thanks for all you do read more

If I could give a negative star rating, I would. We have had our dog cared for by Pleasant Ridge Pet Hospital for about 5 years. Only regular checkups which they were fine (maybe). Last annual checkup was October, No issues. In November our dog began experiencing coughing, loss of bark and gagging. Steroids, painkillers were prescribed. Temporary relief. He continued with vomiting and some diarrhea. Next visit included an X-ray and more steroids, antacids and antibiotics. Still no real diagnosis. The third visit gave a diagnosis of pancreatitis and more drugs. All of these have some temporary relief (a couple of days at best). Pleasant Ridge told us if the latest drugs didn't work, they would need to hospitalize him for observation. He saw three different vets at this practice. We finally went to a different vet when symptoms escalated and our dog stopped eating and drinking, wouldn't walk (4 days earlier took his usual 3 mile walk) wouldn't jump up or down from furniture and was losing weight. On the first visit, this vet performed an ultrasound (never even considered at Pleasant Ridge) and found growths on both his spleen and liver. Cancer and it had obviously spread. We had him euthanized the next day so he didn't have to suffer any longer. I would never, ever use this practice nor recommend it. read more

I can't believe it's taken us this long to find the perfect veterinary hospital for my French Bulldog, Billy. We swore that our dog will never go back to MedVet after the horrible incident last year with his neck injury. Our referrals were from my husband's clients. They had nothing but good things to say about Pleasant Ridge Pet Hospital. Plus we did our research and read client testimonials online. They even received Super Service Award from Angie's List. Recently my frenchie's mouth was swollen. We had to rush him to the hospital. My husband called the and the front desk was very helpful. They asked us to bring him in right away. When he got there, they treated him right away. My dog had an allergic reaction to food or he got bit by a bug. They injected 50 mg of Diphenhydramine and requested us to stay for a couple of minutes so that they can monitor and make sure he did not get a bad reaction. Our doctor that assisted us was Jordan Albrecht. She was helpful, kind, and paid attention to detail. We were out of the hospital within 30 mintues. Dr. Albrecht asked us to monitor his mouth and if it gets worse to bring him back. My frenchie is now fine. What a stress free visit and we did not felt rushed out. With the doctor's visit fee and injection only cost us $61.00. If we would have went somewhere else or MedVet, it would have been more. My husband and I was so impressed and pleased with the service, that we had Billy's (my frenchie) medical records transferred from our old Vet hospital in Loveland. Don't get me wrong, we have no complaints with the previous vet hospital, however this place is cheaper and customer service is excellent. Plus it is only 2 miles away from our home. They offer Wellness plan, online pharmacy, pet health food, and more. I highly recommend Pleasant Ridge Pet Hospital. I now feel confident and safe that my dog is in good hands. Best vet around! I found them while desperate for a vet open after work to see my sick doxies last year. Since then I think we've seen all the vets, techs, receptionists, you name it, and they are all fantastic. Super nice bunch of people. They always take the time to explain things and provide options and they are SO REASONABLY PRICED! I think we logged something like 15 visits last year and I haven't found a single thing to complain about. Oh and their hours! Thank goodness for a local vet that is open after 5 and on weekends. Because really .. Who's dog ends up sick M-F 9-5? read more

I absolutely love this hospital. I have a calico kitty and an English Bulldog and they made my experience there wonderful. The doctor examined Bruiser (the bulldog) on the floor since he is afraid of heights and too big for the table. She took very good care care of him and my kitty. Bruiser has bad skin allergies and she was able to control it. The wait was not long at all and the rooms were comforting with comical pictures. Unfortunately, I had to move away and wish I could have found someone half as good as her (the Vet). The staff was, also, magnificent and answered my questions clearly. Thank you for helping us out for 3 happy years! read more

Best vet I've been to. Very affordable. Extremely caring and supportive. We recently had to put our 15 year old cat down due to cancer, and PRPH was incredibly supportive throughout his illness and with the decision to put him down. These people, the vet, the vet assistants, the receptionists are the real deal. Beautiful to animals and beautiful to owners. I just moved to Cincinnati and my long time vet of 16 years was back home. My elderly cat became very sick after the move and we knew it was time, but I had didn't think her time would come so soon. I researched and called around, and was referred to Pleasant Ridge Pet Hospital. I brought our Gracie there, and suffice it to say that I feel like an angel guided us there. Grace was unfortunately at the end of her journey, but they were warm and loving, as well as professional, and I was so very grateful. God bless the caring professionals at Pleasant Ridge. You are beautiful people and you truly love animals. read more

Everyone was great and so sweet to my dog. I loved that the vet sat on the floor with my dog to examine her. :)

A few years ago I wanted to switch vets because I just didn't feel the love and they were extremely expensive. Honestly, I decided to just try out Pleasant Ridge Pet Hospital because they're close to home. Good for me! The vets & their staff couldn't be kinder. There have been times when I was freaking out because the dog did something weird & hurt himself, but they always try to fit me in as soon as possible to tend to him. They're always thoughtful and service is quick. I've never had a problem scheduling and I appreciate their email reminders for when vaccinations are due. I try to support women and minority owned businesses- this is one of the best. read more

Yesterdat was the first time that I took my dog, Maggie to this vet. She had been having hives and I wanted to get her looked at ASAP. Sandra F had recommended this place to me and I am glad she did. I was able to get a same day appointment, which was awesome. The office was clean and the staff was friendly. The vet (I can't remember her name) was very nice and was able to get my dog feeling a lot better. The prices are also great, and cheaper then where I was previously taking my dog. I thought the price was a bit high but after asking around I was told it was a good value for all that they did for her. I took my dog Elmer here for the first time this week, and it was the best vet experience I have ever had. She was very thorough and took her time with the visit to address all of my questions and concerns. Helen was very patient with Elmer while giving him his shots. After a bad experience at another vet in the area, I tried this place. I was referred by a different vet and am so happy they told me to try them. I was able to get in the next day! My cat went for his annual vaccinations and also to check up on some teeth problems he's had in the past. Dr. Jaxx was so nice and my cat (who is the definition of a scaredy-cat) was calm and comfortable with her. Dr. Jaxx was great with talking me through his past dental issues, and explained what she was looking for while examining him. As he had an excellent check up, she laid out a plan for future proactive care that we could talk about at his next check up, since there was no need for a teeth cleaning at this point. Other vets may have taken advantage of the fact my cat has had dental issues before and recommended a teeth cleaning when it wasn't medically necessary.. so I appreciate the honestly. Dr. Jaxx and both vet techs that came by were so helpful and didn't mind me asking questions. They explained everything and offered suggestions when warranted. I also really liked how the vaccines were 3 year opposed to 1 year. They were the same price as the 1 year vaccines from this other vet so I welcome a way to save money. I also received a rabies tag, which after telling the vet assistants at PRPH, they were surprised the previous vet never provided one. Only downside is the tricky parking lot. It's a one-lane entrance to access the lot so upon arrival and leaving, one car had to back up so the other could pass. A minor irritant but still. All and all, we'll be back. Everyone was super friendly, the place was clean and they took great care of my cat. Thanks for the excellent experience, for both me and my animal. read more
