I did leave a message on the answering machine of Petaluma Floral before posting my question but it was after hours. Well Beth, who is the owner of Petaluma Floral, commented on my post that she could do it. But she took it a step further and posted a picture of one that she had just made & included her phone number. I called the next morning & she took the design she created for someone else and added yellow tulips as tulips were my brother's favorite flower plus I wanted yellow to light yellow since it was for his funeral. Let me tell you the price was right, and the arrangement & colors were exactly what I wanted! She was able to get me in her schedule since it only gave her 8 days to create it and she delivered them herself the morning of the funeral. Talk about excellent customer service!! I wish I would've gotten a better picture of this special arrangement but unfortunately the tent cast a shadow over them. They were beautiful! I've ordered from Petaluma Floral multiple times over the course of about a year now for special occasions, and these have been consistently some of the best arrangements I've ordered in my life. Each one has been a little different, but still maintain the same general look/feel per my preferences. I may have been a little lucky, but the bouquets always seem to last longer in the vase than some of the flowers I get from grocery stores too. I've only ordered online, but as another reviewer mentions, I get the sense that this floral arrangement company caters to making arrangements for specific types of events. That is, when you order an arrangement on their website, you can input your preferences and the general look and feel you'd like out of your arrangement and they'll design the arrangement to spec. You can preorder in advance of the date you'd like them to deliver. They have mostly been on-time with their deliveries (you can specify if you have a preferred time frame of delivery on a specific day), but have been communicative with me if the flowers need to be delivered in a different time frame (e.g., when they're really busy trying to get out an order for a large event like a wedding). Note that their website specifies that they only deliver in Petaluma. Overall, I would highly recommend Petaluma Floral.

This farmer is not big by any means in comparison but it's so well maintained, charming, and so beautiful. They only open for about a month during lavender season in early summer. So pencil that in on your calendar to email or call b/c it's by appointment only. The tour is $15 per person and it's well worth it. The owners JoAnn and Rick gave a very informative tour of the property, lavender fields, bee-keeping, and the history of the farm. There are plenty of photo ops and you'll also get to meet Bob who is the master dog at the lavender bee farm. The best part of the tour is the tasting in the end IMO. JoAnn served us samples of local artisan cheese and fresh watermelon drizzled with lavender honey. OMG they tasted sooooo freaking fantastic!!! And how can I forget about that lavender lemonade. WOWZ!!! After the tour, you are free to explore on your own and/or buy honey and gifts from the small gift shop. I picked up a bottle of lavender honey for $18. I can't wait to return next year and take my parents there, too! Love love!!

Martin and Elizabeth are amazing to work with. We started planning my daughters wedding a year ago. Two months prior to the wedding we had to make some changes to our flower order by email and in person. There was no problem with the change. The wedding was on August 22nd and true to his word Martin delivered the flowers on time and they were absolutely beautiful. Especially the bridal bouquet. I never thought I'd have a "go-to florist" but I do. I've used Petal Town a bunch of times and they've never let me down. I originally found them when I was late somewhere and needed flowers at the last minute. I ran in there right before they were closing and the guy (I think he's the owner) dropped what he was doing to whip up something beautiful in just 10 minutes! The hostess was thrilled when I showed up with them. Since then, I always go there when I need something. They're great! read more

Thank you to Petal Town for great service. My friend's father recently passed away and I needed to send flowers for his service which was held on a holiday weekend. I called Petal Town, and even though they were supposed to be closed that day, the owner was so nice and said he'd deliver the flowers for me anyway! Every other flower shop was closed that day, and I thank Petal Town for delivering a wonderful arrangement to my friend. read more
