My first time coming here and was met with a man named David who truly loves his work and offers genuine and kind service. He asked what I was looking for, and asked further questions to get my girlfriend's flowers just right. I watched him carefully select, trim, and place the flowers and talk about how he loves what he does and it's a rare form of customer service to find nowadays. Today was my second trip for my girlfriend's birthday, and upon arriving I found I'd left my wallet at home. I asked if they had tap (Apple Pay) by any chance and said I could drive back and grab my wallet and be back in 30 mins. He said no need, as he remembered me from my last visit and trusted id pay him back the next day. I what to thank the stall at Petals and Things for helping with the center piece for our Christmas dinner. On Friday we picked up the piece, after beginning to set up the table we quickly realized we had ordered one too small for the table. The service was the best I ever experienced ordering roses. The gentlemen named Scott who delivered the flowers went above and beyond by seeing it was raining, taking time to assess and being considerate, posting a nice note on my apartment door stating it was in the leasing office for pickup due to the cold, wind and rain. Then calling and informing me where the flowers were and they were delivered. This is service and he is the reason I will only use this store location. I've been to lots of florist shops, but this one is different, in a very good way. I'm impressed that I was treated with dignity and care. They took the idea that I had to get a simple and made it into something very special for my new friend and subsequently for me! Very disappointed in what we ended up with vs what was ordered. I know there are some issues with it matching exactly but this arrangement doesn't even come close. I called and talked through what was wanted and also paid extra to have it look more like the picture. I would not recommend this shop. No filler flowers at all.. some roses and a lilly thrown into a vase. read more

We stopped by Petal's and Things Florist to order my little brother a corsage for his prom date. The employee that helped us could not have been any more helpful or friendly; she asked the color of my brother's date's dress and went to work, throwing out flower options and showing us examples of different corsages she had made. We settled on white roses and orange carnations (for an orange dress) after a few minutes, and then decided to choose some of the pretty crystal corsage and bouquet inserts Petals offers. We originally chose a few crystal hearts but then spotted decorative wristlets (way better than the average rubber band corsage wristlet) and put the hearts down. Petals offers a few actual bracelets for sale (between $10-30) to make really unique and beautiful keepsake corsages out of. We selected one that had a color scheme that would complement the dress in question and the resulting corsage, which was picked up a few days later, was stunning. A grand total of $50 was spent making the corsage unique; so be prepared to spend if you want the jewels! read more

Ordered a particular arrangement for my friends mother's funeral. The arrangement was called violets & butterflies. When I got to the funeral home the flowers that were supposed to be violets & butterflies were a small plant with some awful purple dried Flowers sticking in it. There were no violets and no butterflies!!!!!! I know substitutions happen but for both? Really! I believe in this case the florist should have contacted me and told me they did not have either one. I bought this arrangement because my friend loves purple and butterflies. I guess the dried purple flowers were the substitution? I contacted the florist after the funeral and told them how disappointed I was about the arrangement. The arrangement that looked like it cost $10 Cost me almost $60. We ordered a funeral arrangement for my brother that had passed away. What we received and what was shown online was totally different. It was supposed to be a standing spray with a lot of red roses. What we got was a rose here and there, very sparse looking. We were already saddened with our grief, then to have this happen was unbelievable. When I came to talk to the owner about it, she was not accommodating at all. She tried putting the blame on us, saying that the price that's quoted online varies by area and we should have known to ask. This florist was overpriced and unprofessional. This florist's service and quality are horrible. I flowers for my wife this week on their website and asked that Petals & Things deliver them to surprise her. She and I could not have been more disappointed as at least a third of the bouquet looked dead and wilted. When you pay good money for flowers for a special occasion, you expect the florist to help make an impression when the flowers are delivered. Ordered a specific corsage for my son's prom date. He picked it up and paid a higher price than expected which was $21. I requested one for $12, the same as his brother ordered and paid for. When I called to question it, they said he paid the correct price for what he received. There was no offer to reimburse him due to their apparent error.
