I called them 2 days before Mother's Day to order an assortment of plants to be delivered to my mum in St Catharines. The lady on the phone sounded like she had better things to do and my business didn't matter at all. She was impatient with me when I took less than 15 seconds to grab my credit card and when I asked her why she was so rude, she had the audacity to say - "Well I don't know why you didn't have your credit card out to begin with". I placed the order nonetheless. Later found out that my credit card was charged for $28 more than stipulated on the website. I called them all day - phone was unavailable. When I finally got in touch, the same curt lady came to the phone and said - " I would assume you knew it's tax and the delivery fee." The business is IN St Catharines - same small town as my mum's residence, $28 in tax and delivery?!! Also, why was I not made aware of this on our initial phone conversation? Not to mention that no receipt or proof of purchase was emailed to me. By now I was fuming and gave her a piece of my mind. The only saving grace to this unpleasant experience, was that my mum liked the plants. But I would never go through this ordeal with them again. You absolutely cannot be in the floral business and bark at customers - I can't imagine someone calling to order flowers for a somber occasion and having to deal with this lady's "I'm so busy, what do you want" tone. No paying customer should ever have to be treated like they're doing the business owner a favour.

The market makes gorgeous flower arrangements - whether for seasonal flower urns or special occasions. More recently, I ordered a couple of large arrangements for a Celebration of Life. They had an Asian look and feel to them (even though they are categorized under European) - Ascending Grace and Orchids in Bloom. They were truly unique and received several compliments. Most of the flowers also lasted longer than a week, except for a few bunches of baby roses in the Orchid arrangement. This Orchid arrangement also had fern-like plants wrapped around the top vine which made it messy when handling or sitting on a table, since the leaves fell apart easily. Overall, quality and value for money was good and I wouldn't hesitate ordering from them again. I might ask that they don't add ferns or baby roses in the future, since they don't seem to hold up well.

Half garden, half restaurant -- an interesting dining experience for sure! Food is decent, both classics (sandwiches, salads, soups) and cafe/coffee items. The salads are standouts, with some of the juiciest, crispiest lettuce that we've ever had, and wonderful flavours. Service is very prompt and friendly, but it can take a while to get seated -- it's quite busy. Price is a bit on the high side, but it's a unique experience; a stroll to look at the plants is a fantastic after-lunch activity.
