My husband has ordered flowers from here for years, because he was living in California and I was in St. Catharines, and ordering online requires no work with timezones.
Now I'm that living in California, I wanted to have flowers delivered to both my mom and grandmother for Mother's Day, so I ordered them the day before and selected Mother's Day for delivery.
Since the timezones are off, I called the shop at 4pm EST to see if the delivery had made it out on time, as the shop closes an hour from then and I wanted to call my grandmother to wish her a Happy Mother's Day (she knew I was sending my mom flowers and was expecting them, but none for herself).
All I have to say is 'wow'. I was met with a snotty employee who couldn't even answer a simple 'how are you doing today?' without sounding like it was a chore. I gave her the address and told her there were two deliveries for the same house, and she asked me what time I had ordered them. I had no idea, as I did the order inbetween customers at my job the day before and the store sends you absolutely no confirmation of your order, no receipt, nothing.
She slams the phone down to find my orders and picks up another line, only to sound like the sun shines out her ass for the person on the other line - perfectly pleasant with all the time in the world.
Finally she finds ONE of my orders (never mentioned the second), and it's not even finished being made up! Absolutely no mention of when the order might be done, if they'll BOTH make it out tonight, nothing of the sort.
I visited a florist just outside where I work this morning for a last minute arrangement and was met with more than enough staff to run this busy day, who all seemed completely stress-free and were an absolute delight to work with from start to finish. Stephanie's should take a page out of their book, or anyone else's when it comes to customer service. Note to Stephanie's: It's not hard!
**Update**
I get a call from my grandmother thanking her for her flowers, and my mom's are no where to be found. They were supposed to be delivered to the same house, and now my mother is heading home after a nice dinner with my grandparents (and waiting for two hours) because she can't just wait around for the florist to run their business with a little bit of sense.
