Great local mail depot that I have used several times for notary services over the years. While there is a bit to shop around for, you usually come to drop off your mail and or packages for most. The added touch of a notary makes it an easy one stop shop vs dealing with other large competitors where it becomes somewhat of a chore to deal with. No one is better at doing business than Maureen. I have used the Mail Depot for all my mailings and never had a problem until my recent slip up. When i arrived today to find out what happened, there was my misaddressed package waiting for me and we sent it off quickly to the correct address. Had this been USPS, my precious box would be sitting on some stoop in the East. I was researching options for business mail forwarding after my favorite office sharing/mailbox service had to close because of Covid. Petaluma Mail Depot doesn't have a website, so you have to call to get information on their services. I called in and had 3 simple questions - how much it would cost, would I have 24x7 mailbox access, and would I be notified when new mail came in. I can only presume it was the owner who answered, after reading many of the Yelp reviews that similarly describe her rudeness. I asked her the price which she told me, then after I asked how access to the mailboxes worked she goes "Only some people get exterior access. Is that all? (no pause to wait for my reply) Thanks for calling" and was about to hang up. I was like "uh, wait what? I had one or two more quick questions" and she goes "well I have a customer standing here, I'm done answering your questions", and hung up. The whole conversation was less than 30 seconds (it wasn't like I was asking a million questions or monopolizing her time). She could have easily asked to put me on hold while she worked with the person at her counter, which I would have been totally fine with. But no, she rudely dismissed me and hung up. I have never had such an unprofessional encounter with a local business in my life. read more

I heard that notaries help clients sign besides just stamping the documents. The woman who seemed to be the owner or in charge was the rudest person I have met in Petaluma since I moved here three months ago. I had my one year old son with me since my husband is out to sea on duty and she did nothing but give me dirty looks the whole time I was in there. I WILL NEVER return to this place even though it seemed convenient. I am pregnant and also desperately needed to get the papers signed to sell a house on the east coast. I was surprised how rude she was to me for no apparent reason. My son was behanving perfectly as I was in tears with my real estate agent in frustration because no one would help me figure out how to sign. It was also $10 dollars a page to notarize which is an outrageous price now that I know banks and realty companies do it for free. read more

This is such a nice convenience and means I don't have to stand in line at UPS or Federal Express or even the Post Office. Maureen is friendly, fun and very efficient. Having recently moved from Seattle to Petaluma, I've had to do a lot of annoying moving-related paperwork, faxing, mailing, etc. This was not made any easier by the fact that I was unfamiliar with the area and had left my old printer behind. Luckily, I found the Mail Depot - it's been a lifesaver! I've used it to print documents from a flash drive, make copies, buy stamps and envelopes, mail stuff, send and receive faxes...it seems like every time I've needed something, the Mail Depot has come through.
