NEVER use this place for dog grooming. The entitled little brats who work there think that they're brain surgeons and are selfish, rigid, and rude. I've been using this Petco for a year, but I arrived 4 minutes late to my dog grooming appointment. There was nobody in the dog grooming area or the rest of the store, for that matter. After knocking and waiting I wandered around until I found a "worgker" who went to fetch the groomer. She eventually arrived and blithely informed me that I was 15 min late and she couldn't take my dog. Sure, "NOW" i was 15 min late but the bulk of that time was waiting at the grooming door and walking around trying to find somebody who worked there. She said there was no time but I pointed out that my dog is 10lbs and probably a fraction of the time they normally alot to appointments would be enough. She said 'no' but she was clearly more interested in sitting down with her lunch than her client. Here's the kicker: she offered to re-schedule me but I said "why would I ever want to work with you again?" at which point she shrugged, gave me the finger, and walked back to grooming to eat the bowl of whatever green-haired tatted millenials eat. I will never go back again. Just notice how many 1-star reviews here relate to grooming. Hire crappy workers, you lose customers. Period. read more

After the usual place I buy dog food was out, I found what I needed at Petco. So I placed an online order for store pickup after checking that they had it in stock. I also signed up for text messages to update my order status. In the morning I had received a text stating my order was cancelled. But my email confirmed the order. After calling the store to confirm they fulfilled it, I proceeded to pick it up. I've never shopped here, as it's about 15 miles from me. So I decided to look around. I also found the dog food I had ordered online, with the store price being lower. Umm, not happy about that! But they do have a wide variety of pet foods and supplies, as well as live animals. I saw a ferret for the first time! They also had Guiana pigs, and several other small animals. But they were busy cleaning their cages, so I just got a glimpse of the ones closest to me. read more

First time going in to buy my dog's food. I am out of town and my pups needed more food. I walked in with my brother and his fiancé, walked to the back and were looking at different recipes. My dogs eat dehydrated fish from The Honest Kitchen. I was explaining the benefits to my brother and a nice gentleman approached us offering help. He had taken a course on dog nutrition. He ended up being the manager. Great service; great information shared and saved us quite some money read more

Animals kept in horrible conditions. Fish tanks were dirty with dead fish. Cat adoption area filthy as if it never gets cleaned. Beds disgusting. Poor animal care. Would never support this place after seeing animal conditions. read more

Very sad! Over half the betas were dead or dying. Stop supporting factory farm breeding business. Betas are very smart and require at least a 1 gallon tank. read more

My dog Koko has been getting groomed since she was a puppy she is now 3 years old. She is a aussie-doodle mini. I moved to Catoosa about a year ago and changed her grooming location to the Catoosa store and it has been HELL to say the least. They lack knowledge on how to groom dogs as I asked for a "teddy bear cut" and they literally shaved my dog face and all. I gave them another chance and they shaved my dogs body and left the rest the same saying "she was bitting them" (she is the most mello dog so this was shocking to me) I went and picked her up and my dog literally threw up all day because of the stress they put her through. I called (I had to call 3 times before my call was answered) to ask who groomed her and that I was a little shocked at what they said she was doing and the stores Lead groomer, who sounded very young and had a lack of knowledge, told me I needed to take my dog somewhere they can sedate her because she is too much for them to handle ( Payton was the person who could not handle my dog and I'm pretty sure my dog was only her 2nd dog she has groomed ever) I'm in disbelief and I tried to tell this Lead groomer that I feel my dog was mis handled as she is not an aggressive dog and she literally hung up on me and refused to give me her name. I pay for vital care and have been a member sense 2019. I will be canceling my membership asap and I would recommend anyone and everyone to never take your dog to get groomed at this store unless you want your dog to be traumatized and then blamed for their lack of knowledge. read more

Always helpful and kind! I usually have to buy specific cat food online and either picked up at the store or delivered because they don't keep enough readily available on the shelf. But we love to visit the pets for adoption. They are sometimes short handed, but it's a pet store. You really can't gauge from day to day how busy it will be . read more

Poor management - professionalism is lacking. Unfriendly and I would even say snide to customers. They are apparently having prolonged issues with maintaining stable groomers. The managers apparently have to step in often to groom and it isn't their forte. So, when you see stress from the groomer/manager acting-as-groomer, you can only imagine what kind of strain your pet will have to endure. It's just not a good human environment. Which means you should be aware as a pet owner and make educated decisions for the sake of your pet. read more

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE SERVICE! They had certain pet clothes on a 50% off rack but refused to honor it because they were not a part of the sale. When we asked why he repeated, "not part of the sale" only louder and ruder. Talked to a manager and the manager also could not explain why they were not 50% but just knew they were not. Both times, the manager and customer service person (if you can call them that) were incredibly rude and a bit irate. read more

Poorly managed and poorly trained groomers. My dog has been on a grooming schedule with a groomer(s) for years now. I scheduled an appointment with PetCo in Catoosa since my usual grooming location was booked. This was a huge mistake. When I arrived, I had to wait an unacceptable amount of time for a groomer. The groomer seemed to be very inexperienced and called me an hour later stating, "your dog is too nervous, and we are not going to groomer her today." I picked my dog up and went directly to another groomer at Shaggle Waggle who completed the grooming without any problems. I truly believe that the groomer at PetCo didn't want to perform that grooming and was inexperienced at grooming animals (which may have been the source of my dog's "nervousness"). I believe an "overly nervous" behavior is highly unlikely for a dog who is groomed numerous times per year for the last three years. read more

Drove over 30 minutes to Petco Catoosa as it's the only pet store with feeder food near me. I called ahead of time to ask if they had feeder fish and was told the tank was failing and that there were about 3 dozen fish still alive. This happens often there which is why I called ahead. Get there and there are like 5 fish still half alive. Fine, I go to get some feeder bugs. All of the crickets and small roaches were dead and dried up. They only had small crickets. The store employee who helped me told me she wouldn't charge me because she knows me and knows I have large reptiles and she could see my frustration. I grab a jar of two large dubia roaches that were barely alive and a container of 50 newly born superworms still not big enough to feed my pets. Got to the counter to get rang up by the store manager who tells me she still has to charge me for the small crickets. So, I say no thank you that I wouldn't be getting them at all if it wasn't for the fact that everything is dead. She tells me $27 for the worms and like 5 cans of $1.19 cat food. I ask her how much the roaches are as there was no tag on the shelf and she tells me $9.99 for TWO roaches. Literally over $5 for a roach. Now, I know she doesn't price the items out, but, by this point she should have offered me a discount or a discounted rain check, something to help ease the pain and nothing. This is the worst customer service and waste of time. Literally she the most ambivalent and oblivious and snooty store manager I have ever encountered. Do not buy your feeder food here. You will be better off ordering them all cheaper from Amazon. read more

I recently had our French Bulldog puppy go through the Puppy 1 training class and Allyson was great! He's definitely improved his manners and behavior. She was very kind and patient with us and gave us great tips to use at home and continue improving. We will definitely continue on with the Puppy 2 course after a few more weeks of perfecting our Sit, Lay down, leash training, Spin, Stay and Socializing with other dogs. Thanks Allyson! read more

Since moving to this location I have been to this store 3 times. The first time was wonderful we were helped and greeted. The second time I was waiting in aquatics for 15 mins and walked up to the front to ask for help. The two employee ladies at the front were laughing and talk to each other so I asked if one of them could help me. The third time I visited this store, I had been passed up by many employees, I got there at 1:25 and asked 2 employees for help and they said they would be right back and never returned. So, I walked around and found more employees. Around 2:10 I finally received help. I asked if they were short staffed and told her how long I had been waiting. She did not apologize, she said all of the employees are busy arranging the new dog food area. I understand that things need to be done in the store, but if you have a paying customer that needs help I believe they should have the top priority. The customer service is lacking in this facility. read more
