Employees were awesome. Manager not so much. Employees acted like they were intimidated by this daytime manager.

Will never go to Petco for anything. I took my husky in for grooming and a nail trim. I get a call an hour later saying I had to pick her up because she tried to bite them when they were getting her out of the kennel. i told them at the beginning she has separation anxiety and she might nip. she has never bitten anyone and she is almost 5 years old. We are new to this area and wanted to find a reliable pet groomer with nice people. Petco is not it. If you are afraid of dogs, you should not be working there! read more

Per places have many issues like not informing people of the proper space and items needed for animals. But this place is okay. I have gotten many fish from here and they all are healthy and alive. It would be nice for these animals to have better conditions. Hamsters should have at least 6-12 inches of bedding in there enclosure. so that poor hammy is probably not so happy. I used the app to set a bath and groom for my dog for 3/2 only to get confirmation for bath only. called the store and the manager told me he would not have groomer until 3/9 and scheduled me for my services that day. I called 3/8 to confirm and was told I would be called back in 2 minutes by the manager. nobody called back so an hour later I called back to be told first I had no appointment and then it was bath only because they don't have a groomer in because it was her birthday tomorrow. I asked for the manager to call me back and two hours later I had to call them again. the manager got on the phone screamed at me that I had yelled at his employee, which I never did and was hung up on. very unprofessional and will never go there again! read more

I have a St. Bernard that I have tried to groom and bathe myself. Needless to say I was losing ground with his upkeep. I hesitated to pay the $85 to bathe, groom and debulk his fur but I will never hesitate again. I couldn't believe how fantastic he looks. I have never seen him look so clean and smell so good. They were able to remove a massive amount of undercoat which Will give my Vacumn a much needed rest. read more

I bought their hamster food yesterday and it looked like decent quality. The bag says it has plenty of nutrients which is always important when shopping for hamster food. I got back to my house and my hamster seemed to enjoy it. It's a pretTy good texture- crunchy but not too rough. It smells alright- not the best but better than most other brands. But it definitely has the best taste out of the other brands that we tried over the years. It's definitely my favorite snack. Its a good snack for after you workout. I also like to have some right after I wake up. It fuels my energy. My favorite snack. Solid 10/10 read more

I wish i could give this -6 stars. this place is a joke! i do not recommend. i bought a baby guinea pig about two weeks ago and not only was the lady very fricken rude, she said "she's perfectly healthy" when she wasn't. she was very very deathly skinny and very tiny, she was three times smaller than what she should've been!! i bought her and the cashier was very nice! she said she had two guinea pigs of her own and she told us what they usually like to eat (i already knew this because my sister has a guinea pig too). when i got home i put her in a 10 gallon fish tank because her cage was coming the next day. she fit perfectly in my hand and the tank looked so big compared to her. when i let her explore her tank a bit i took her down stairs to hold her. she suckled SUCKLED on my hand!! she didn't know what water was! i has to show her!! she has horrible diarrhea, didn't know how to eat or drink. she was WAY too young to be removed from her mother, she still has her umbilical cord!!! i looked up reviews on petco and saw that they are awful this is a common problem. i am not only horribly mad but i am so sorry for these poor animals. Very helpful. Competitive prices. Lots of variety. Only weird thing is how to get a shopping cart off the sidewalk and to the car. Other than that little quirky bump it is a very nice experience for purchasing pet supplies. Be sure to sign up and save money. It makes a huge difference. read more

I owned mice before and the mice from here seem like they where milled and at the time seem scared of humans and the clerk grabbed them and swung them around by the tail (witch hurts and scares them) and it took me a long time to earn the little guy's trust and was apt to biting and there was a dead mouse in a freshly cleaned tank so somethings wrong there; There stuff was (and still is) expensive to say the least and for seemingly overpriced products that are common and the employees don't seem to know what the heck they are talking abought when it comes to it long story short git your Mice and Rats else-where,... and just as a side note I did try to call them to see if there was something more I could be doing even though I've been working with mice/rats for 20 years and a card caring member of PETA for 25 years eating vegan my hole life and knowing pretty much what's going on still there's always more I could lern to be placed on hold and forgotten about for some time I am a busy person and do have work that needs done, I barely have time for my 15 minuet breaks I can't sit on hold for half an hour to forty five minuets while someone gets to the phone I don't mean to get anyone in to bad of trouble IDK I just don't much care to be spoken down to and um well as if I where IDK making it up (or that's how it seemed to me), but I will give them some credit they did call me to try an make it right and if I manage to work it out and get another mouse/rat from them it would come just in time to be my next emotional support animal here's hoping its a nice one read more

We just got a new Rat Terrier puppy and we have been going to Petco ever since we got her.. We love the service and especially the store manager Christina Plumley.. Christina is awesome.. We where like new parents with a newborn and she was so caring to our needs.. Every time we go Christina is there and you can tell she loves what she does.. I was checking online for products available. I noted that the items i wanted we available for in store pick up in one hour. The next day we went to Petco to get the things i wanted(cat toys). The Da Bird toy was shown on the website as available in store, I have bought it there before, when we went there we were so disappointed. The toy section was about 6 feet long, way to small. In the last year the space for cat toys have gone down at least 25%. I asked a worker if they had Da Bird, she looked and did not even know what I was talking about. I showed her a similar toy and she that was the only one they had. I told her about the web site saying it was available. She replied "well we only have a limited amount of shelf space". I asked again why it was shown as in store online--she was clueless. If you want anything for your dog 75% of the store is dedicated to dogs. Also, their fish always die. We won't be giving them business again. I expected more based on my prior visits. read more

petco is a fucking joke i bought a baby guinea about a week ago and she had a broken leg and a cough and matted eyes i had called the next day and told them about it they said they would charge me to bring her and that it was just a cold at the time i was like ok never owned one before so very new to me the next week she wasnt getting better and stopped walking on her leg all together called back and asked what to do bring her in we will give u a refund i didnt want a refund me and my daughter loved her and wanted her so they said they would have her looked and and i could have her back as soon as she got better so i said ok the next day i called to check on her and the bitch started yelling at me saying it was my fault it was sick and that i broke its leg i began to cry and she said i was not getting her back so later i called the manager and explained what happened she said that she wasnt trying to be rude just worried about the animal and i said and im not i would never in my life hurt an animal and she promised me i would get her back as soon as she was ok so today i went in there to get food for my other animals and asked about her the bitch walked up and said listen we will not give her back to you nor will we ever alow u to buy an aniaml from our store i got pissed asked for my money back got to my car and began to cry i loved that guinea pig and want her back read more
