This was my third pet store stop while looking for Stella and chewy kitten food which I found strange that the other two pet stores in Oak Creek didn't carry. I asked one store why they didn't stock it and I was told that it's a cooperate store and SC is a local company made right in Oak Creek so the can't offer it, makes no sense to me when it's made blocks away. I could not find SC kitten food so I asked the young woman where it is, it's in a side isle display out side of the cat food area but she took me to it. Wr asked for help with flea control. No one came. There might have been 4 customers in the store. There defiantly were 5 employees. We took 5 products to the counter. Only one person knew about the product and she barked that there were were two customers in front of me and she would get to us when she could and said "I'm only one person!" think she was the manager. My sister took her puppy to get groomed there and they did a awful job her face is all Chopped up. They said she had fleas which we know she doesn't. We will never come back there. My usual groomer is on vacation so I took a chance and went to Petco big mistake Rebecca J butchered my dog shaved her bottom like a landing strip cut off half her mustache (only on one side) the cut is completely uneven and nails are to long all that for $50 no thank you. went in there to get my dogs 3rd shot which was supposed to be free with the special they had going on and still wanted me to pay 55 dollars for something that was supposed to be paid for already. The doctor in, I believe her name was Donna Lohman was very rude and unprofessional and unknowing of what shot he was even supposed to receive, even after looking over the paperwork and reciept I had to provide. read more

Took our puppy in for grooming including nail buffing. What we got back is a puppy with nails that were shorter and sharper. I mean those nails can cut through skin. Literally, when she got home and jumped up to greet me, I ended up with scars on my arms and legs! Do not have your dogs groomed there! read more

I went to Petco in Highland to take my dog for her rabies shot. I called at 2pm and they said they were open from 3-5pm for the clinic. I arrived at 4pm and they turned us away saying the line was too long and they couldn't help us because it was going to be after 5 when they were able to finish all the pets. Being in retail for the last 10 years, I know it's not policy to turn away business before 5. If customer are there, you assist them. We asked to speak to the store manager because it wasn't right and he said "sorry come back next Sunday" .... really? Maybe before they turn away business they should look up your account and see how much money you have spent there. Really disappointed and never going back. read more

Prices are ridiculous! This store is a rip off. Asked if they honor Chewy. Com prices. Said No. Pet supply plus will honor Chewy's prices. You just have to show them the price on your phone. Only went cause I forgot to order even though Chewy delivers in 2 days. They won't be around for long with these prices compared to on line shopping. read more

It's unfortunate that the employee I spoke to in grooming this morning is so unhappy and unhelpful. I would not want her grooming my dogs with such a miserable attitude. I have taken my dogs here before for grooming and fortunately had a great experience, obviously I did not speak to the same person. As of 5/20/20, this was my first time going into a Petco, yet I have been in a pet shop before. Once me and my guy friend walked in the door, he went over to the tall, brown head guy and asked if there were any snakes in the building(since I am afraid of snakes). He replied with "NO SNAKES". We are not the type of people to get mad based on something so little like that. Therefore, we went over to the "reptile" section to find the gecko I wanted. When I picked her, my guy friend went over and asked a short woman with long, brown hair to help us with getting her. She told him that she was going to find someone to assist us. Then, a taller woman with pink hair and glasses, got my gecko out. We asked questions about her living conditions. On the other hand, I felt like my questions were getting partially answered, especially because the woman keep walking off and moving while answering them. We gathered everything she said we would need(since we never had a reptile ourselves), and went to the cashier where the tall guy was. I asked him a question about the gecko, after filling out the paperwork. He replied with "I don't know". At that moment, me and my friend realized that we weren't getting the treatment we excepted to have, as costumers. Overall, I was excited about my new pet, and we were ready carry on about our day. It was just very unfortunate that I didn't get to ask all of the questions I needed to be answered. Hopefully, I have a better experience next time. read more

Typically when you need somebody at this store you have to hunt them down, outside of the cashier. I can usually deal with that but my last experience with them is driving me to Pet Smart for my sole source of supplies. On 2/15/16 I bought two 30count bags of medium crickets for my lizards. I bought the pre-bagged ones because anytime I ask for crickets they just hand me those instead of getting "fresh" ones. I left them in the bags over night with cricket food as I always do; these are classroom pets. I placed them in their container at 7:15 all alive and hopping. By noon that same day 40 of them had died producing a fowl odor. I called the store and was informed very rudely that the crickets can only handle 10hrs of being in the bag, despite employees of this store telling me that they will occasionally leave them in the bags over night and they are fine. This woman did not offer any compensation or compassion. I even made a comment about just being out of the money and she replied "yes you are". read more

I took my Samoyed and Keeshond there today and they completely messed up for the grooming. I'm saying that lightly so they don't ban me for inappropriate language. The groomer SHAVED my samoyed. Like i didn't even want a cut at all. But they insisted a small trim. I wanted to focus on the nails and bathing. Not only did she shave my samoyed. She shaved him HORRIBLY. Like it's all uneven and there's tufts. A samoyed is super friendly but today he stayed in the corner and growled and cried all day. He was just whimpering. Every time my Keeshond went near him he growled at him and bared his teeth. Like we had to get a jacket for him because he's basically naked in 20 degree weather. That's just my samoyed. My Keeshond however, did not get trimmed at all. He was the only dog i wanted his fur trimmed and he didn't even get that. He didn't get his nails or fur trimmed. They bathed and "brushed" him. There were tufts everywhere, it looked so ugly. My sister had to fix it and brush him herself when we got home. My dogs were raised together and are very co-dependent but i have to separate them now. I don't know if she was new or not, but can you please train your groomers before you let them ruin everything, thanks. read more

This review is about the Vaccine clinic there on Sundays not the store itself. The Love My Pet clinic Veternarian was not very helpful at all when I went there to ask a question about what food to feed my dying cat on his last fews days to help build him up. Dr. Lohman would not even take the time to answer my question because I wasn't there with my animal to get him vaccines. The Vet tech offered me to stick around and once the Vet got there she would answer my question. Once the Vet arrived she would not answer my question due to me not having the animal actually there and the line being too long. When I wrote the Love My Pets they actually sided with the Vet. I felt since I was there to buy any food she would advice it would have been to their advantage. Needless to say she was not very compassionate in her tone of voice or apologetic toward me for being too busy. I shop there all the time and told the manager about my experience and she was very helpful in suggesting a good supplement Catsure for my cat. I will continue to shop there, but I would NEVER bring my animals to Dr. Lohman at the clinic to get my animals vaccines. read more
