They have good product but they don't take care of there reptiles. Bearded dragons look tired and sluggish and one has shed still on. The whole reptile area in general needs better care. They take good care of the fish. Don't have the bulbs I need per usual. Don't get reptiles here if u can avoid it. The staff here is not knowledgeable about the animals they are selling. Please do your own research before purchasing any animal! I was disappointed to see the reptiles being kept in such mediocre habitats. For example, the iguana babies were housed with dry wood chips and the humidity in the tank was all the way down at 30%! Poor babies. As for the store itself, it was clean and organized. The groomers seemed competent. They had plenty of items in stock, despite the COVID shortages many places are still facing. read more

I HAVE to brag on the grooming dept at Petco. Took my golden doodle in for an appointment this morning at 9:30, I was a little late but after filling out paperwork etc. they took him back about 9:55. At 11:55 I received a call that he was ready. I have NEVER been as impressed with the job anyone has done on him before. He got a special shampoo & conditioner, his nails trimmed & buffed, ears cleaned & trimmed, anal glands milked, teeth brushed, paw balm, & a 15 minute brush out for $72. I would HIGHLY recommend Phillip over any other joint in West Texas, he was friendly & explained everything thoroughly. My pup has NEVER smelt this good in his entire life! read more

I enrolled my dog in Petsmart training, and while my results were good, I wonder if I should've inquired here. So often I find myself running to Petco because I don't enjoy the selection elsewhere. They have such cute collars etc, great treat and food varieties, and their grooming salon is very helpful. I've never groomed my standard poodle there, but when inquiring about it, the lady at the desk helped me find what brushes I needed for my Romeo since he had gotten sticker burrs in his hair. Then, she even remembered me and showed me how to use them. Overall super helpful! read more

Petco has a different selection than Petsmart does, a lot more cute type bowls and such. We take our dogs here and they love all the attention they get from the staff and even other customers. Our dog Dakota loves to go look at the ferrets and Gaines pigs lol. Love this store. And there is an little potty area outside before you walk in and an emergency potty cleanup stations through the store. read more

We purchased Puppy Training over a month ago at the price of $119.00. At that time we were told that the trainer would contact us. We have heard nothing from anyone. When I called the store the manage on duty said that Phil said that every one for training was contacted. To wrap this up. The management did not follow up, there is a problem with training on customer service and professionalism. read more

I don't usually write a review but in this case I feel it's necessary. I took my German Shepperd for a deshedding bath this past week. The groomer said 1 1/2 hours but was a little behind for our 4 pm appointment so I asked if they would call when she was ready, I was assured they would call and verified the number. So I waited. By 8:45 I decided to go and see what was taking so long. When I arrived the groomer had already left at 8. When I inquired why I wasn't called and that my dog was still there no one seem to know. So the night manager walked with me to the grooming area and there in a kennel with all the lights out sat my poor shepherd and no one knew she was there. My complaint is even when this was discovered there was a general lack of concern and no one apologized. Had I not gone to check ,my poor dog would have been locked up in a small kennel all night with no food or water. I find this unacceptable. Again no one seemed concerned that she had been left in the dark with the door shut . No I won't be using them again read more
