Finally my hubby said how much for grooming. She got a price off the computer or whatever she was looking at. Never asked if we'd like to book an appointment. I said we'll I guess we'll go. Still no response. This is not an environment I would leave my little precious toy poodle at. I will never go back. I have told anyone who would listen this mini saga. read more

I do not recommend the training classes. When I signed up for classes, it was stated on the website and the documents that each class was an hour long. However, it usually ended 10 minutes early. The second last lesson lasted less than 45 minutes, and the last lesson was only half an hour. I expected more to be covered in each lesson, but not much was done every time. I feel that the material covered in the 6-week course could be done in probably less than three weeks. read more

Made an awesome plant aquarium for my beta! Every plant I bought looks great and are doing well! I really love the 3 gallon tank, it has its own water pump built in and the lights are good. The plants I have in the tank are 1 El Niño fern, 1 windelow Java fern, 1 narrow leaf fern, 1 anubias nana, 1 cardinalis, 2 miniature dwarf hair grass, 2 repens, and 2 cardinal plants. I also got the plant Gravel there as well. Only thing that didn't come from petsmart was my beta ordered him online. read more

Pull up after 90 mile drive, shows open until 9 pm, recording days 9 pm. Employee yells from door at 5:58....we're closed!!! We're closed!' They decided to close at6 today. 180 mile round trip for mice down the drain because online and recording says 9 pm!!! Called..:.: nope, I'm sitting in the parking lot. Refused service. The groomers said they couldn't bathe and groom my corgi because it would probably be too stressful for her. My dog was shaking and growling because she was scared. I totally understand wanting to avoid being bitten by a mean dog, but the groomer made no attempt to even try and groom her. I just assumed that easing a dog's nerves was a part of their profession. I should say that there are some great employees in the retail section. read more

Do not recommend. This is a long one..I usually go to Petsmart in Midland but they were booked out for a couple weeks. I dropped my dog off at 11:30am. I waited all day for the automatic text they send when they're done. Nothing. Called around 4:45pm and an employee said they've been trying to call me. She verified my number and apologized because they had been calling the wrong number. Honestly she was super nice so I'm thankful for that. However an employee in the background yelled "She's been done since ___!" I thought I heard 1pm, not sure. Either way- that was not appreciated. I would have picked up my dog as soon as she was done! When I took my dog home I noticed her eye was bloodshot. I didn't notice in the store because I really just wanted to get my dog OUT of there. Upon researching it seems like a blood vessel popped. This usually happens when a dog is under physical attack. Not sure what happened at Petsmart..but I will definitely not be back. Not happy! read more

I do recommend this Petsmart. My Romeo attended three courses in puppy training and now he is the perfect dog. It really works, and seeing his results, my whole family wants to send their dogs to puppy school as well. Bianca and Eric are amazing. Now for grooming, honestly, I don't take Romeo there anymore. He's a standard poodle, and for a full groom there I paid almost $100. Then I compared to another groomer when I went to San Antonio (these prices apply to all locations). Anyway, I wanted just Romeo's feet, face, and sanitary areas done. Petsmart said it would count as a full grooming (once again $90-$100 due to his breed and size). Meanwhile, I also called and took him to this other location called the Pink Poodle in San Antonio who special in poodle grooming. I had waaaaay better results than with Petsmart and for only $60 with a cute bandana! Another thing about Petsmart grooming, is anytime I take him, his haircut always looks a little funky, and I just wait for him to grow more hair again since it grows so fast. That wasn't the case with this last groomer. So to conclude, amazing training! Meh groomers. read more

My experience at Petsmart was horrible they're not a safe place to send your dogs for grooming ,so I decided to try them one last time but I brought my own shampoo for my dog and decided to stay and wait on my dog the lady with the ring in her nose was very disturbed by me saying that I was going to wait she gave so much attitude and even more agitated when I handed her the shampoo for my dog. They're only nice to the animals most of them when in family presence after family leaves they're not,so be very careful leaving your pets in there care for grooming they are rough with the animals I sat there and observe for myself maybe not all of them but there are a few of them there ,Especially the young lady with the ring in her nose. I would encourage the families who leave their pets there for grooming to just sit in on occasion to protect your pets. read more

Store isn't that big, I prefer the Petsmart it Midland. I took my dog to get her nails clipped and anal glans expressed. They brought her back to me and her nails were cut but not short, and they were rough. Also they told me they couldn't do the anal gland expressing because my dogs "butt is weird" not really an explanation but they just said go to my vet and do it. If you need anything done in grooming, or want more choices I suggest the Petsmart in midland. They also have dogs available for adoption 7 days a week (in midland only) read more

Ok ok ok. We get it people. This store aint as big as the rich and all mighty Gods of Midland store is. Big deal. We are not in competition with the snooty jack wagons of Midland. First of all lets be blunt. All you midland fans should keep your butts in midland. If you dont like Odessa stores then dont shop them. Now on to the actual review. This store has all the required supplies of an average american pet owner. We shop this store exclusively due to the fact they carry Authority dog food. This is a very good food. I have never been disappointed in the service i recieved at this location. They are knowledgeable and friendly along with HELPFUL. What more can you ask for. I cannot say anything about the grooming side since all of my fur babies have short hair and dont require elaborate grooming. Besides that our babies would eat most of the food in the store and try to hi jack the food supply trucks. Lol. Anyways this store is better than midlands store mainly because it is in a town of good people who have not forgotten where they come from or that they are the same as the customers ......human. read more

We went and adopted a German Shepherd from the pound today and shortly after we went to PetSmart to get all of the supplies that we need for the dog. Upon arrival, we made contact with staff who gave us a coupon book for adopting a dog. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Prices were a bit high, but that is expected in any kind of pet store. For the most part this has been one of my most pleasant experiences in a PetSmart. read more

We went in petsmart in Odessa today and was looking at the cats they have up for adoption. My husband went to touch the door where a older lady working in the adoption room was she yelled "No" to my husband. He says "can I not look at the cat in the corner" she says not unless your adopting one. Well we don't know if we were going to adopt it unless we can see it. She was very rude treating my 37 year old husband like a child. She says "well they don't like anyone in here that's not going to adopt" so because we had 2 children with us did we "look" like we weren't going to adopt. I told this lady she was very rude. We left right away! We have adopted from petsmart in midland no problem and no judgment from a employee!!! As a matter of fact most our animals are adopted and we have 2 children who are adopted... we believe in adoption!!!! We will never return to petsmart again Petco it is! read more

The grooming department is a joke! I never usually take the time to write reviews but I made a yelp account just to write about how horrible their service was. First of all when I went in there to drop my dog off I could tell the lady knew very little about dog grooming. Every time I asked a question she would have to go to the other lady for answers. When she calls to tell me my dog is ready she said she wasn't able to cut his hair because he would bite at her. (My dog is a little 10 Ib white dog that is really sweet towards people) I was surprised and apologized. And I thought well maybe they will take off some the total price since his hair wasn't cut at all. Nope she added a fee for him being hard to handle. My bill turned out to be $80 for my little dog!!! When I went to pick him up he looked almost exactly the same as when I left. I think even the lady could tell me and my husband was trying to figure out what all they done to him because he looked the same. She told us she bathed him and brushed him out really good. So we left. I wish now I would have asked for some sort of refund. When we got home I realized she didn't even comb his hair out very well on his back legs. My husband said he looks better when I bathe and brush him then when petsmart did. I told our friends about our experience and I've had 4 people tell me the same thing. They took their dogs there and it was horrible. I just wish I knew about it before I wasted 80 bucks on nothing. I won't be going back. read more

I've been going here for awhile for pet products and grooming, the store is ok, that's why I gave them 2 stars, but the grooming is bad...I took my dog here several times and they always take a long time. On top of it they didn't finish grooming the last time I took him here and it took 6 hrs. Today I went into the store and the girls, whom I never seen in the store, was giving me attitude. The groomers at this place are too impatient and rude. They didn't even know my dogs name and they can't give treats. How can you get a dog to cooperate without a treat. They said my dog was too wild to get her nails trimmed but in reality the old grouchy lady was being impatient and rude to my dog and me. My dog has had her nails trimmed in San Angelo multiple times yet this old lady couldn't do it because she was too impatient to work with my dog. I'm just glad I didn't have to pay for half a paw to be trimmed. Ridiculous. This old lady needs to work on her skills my dog is not a show dog so don't expect her to act like it and if you would have had some patience and treats she would have let you trim her nails. My father took his dog to the PetSmart located in Odessa under the assumption that the groomers were experienced. That was not the case. The groomers cut the dog's hair so short in some places that it left him cuts and bald spots. A complaint was filed with management and a call was made to the corporate office. The corporate office only directed us back to the store management and provided us with the link to the website to send an email. The purpose of the call and complaint was to make sure whoever is currently working in the grooming area is moved to a different department immediately as they are not groomers. read more
