My dachshund has some anxiety issues and is not easy to work with. The staff is understanding, patient, and accommodating with my dog. Kirsty is now his regular groomer, and she does a fantastic job. If I ever have any questions or concerns, I trust her advice fully. She has not only groomed my dog but has had a positive influence on his overall health. I love that Petco will text and email you a reminder when your appointment is getting closer. These confirmations are helpful because I may otherwise forget. You can also manage your appointment online which is convenient. We originally came to this Petco location just because I live less than 1 mile away, but I'm so satisfied with the service here that I would be willing to drive far for my dog's future appointments. read more

I have 3 dogs and Petco does all my grooming! I have never been disappointed!

Called to get my dog in for a bath and told them my dog has been itching. I was informed my dog was infested with fleas and he can not come. This is ridiculous. My dog is a service dog for a retirement community and you can imagine very well kept! My dog is on flea preventative every month. He also has sensitive skin. When I asked who I was speaking with the lady was very proud to say she was the manager of the grooming department. I will not be doing business with this store! I was hoping to find a place close to work as he is a service dog for a retirement community that is close to this location. read more

I went to buy a gate for my new puppy.as I walked in, there were no empyrean to be found. I walked the whole store looking for it. I finally found them, chose one and walked to the check out. Still, no employees....anywhere. A young woman walked in the store and said "have you been helped?". She was wearing a groomer's uniform. She paged an employee for "customer assistance at the register". I bought the gate and went home. I immediately tried to install it. I opened the box and all the pieces fell out like confetti out of a piñata. None of the pieces were in the little box and none of the bigger parts were in the plastic bags. I sorted the pieces and they were all there EXCEPT the latch in the gate. IT WAS BROKEN OFF! Someone returned it broken and Petco put it back on the shelf and sold it as new. I took it right back! The manager did not seemed troubled not surprised by this. She said "oh! Sorry for the inconvenience..." I went directly to PetSmart and bought a better one! read more

I bought my first fishtank and fish here. Everyone who worked in the fish area was extremely knowledgeable about fish. They gave their honest opinions about the small tank I was buying, which I definitely appreciated. I've been here several times and had good/bad experiences with the register person. Overall, this store is a great one to pop in and out to. It's located at the end of the large shopping center which makes it easy to park and get in and get out! read more

The people that work in the store are rude and unhelpful. Today I dropped my pup of for a nail trim. He doesn't like it but we have never had any issues at other places. When he was done I asked how it went and the girl said fine, he just fell off the table a few times but he survived. As you can imagine we are never coming back. read more

DO NOT COME HERE!! VERY RUDE GROOMERS AND WILL TREAT YOUR PET LIKE CRAP!! Possibly the worst grooming customer experience that I've dealt with. First i scheduled ahead of time when i was supposed to. I was running a little late but i had called to let them know and it was gine. I get there than they claim im 30 mins late when i was only 10 mins late. They had already deleted me outta the system. I know my dog has fleas so we put him on a flea treatment. Well there falling off. They accused me of having him infested and said that thats why they were falling off. But it was because he just had a provectol. Its a flea pill that kills them. Tjen she tried to act like it wasn't a big deal and rescjeduled me for 4 today. I get here and now she says she cannot see him. The groomer was yelling throughout the store about his fleas. No confidentiality whatsoever. Very unprofessional. Turns out the lady that was supposed to groom him, called in sick. I didn't get a heads up. They said everything was fine when i called. Bull$**** the groomer was a manly looking lady. I called to make a grooming appointment for my puppy. I spent 10 min answering questions about her shots when the lady said she can schedule me. I drove over there spent another 10 minutes while the guy behind he counter looked at her paperwork. Then he said he can't take her because she hasn't he the rabies vaccine yet. Th girl on the phone specifically asked me that and I told her no. I then asked to speak to whoever I talked to on the phone (there were 3 people there), and he told me he didn't know who it was. Bullshit. This wasted an hour of my precious time. Don't take your pet here. What a bunch of fuckin morons. read more

I took my dog Koda to be groomed there a week ago and I am very unhappy. The groomer did not talk to me once. In fact she was on her phone when I went in to make the appointment, when I dropped my dog off and when I picked her up. I left instructions not to trim her nails and not only were they cut but they were cut way too short. Her shave down was choppy. There were obvious blade marks and she was not trimmed up in various spots. It also looks like the inside of her back legs were shaved down with a shorter blade length than the rest of her. The worst of it is there was a nick on her leg from the shave down that has now become infected. I was called to pick her up after only an hour and a half and I am suspicious that she wasn't even bathed. I used to work at a petco grooming salon and I am extremely disappointed in how my dog was treated. I will not be bringing my dog back. I tried to send this email to petco on their website and that couldn't even go through! Guess it's time to try petsmart. read more

I took my Shih tzu here on Saturday for her 2PM appointment. I was told one girl would be grooming her yet when I went to check in 2 hours later it was another girl. I showed pics of exactly what I wanted and this was by far the worst cut out of all the places I've taken her. Her body was completely uneven it looked as if they cut her body with just shears and not the shaver. Her beard was butchered as I specifically stated I did not want. They didn't clean up her private areas either. Not to mention my little girl was there from 2-6:40 that amount of time she should have come out looking like show dog. They told me to 2-3 hours at most. I waited for an hour in Petco for them to finish up all while watching the girl who was grooming my dog kept stopping to help people at the register and then at one moment walks out of the store leaving my dog somewhere on the floor in the back. Yes, as a previous review stated the staff is rude. Will never return. read more

Absolute terrible customer service. I called to make my appointment and the groomer told me very frankly that it only takes around 2-21/2 hours to groom my dog and that I could not leave him there longer than that because they don't feed, water, or walk the dogs, so I could not leave him there all day. I said that was fine and I'd leave work when they let me know he was ready and pick him up. I dropped him off at 11:30 am. His appointment time was for noon. The man that helped me verified my mobile number three times and told me that as soon as he was ready, HE would call me. He said it should only take 2-21/2 hours. 3:30 pm rolls around and still no call from them. I called and the groomer told me that she couldn't tell if he was ready and the person who groomed him was out to lunch. I asked if no one else there could verify if he was ready because it was getting late and he had already been there for almost 4 hours. The groomer told me that if anything, he may still need to do the "finishing touches" on my dog. I said that he had already been there long enough and that I did not care at this point about finishing touches and that I was on my way to pick him up now. She said OK. When I get there, I have an employee tell me that they will not give me my dog until they verify with the groomer that my dog was finished. NO ONE CAN TELL ME THAT THEY WILL NOT GIVE ME MY DOG! I was calm and asked if they could call him and she said that they were doing that. Not sure why they didn't call him as soon as I told them that I was on my way to pick him up (20 minutes ago). Instead, they wait to call and verify until I was already there and angry. As soon as I got my dog home, he went immediately to his water bowl and drank like he was dehydrated. I consider their attitude and lapse in judgement as a form of cruelty to my dog. 4 hours is too long to keep him without water. would love to see them go without something to drink for 4 hours. I will NEVER bring my dog back here and I strongly discourage anyone else from doing the same. BTW, worst grooming job he's ever had. No difference from when I dropped him off. read more
