Sergio was so rude at the register, he has no business being at a register and mistreating loyal customers. I went to pay and decided I did t want one item (dog bed) and he practically threw on the side. He was mad. He is lazy and moves like a sloth. He belongs in the back cleaning up dog poop. Right next to Trader Joes I get to take care of two things at once...was going to say kill two birds with one stone, but since PETA people may be looking I would not hurt an animal if I could. I come here to get the Blue Buffalo food for my little baby girl who loves it and it is really good for her. I wouldn't dare feed a dog food from the grocery store ever and I am not a super freak about buying vegan, soy dog food from the mountains of the Himalayas for my dog either. Petco carries Blue Buffalo and also a couple of other things that are harder to find. Merricks lamb lung treats for one...hey don't knock them until you try them, my baby goes nuts when she gets her treat. I also buy a medicated shampoo that I haven't been able to find at Petsmart that does really good work with my dog who get dry skin during the summer months. Keep your stones handy if you are going to Traders next door just in case....well you get the idea. read more

Sorry in advance for the rant. Family and I went in to buy 3 small neon fish (glowing tetra things the size of a nickel) today 6/28 around 5pm for my daughter's aquarium. It's a small aquarium but the very young worker who had a boss attitude (probably too young to be in any sort of leadership position) wouldn't sell me 3 fish stating it's too small of an aquarium. She was probably 15 and in a workers permit following orders but still couldn't produce the store policy she was referring to. Thinking back many years, I think their policy is 1 fish per gallon ratio, so when she went to the policy I believe she found should could sell me 3 fish but refused likely because she didn't want to admit she was wrong. Either way I found this to be hilarious. I've been in the hobby for probably longer than she's been alive. If this were for my fish tank I probably wouldn't be buying fish at petco, this was something for my 6 year old and wanted these glow things. Anyways look at their tank with literally over 30 fish in a 10 gallon tank and had to really wonder the double standards here. Dead fish floating around the tanks, stuck to the filters, and other fish eating them.... I can tell, she was genuinely caring about these little fish LOL. Additionally she has no clue what type of set up I have or type of filtration. Either way we went and bought out 3 little fish somewhere else (petsmart). I suppose everyone deserves a chance in life but I'd hope Petco leadership would hire people with a bit more common sense! read more

If I could give this location a zero I would. Ever since they did a remodel, the store has gone completely down hill. The staff here is awful and you can never get any help, except from melody and Kendall which seem to be the only ones who do their job. The store is a mess and everything is all over the place you can't find what you're looking for. The manager Hannah is very unprofessional along with two other ladies working which I didn't get their names. The one lady at the register who was very rude was taller, had dark hair and a lip piercing. She was talking horrible about some of the staff and when I asked her a question she gave me a bunch of attitude and chucked my change at me. I confronted her about her behavior and she just laughed in my face. I don't understand how someone like this could still be working in a public setting. If you're miserable then LEAVE!! This review is for the VETCO vet services. This vet is quite disappointing for a few reasons. 1. I had an appointment this morning for booster lepto and flu vaccines. I show up and they tell me they no longer have the flu vaccine. It's bad enough that they do not have the courtesy to call me to tell me not to come in but if they are going to give my dog the vaccines and set up an appointment for boosters in 3 weeks, shouldn't they make sure they have the shots for their patients that need the boosters? Because of their mistake, now I have to find another vet within a few days (there is only a 3-4 week window for booster) and pay for a full vet wellness visit at another vet to get the boosters. 2. They charge double the price of other vets for the flu vaccine. read more

Sooo I usually don't complain BUT this was horrible customer service, we had an appointment at 3pm only to be called the day prior and asked to come in at Noon. We arrived at noon for grooming services only to wait 15mins ! And then be told the lady was on lunch and due to short staffing no one could service my dog and that I could try back 45 mins later! Unbelievable!!! We will NOT be returning and it was very poor customer service. I bought a ball python from here 4 months ago he was infested with mites I went back today you can literally see them crawling on these poor snakes this is ridiculous this is a huge corporation DO MORE!!! There is no reason they should be infested with bugs like this they need more care. They need to completely clean out all these reptile enclosures and get this handled. I went to the Bouquet Canyon Petco today to purchase a special Royal Canin prescription food for my sick puppy as prescribed by her vet. I found the dry food needed but not the canned but figured I could start with that. I also found some toys for both of my dogs and a harness that I planned to purchase. I went to the register with my prescription and the checker said I had to give it to the person at the Vetco desk first. I went and rang the bell because the lights were off and nobody was at the desk. An employee came to greet me and said they were having lunch and I would have to wait until 1:00pm. It was 12:00pm. I had already spent 40 minutes in the store shopping. I told her I was planning to buy my food there as well as the items in the cart. She said sorry but it didn't seem she really cared. I said I would be taking my business to a place that could accommodate my needs and she said okay. I made a point to tell the checker what happened and I was leaving the cart and going somewhere else and she said sorry that's the procedure. I left and called around and was able to find both the dry and canned food at Pet Stop, a small local competitor. At Pet Stop I received terrific, helpful, and very friendly service. I bought the toys there as well. Thanks for making me feel like you don't give a crap Petco. Your procedure stinks!! read more

This Petco store is so clean and the employees there are so Friendly. I took my doggie to get her vaccines here and I thought there would be a long line or a lot of people waiting but no, we were the only ones there and it didn't take them more than 5 minutes to give my doggie all her vaccines. Vet clinic hours at Petco are Sundays from 10am to 1pm and Wednesdays from 6 to 8pm Only for this store. Tip: Make sure you call before you go, they might be closed even when the store is open and when it says on their website that they're open too. read more

I happened to be in the area when I went to pick up some specific dog food my vet prescribed for my dog's stomach issues. I got it off the shelf and went to pay for it, the cashier said I need a prescription for that dog food (it was Royal Canin gastrointestinal low-fat) before I can buy it. I had the prescription label from the can our vet gave us and showed it to the cashier. He said I had to see their vet to get a prescription. Really?!?! I have to see your vet for something I already have from mine? Well, they wouldn't sell me the dog food without their vet's prescription so I left. I was able to buy the food right off the shelf at the pet store in my area and had no issue. Nope... won't be going back to Petco. read more

Wow. I can't believe the experience I had here. I took my dog Charlie to get a cut and a bath. I got a call from the groomer 2 hours later saying he had a knot by his ear and that she couldn't get it out so she was going to cut it off and trim his body to natch the ear. Then she says to head over because he's almost ready. When I got there my fluffy maltipoo was completely shaved. He had a completely uneven part by his neck. The thing that bothers me the most is that she just could t be honest with me. She clearly messed up his cut and came up with the ear as an excuse. Even if his ear was matted his complete body did not need to be shaved. Also I'm not sure how it was possible for her to do it between her phone call And me getting there. I will never step foot in this Petco again. They don't know what they're doing and are not dog people. And the dishonesty just tops it all off. read more

We did a tour of the store with our Girl Scout Troop and the girls had so much fun getting close to the animals with Madison as our tour guide. They got to pet a few animals, visit the groomer and the veterinarian. The store was very clean and well organized and all the staff was knowledgeable and eager to answer the girls' questions. Had a horrible grooming "accident". I use quotes because we were never told what actually happened. I dropped my dog off at 11am on Saturday, October 15th with a groomer we have never had before. A little over an hour later, we get a call about a major accident happening and were told my dog was at the vet so they could control the bleeding. No story, explanation, and information on his condition, just that he was at the vet that was down the street from their location. We got a call from the vet who told us that he had a deep cut on his stomach and they had to use staples to close it. We couldn't pick him up for about 3 more hours. A rep from Petco met us at the vet and paid the bill. We were told someone would follow up with us. Nobody ever did. We also had to pay the $30 bill to get his staples removed. To this day, we have not heard a single thing from the location or either manager there. read more

Love, love, love the groomers at this place! When I first brought my dog in, he was nervous and shy. But the ladies here did such a great job with him. They were so good with him. And he looked so handsome after his bath and haircut! Prior to bringing him here, he was turned away by Petsmart because they said they couldn't handle him. He's 15 pounds! And when I reached Petsmart, he was sitting there quietly in her lap letting her cut his nails. Could you not handle him or were you not interested? When I picked up my dog at petsmart, the employees were very rude to me. Thank god I came to Petco! Highly recommend the groomers here! They were energetic, kind, and so sweet! The few times we've ventured in, we've received excellent customer service. Each employee has been helpful, hasn't rushed us, and made sincere recommendations. We were looking for a more 'healthy option' for cat treats and one of the employees recommended this freeze dried shrimp. She vouched on her cats' behalf that she loved it, but for whatever reason if our cat wasn't ga-ga over it, we could return it for a full refund. Ultimately we did have to return it and we had no issues, returned hassle-free. Parking here is crazy! Neighbors are Trader Joes and Best Buy - good luck. read more

If I could leave NO STARS I would. I took my 3 year old there today after school to get a new fish. The staff there came to the aquatics area and saw that there were at least twelve of us all standing around waiting for help. The guy (manager??) was fiddling with one tank and then proceeded to turn off the lights to the others. He never once acknowledged ANY OF US. I went to the front desk and they all ignored me. I called the store from the fish section and asked if they could send somebody back over to help the large group here looking to buy fish. The girl said to me, "oh, the Aquatics area is closed". I told her that it would've been nice if somebody would've told us that or if there was a sign or if there was some indication on the website that they stop helping people who want to buy fish. As a business owner, I can't imagine not helping people WITHIN STORE HOURS to purchase something. Never again will we go there.
