I had an amazing experience with my daughter for her first real dental cleaning. First off the receptionist Cynthia is so nice and friendly. She has a great personality and she was so helpful with making an appointment and so sweet to my daughter. The dental assistant was so friendly and knew how to deal with kids because she has a toddler herself. Dr Ickowicz was so nice to my daughter and was so kid friendly! He had a stuffed animal with teeth and explained how a dental cleaning worked to make my 3 year old daughter feel comfortable. To make the appointment even better, they gave my daughter a toy. I first went to Dr. Ickowicz for mild pain, upon examination, he found a more in-depth problem, and instead of trying unnecessary procedures and quick fixes, he referred me to a specialist who also took good care of me. I've been back to follow up with Dr. Ickowicz a couple of times since, and have always left knowing I was in very capable hands. Doctor didn't fill my cavity even after X-ray clearly shows that there was a cavity. I told to the doctor that food was going and sticking in the teeth. he said to floss it. After a year, I had to go the doc for an emergency visit due to pain. Doctor said cavity is big now I have to do root canal. I asked that doctor why he didn't fill it last time, he said he don't know. And he charged lot of money from insurance for emergency visit. Dr Ickowicz is an honest, down to earth and skilled dentist. I highly recommend him...I drove from Astoria for dental work because I had bad experiences with the dentists in my area that took my dental coverage. I called Monday for a filling that fell out and got an appointment a few days later. The receptionist was very friendly and willing to help me figure out my dental coverage before the procedure took place. When I arrived there was literally no wait time and they followed COVID protocols. He put me at ease and was very professional. Went to this dentist based on good reviews. Told him I had pain. They took a few X-rays, he tapped a few teeth, told me nothing was wrong and referred me to a root canal doctor. I just left my first appointment with Dr Ickowicz, and I can say hands down this was the best dental experience I've had in a while. The process was seamless from start to finish. His front desk staff was very easy to make an appointment with and exuded friendliness and professionalism. There was virtually no wait time before the Dental Hygienist Dana took me back to the procedure room. Dentist doesn't seem to care much about the patient but more about the money, and for that I am pissed. Dr. Ickowicz shoddy work caused a filling on my tooth to fall off FOUR times. Yesterday he still had the audacity to say "what about if I don't feel like refilling it." Instead out of courtesy he refilled it properly he wanted to charge me additional $140 because insurance wouldn't cover it until January. It was his negligence that caused it to fall off four times in the first place and still he wanted to charge me. I think this practice should be reported and I will. This is not a third world country health service, I do not expect to have a good insurance and to constantly be bombarded for money not covered by my insurance by a dentist who is clearly greedy for money. read more

I have lived in Los Angeles for 2 years and refuse to go to a dentist there because anytime I am home Dr. Ickowicz will make sure I am able to come in for a cleaning and check up. I love the very nice atmosphere of the office because typically I am very up tight when going to a doctor. The staff are always very kind upon walking in and waiting.
