i've been a patient with this dental office for just about two years now and I cannot rave about them enough. Dr. Schaffer and his wife as well as Dr. Greco and the rest of their staff are absolutely incredible. Getting my cleanings have been very thorough with Dr. Greco and the two hygienists. Recently I decided to take the leap and get Invisalign with her and nothing but 5 stars for the process and service. She answered all my questions and concerns. Dr.Greco has been by far the best dentist I have ever been to. I've been going to her since she first started. She has repaired multiple cavities that were filled wrong by a pervious dentist and has fixed gaps in my teeth with invisalign that have made me self-conscious my entire life. My husband and kids are now all patients as well and we have only had amazing experiences. Dr. Greco was so incredible with my young girls. She thoroughly explained everything before doing it to make sure they wouldn't be scared. They came home so excited to brush their teeth. We couldn't be happier. read more

After years of looking for a good dentist in the area, we finally hit the gem. Not only do they take adults- but they also see kids as well. Finally one place that can see the entire family. Great experience for the kiddos, they make sure everyone is comfortable. The hygienists are wonderful. Oh and they don't suggest any unnecessary work. We had been taking our kids to a children's dentist also on Merrick but all they did was try to get your money. unfortunately I would like to give Dr. Greco of Polished Dental Care no stars. I was one of her first patients when she started her practice. I always had very high regard for her. I had several crowns made by her and many cleanings. This past week I went for my cleaning specifically asking for Dr. Greco. Years ago when she first hired a hygienist I tried the hygienist and left with brown stains on my molars. So since then I have always asked for Dr. Greco. So halfway thru my cleaning with Dr. Greco I felt a big problem in my bottom front tooth. My tongue kept catching on something. Dr. Greco said my tooth was chipped. She showed me a pic of my tooth and it had a chip on the edge and part of the back of the tooth was missing. I did not have this prior to the cleaning. She checked my xrays done before the cleaning and said the pics did not show the bottom tooth. I dont know how that is possible as I had the contraption for xrays in the front of my mouth 2 times. After the cleaning Dr. Greco said I could make an appointment for a repair. I went back in the afternoon as it was very uncomfortable in my mouth. I told her again that I did not have this chip before the cleaning. She said I was accusing her of chipping my tooth and proceeded to say she would repair my tooth no charge but this will sever our relationship! She also was nasty and went on to say that my husband and I were nothing but trouble to her as complainers all these years. And then reiterated that we could no longer come back to her practice. I am so upset and disappointed in Dr. Greco. She took no responsibility for what happened unintentionally during the cleaning. She was convinced I had the chip prior to coming in for the cleaning. Believe me it was so uncomfortable to feel this with my tongue in my mouth I would have known the chip was there before the cleaning. I believe that Dr. Greco showed her true colors in becoming nasty with me. I don't believe she intentionally chipped my tooth and therefore she should have politely taken responsibility to repair it without severing the relationship. After seeing her like this I am more than happy to look for a new dentist. read more

Dr. Shaffer runs a spotless, comfortable office which is, of course, important but the quality of care is also excellent. He personally made an accommodation to a nervous patient who had not had dental care in a significant amount of time. Dr. Shaffer was clear and direct with the prognosis and provided a detailed treatment plan and path moving forward. He went above and beyond in all aspects of the visit and even repaired a separate issue in the same appointment. This is the first time I've left a dentist's office and actually looked forward to returning for my next appointment. It's been awhile since I've been to the dentist, since the last time I went was a pretty traumatic experience made worse by a dentist who had some terrible people skills. When I sat down with Dr. Shaffer, I explained how that one bad experience had given me anxiety about going back to the dentist for years. He put me at ease immediately with his compassion and understanding. I appreciated the fact that he explained everything he was doing and was able to add humor and friendliness into something as uncomfortable as a teeth cleaning. First off, I absolutely love both Dr. Greco and Dr. Shaffer. They are so incredibly professional and caring. I had an issue with one of my teeth and they helped me navigate the waters. Today, I went there and had a filling done. It didn't hurt, went very smoothly and was a good experience. They make you feel like family when you are there. They treat their patients with the utmost respect and that's very much appreciated. These two dentists know their stuff! I went to Polished Dental Care on April 1st, 2017 and had a positively wonderful experience. They are conveniently located near major roadways and I had no trouble finding their location. The office is well lit and comfortably cozy like a spa. Their professional and friendly staff greeted me as soon as I entered. I was cordially invited to hang up my coat, make myself comfortable and was even offered a cup of coffee, tea or water. After settling in, I filled out the necessary paperwork on the office's custom electronic tablet which was fast and very easy to use. My checkup and cleaning was done with Dr. Greco. She is fantastic. She was very attentive throughout the appointment and explained everything she was doing in great detail. I had several follow up questions after my cleaning and she answered all of them in a friendly and professional manner. Dr Michael shaffer is probably the most amazing dentist i've ever been to... i've had a lot of work done in the past- but coming here really set the standard for dental care... Not only was the Dr courteous and very warm- his entire staff from the front desk to the other doctors were kind, engaging and very professional. I refer every friend and family member to this practice, and if you love your teeth and the dental care of your loved ones, you will too... My filling was a difficult one to fix, despite being chipped and being the size of a large kernel of corn- dr shaffer fixed it SEAMLESSLY! I was there for the first time today after avoiding the dentist for way too long!! Dr.Shaffer is very disarming, honest, kind and plain old really good at what he does! I am so glad I went, and I have called numerous people to tell them they simply have to switch dentists and use him. Michael Schaffer graduates Summa Cum Laude of BS. I was told that my root was fractured, he told me it wasn't and replaced my cap with a discolored cap. He sent me to a shady place in Lynbrook that was filthy to have my tooth matched. Two days after he took off my temporary and replaced it with my permanent cap it was loose. I made it very clear to him from the beginning that I did not want an implant. When the cap failed he kept pushing an implant. I told him I did not want an implant I want a bridge. This guy who acted like he was a nice guy wrote a check for me. He gave me my money back because I didn't want an implant. He tried to give me his friends phone number to go to that already disagreed with me ( so he said). Beware of this guy. If you look at my reviews I do not have many. My advice is to RUN away from this guy. I tired to review him igoogle but I can't. Michael I will find a way. When I asked them for my X-rays they tried to play a game with me. They asked for my license ID number. RUN This is not thee office. The address is right but it's on the second floor look at the tree.The last tree pictures are his office not the nice pictures. I found Dr. Shaffer on zocdoc and made an appointment for my boyfriend and I since we needed a new Dentist and were due for a cleaning. The office is in a nice, convenient location and the office is peaceful and clean. I ended up needing more of a deep cleaning and Dr. Shaffer was extremely thorough and informative and had a very calming nature. My boyfriend also had a great experience overall, and we will definitely continue to see him in the future. You got the impression he definitely cares what kind of experience his patients have in his office. He stayed later than he had to with us because he knew we were traveling from an hour away and didn't want us to have to come back for something else that could be done today. He even personally got on the phone with our insurance company while we were there to see if my procedure would require another set of x-rays. Bottom line, we'd rather drive a bit farther for quality service than see someone a mile away who is just running a factory operation and looking to collect the next insurance payment. read more

She was even able to use a camera and show me some areas I was missing when brushing!
