I called the office and was told I would have to fill out the same forms that we have filled out before they would even schedule an emergency appointment. This is a set of 4 documents that we had previously filled out with no changes. I asked the staff to have Dr Woodward call me. He did not. I sent a written complaint to Dr Woodward. He responded 2 weeks later defending his duplicate documents before appointment policy, accused me of being rude and said he refused to speak with me anymore as it was "his legal right". My mother in law speaks no English, I am the primary on the insurance and 100% support her. She is my dependant. We called another oral surgeon who was more concerned about my mother in laws health than paperwork and he got us right in called our dentist and had us fill out the paperwork at the appointment. We had used Dr Woodward exclusively for oral surgery so I guess we were used to poor treatment. It was refreshing to see a provider that cares. My family lives under constant despair due to the war and relatives fighting and dying. It was nice that the new oral surgeon showed compassion instead of insulting us and adding stress

I left a voicemail and was contacted next day to set my consult appointment. Had a my surgery a few weeks later which consisted of the removal of all 4 of my wisdom teeth (which to this day was and shall dutifully remain the single most miserable experience of my life. No matter where you go it's going to suck...a lot) However I was apart of the lucky few that didn't clean throughly enough and got some food debris caught in my gum which promptly sealed up got infected and caused my face to swell up to the size of 2014 version Kanye West's unchecked ego. It started Friday evening. I became concerned by Tuesday morning (which is when I called to seek help). I was seen by Wednesday so we could get my gums sorted (I'll spare you the gross details but basically it was like popping a giant zit that had grown along my entire lower right gum line). And had a post op check up Friday. Today is Friday and after getting the stitches removed I'm pain free and feeling relatively normal. I am extremely thankful for the Germantown team for being so accommodating. I won't hesitate to go back (but hopefully I won't need to). A well deserved 5 stars.

The receptionist did not even greet me. She told me to "hold on one second" and then told the doctor that I had my baby with me, which I understood could be an issue. I said that was okay and that I would come back when I had childcare. However, she insisted that I could still do a consultation. It felt like the only reason for this was so they could still collect a payment from me. I explained that the doctor already had my X-rays and records, and that I could simply reschedule, but the receptionist kept insisting. I spoke with the Doctor, and he barely gave me any information before telling me to wait in another room for an examination. At that point, I started to feel uncomfortable, so I walked out and told them to call me to reschedule. Then the patient coordinator told me I owed $56.78. I said that was fine, but I needed to go to the bank to get the money. Her attitude immediately became rude and nasty toward me. I went to the bank, got the money, and came back to pay without any issue. One major red flag was that no one could clearly explain the total cost of procedures. At every other dentist office I have been to, I have always been given straightforward pricing information. Here, they could never give me a clear answer about costs or fees. Overall, this place felt more focused on getting money than providing quality patient care.

Towards the end of February I sought the services of a local dentist that accepted my Insurance…read more After a short search, and confirming this particular dentist accepted my plan, I went into their office to be evaluated. They took a couple of X-rays and made the determination that I needed a triple bridge and crown. At that time, the Office manager (Doctors Mother) said they would come back in a moment with a quote. A minute later, the O.M. told me the work would be $3600. I asked if she had taken my insurance reimbursement into account. I called the Dental Insurance co the day before to confirm my benefits. It is $1000 off the top and 50/50 of allowable services. The O.M. said they know how these things work and it would be more expensive if I lived in DC, saying that I was getting a deal. There is no way a practice can make a determination without working with an insurance company, unless it was going to be a self pay. It was a short back and forth with her saying that I have insurance and I'm not expected to pay the full price. From many experiences of predetermination of benefits, when there is "work" to be done the doc office sends the info, in this case x-rays and codes to the insurance company, and the I.C. makes a determination on the $$ they pay and the percentage that is my responsibility. Well that wasn't even brought up by either the doctor or more importantly the O.M. They had no interest in working with the Insurance company since they were complaining to me abt how they never pay their claims, it takes forever to get a reply, etc. I figured that they would straighten that out and I was asked by O.M. to leave a deposit of $500. That's a lot of money to me, but I knew that the work needed to be done and the final amount would be significantly lower once the Insurance kicked in. I walked out of the doctor's office without any itemized bill of the work to be performed, only a receipt for my $500 deposit. I felt very uncomfortable about how things went down so again, I decided to call my insurance company to confirm my benefits. They said the same thing that they said prior to my visit to the doctor. I gave it a week and half and checked with the O.M. and she said they submitted the claim but didn't hear back. I then waited another week and she told me the insurance company kicked back the claim because the member (me) information was incorrect and they had no record of me in their system. I believe this to be untrue because the O.M. took a copy of my insurance card and I had called the I.C. twice with the same info and they had no problem pulling up my record. As I've done before, calling the doc and insurance company to get things moving is not out of the question, especially when it's to my benefit. I was informed by the person I was speaking with from the I.C. that they had no record of ever receiving anything from the doc office so she offered to put me on hold while she called them thinking maybe they had the wrong information. They didn't and I gave it two more weeks. I called the O.M. and explained my dissatisfaction in how things were handled. She said "if you want your money back we'll just go ahead and do that". To which I responded, "yes PLEASE". Finally, I felt that I could get my refund, find another dentist, and put this behind me. A couple days later I get a call from the Doctor and in an accusatory way asks me what seems to be the problem. Of course he knew exactly what the problem was by talking to his Mom. I reiterated the lengthy process and that I wasn't comfortable with them doing any work on me, so since his Mom offered to refund the $500 I decided that was the best thing. The next thing he says is "we're not giving you a refund" and hung up on me. Needless to say, I was stunned at this behavior. I have never in my 57 years had such an unprofessional experience with a doctors office and staff. How could he not honor what his mother, the office manager had already agreed to? Update: 5/20/23- I called them last week and left two messages...no reply. I just called, Mother hung up on me.

BEWARE - Fraudulent Practices and Unprofessional Staff…read more My family and I had been patients of Total Dental Care for over five years. Unfortunately, the level of professionalism and integrity at this office has declined dramatically in the past year and a half. Most recently, I discovered that they forged my signature on a contract I never signed. I began Invisalign treatment with them in 2024. From the beginning, their billing department was disorganized and unhelpful. I had to make multiple trips to the office just to receive a corrected contract that reflected the agreed-upon cost. I eventually signed the correct version and kept a copy for my records. Fast forward to early 2025--after I had finished paying off my Invisalign--I noticed an additional, unauthorized charge to my account. I contacted the office immediately but was given the runaround for 5 days. This should have been clarified and resolved in one phone call. Dealing with their joke of administrative, billing, etc. staff is a nightmare. When I finally spoke with the office manager, she told me their records showed a different contract with higher payment terms. I requested a copy, and to my shock, the document she sent had a forged version of my signature, printed name, and date. I immediately went to the office to address this in person. When I presented the original, accurate contract that I had signed, the office manager had no explanation. She admitted that the forged version was the only one in their system. Despite this, no one from the office took responsibility or offered a resolution until I threatened with legal action. No apology, no ownership, no follow-up from Dr. Narendra or the ownership. This is not just a billing error--it's fraud. Aside from this major issue, the office frequently cancels appointments with minimal notice and falsely claims to have contacted patients. Patients deserve to be treated with honesty and respect. I strongly encourage anyone who has done business with this office to review their documentation carefully. If they did this to me, I can't help but wonder how many other records they've tampered with. Avoid this office at all costs.
