I came up Total Dental Care by accident with a tooth emergency. I was fit in for the next day, and in my many years of going to dentist this was an amazing visit. I had a tooth extracted, and Dr. Sreeni and his support staff walked and talked me through the whole process. I was terrified and they explained every step of the way and even gave encouragement. Later that evening, Dr. Sreeni took the time to call to check in to see how I was recovering. I've never had such a warm and thoroughly explicated visit to a dentist office. This place actually SCAMS people and have seen multiple bad reviews talking about the same thing. WARNING if they tell you that you have this gum disease that costs $1000s and must come in very very often do not listen its not true. Went to get a second opinion and Shady Grove Dental Care was shocked they said this because I had 0 symptoms of this said disease. I feel genuinely so bad for the people that fell for this. BEWARE - Fraudulent Practices and Unprofessional Staff My family and I had been patients of Total Dental Care for over five years. Unfortunately, the level of professionalism and integrity at this office has declined dramatically in the past year and a half. Most recently, I discovered that they forged my signature on a contract I never signed. I began Invisalign treatment with them in 2024. From the beginning, their billing department was disorganized and unhelpful. I had to make multiple trips to the office just to receive a corrected contract that reflected the agreed-upon cost. I eventually signed the correct version and kept a copy for my records. Fast forward to early 2025--after I had finished paying off my Invisalign--I noticed an additional, unauthorized charge to my account. I contacted the office immediately but was given the runaround for 5 days. This should have been clarified and resolved in one phone call. Dealing with their joke of administrative, billing, etc. staff is a nightmare. When I finally spoke with the office manager, she told me their records showed a different contract with higher payment terms. I requested a copy, and to my shock, the document she sent had a forged version of my signature, printed name, and date. I immediately went to the office to address this in person. When I presented the original, accurate contract that I had signed, the office manager had no explanation. She admitted that the forged version was the only one in their system. Despite this, no one from the office took responsibility or offered a resolution until I threatened with legal action. No apology, no ownership, no follow-up from Dr. Narendra or the ownership. This is not just a billing error--it's fraud. Aside from this major issue, the office frequently cancels appointments with minimal notice and falsely claims to have contacted patients. Patients deserve to be treated with honesty and respect. I strongly encourage anyone who has done business with this office to review their documentation carefully. If they did this to me, I can't help but wonder how many other records they've tampered with. Avoid this office at all costs. read more

Dental Office from Hell I was scheduled to have my wisdom teeth extracted so I called out of work for the day of and after. I arrive and they let me know they tried contacting me to let me know the Dr could no longer do it. They were upset that I ignored them and I should have replied. I ask them to please show me the number they tried contacting me and it was completely wrong and they did not apologize. Mind you, they have contacted me plenty of times before at the right phone number. After my rescheduled surgery was finished and I was now conscious, I asked the student (he looked very young), who was the only person left in the operating room if I could have my teeth they extracted. He told me no and to stop talking. (I never got my teeth) I asked for a permanent retainer since my teeth have never responded well to the plastic retainers and the Dr said no, so my teeth have shifted. Thousands in orthodontia now wasted. I expressed interest in having Invisalign (since my teeth moved) but they would always conveniently ignore me until after the special was over. The specialist would never reach out when I would leave my phone number. The front desk guy (who is very sassy) actually denied me of getting the Invisalign even though a Dr, my coordinator, and the Invisalign specialist informed me I would be able to start paying for Invisalign to take advantage of the sale since I was needing treatments prior. But no, the sassy receptionist apparently knows more than them. Since they do not always answer their phone, I text the office with questions. Again back to the sassy receptionist, he will ignore me if he is in the wrong and I will never get a text back. Most recently, the office contacted me informing of another Invisalign special. I call the office for more info a few days later and they inform me the sale actually ended less than 24hrs of when that text from the office was sent. I thought it was odd they would give me such little notice but they told me they were already so courteous to text me and let me know, since apparently they sent a mass email prior. I look at my emails and I have never received an email from them. I inform them I am not on the email list and once again they ignore me. There was only one kind staff member I felt comfortable around at each visit and of course she was fired. It's like they want you to feel terrible since all the staff are terrible. Veterans, avoid this dental office if you're using VA Community Care. From day one, I've experienced nothing but poor service from Total Dental Care's administration. They lost my file after my first consult, which caused a 1.5-year delay. My implant process has dragged on nearly 2 years due to paperwork being sent to the wrong VA office. Now, over a year later, I'm still waiting for the crown. Every time I ask for an update, they blame the VA--yet the VA says many veterans have similar complaints about this place. Dentists and hygienists are fine, but the admin office is completely unreliable. I'm requesting a new provider. Veterans deserve better. read more

I was referred to this Dentist office by a family member who had nothing but great things to say about the care and treatment she received here. pros: 1. the office and the rooms are super bright and clean. They still have Covid protocols in place and I tbinn thats a great idea 2. They ate very good at seeing you very close to your appointment time. No long wait times at all 3. Most of the staff is super friendly and because of them I have no problem returning. Special shou out to Brandee who took the time to ease my fears concerning my root canal. Love her!!!!! Then there is Dr. Narendra, who answer answered all of my questions & her lovely dental assistant! And then there's Deidre, who always looks for me when Im in the office. Cons: I took one star away because I wasn't too happy with being accosted in the hallway by a staff member ( never seen him before) who tried to convince me to get more work done. While I understand selling culture as I am in the retail business, I had already left the office and had already spoken with my Dr. concerning when I will be in next. read more

This place did a great job with my dental cleaning. One thing I don't like is that, they're pushy for you to get extra. Invisalign, wisdom teeth removal. Staff were amazing. I knew what was going on the entire time. This put me at easy as they explained what was going on. I enjoyed my interaction with them but I am a people watcher and I loved how the staff interacted with other patient and other staff members. Update from billing side after this past visit: The dentist tried to charge me an outrageous bill for just a 6 month cleaning which is covered by my insurance. I had to call and be like I'm not paying for this. You've done this before and it's ridiculous- everything is covered by insurance. The billing lady was even like I don't know why they billed you for any of these. I know! She was like whatever the check the insurance gave you, please just drop that in as your payment and your bill will be cleared. I told her what day I'd come in. I go to the front desk and tell them- the receptionist tried to tell me that I'd have to come another day and I literally almost lost my entire demeanor on him. Same guy who messed up my appointment and I was like your person said I can come today! He actually does his job for once to go to the back to talk to the billing lady and was like oh yes we will take it. Such a scam of a place! Find a better place and don't bother with the headaches. read more

This place is just . . . weird. There are people everywhere, including in the room when I was getting a cleaning. I've had a problem with one of my teeth and the periodontist wanted to do an X-ray of it. I scheduled to have that done and to have my teeth cleaned. Then I thought about it and decided to cancel the X-ray part of the appointment. I get there and ask THREE people that I'm just there for a checkup and cleaning, right? They all said yes. Next thing I know I'm getting the X-ray. Glad they didn't charge me, because I would not have paid it. THEN--someone was supposed to call me about having another someone look at the X-ray and advise me what to do. Nope. Never happened. It's just as well. read more

This is a money hungry practice. They insist on my husband and I both needing deep cleanings every 3 months when we have never needed that before (we recently switched dentists). The lady that explained the bill and charges was also very rude when I questioned her on this. Yeah sure it's an aesthetically pleasing practice, but who cares when they want to squeeze every penny out of you. They didn't seem to care when I said that I didn't want to spend $300 every 3 months for a deep cleaning. They simply told me to go choose another dentist. Well, guess what? If I could I would give this place no stars. I am a big reviewer so I always give my honest opinion so I hesitated about doing this review but I feel like people need to know... I admit, I hate the dentist and have not been in years. I saw this place opened and the environment looked friendly, technology advanced and was close to home. Let me say not everything was bad but you be the judge of that. The Receptionist and dental assistant was very friendly and helpful. They did do a good job to get me in because I had a tooth ache. The Dr. however is not so great which turned the experience into an unforgettable and unforgivable one. I know a lot of people hate the dentist so when we go to a new office we have hopes that everything will go well. Dr. Asha made both my husband and I feel really bad about our teeth which was not comforting at all. Almost as if our gums were going to detach from the teeth. I know no one was perfect and since I haven't been to the dentist in years I knew I would hear some bad news. But it was not the bad news that bothered me, it was the tone and the way she said it. Dr. Asha also made a bigger deal about my tooth problem then the endodontist who was specialized in root canals which is what I needed. Also I had to ask multiple times for a price quote of all the procedures that I needed done (long term) and it was like pulling teeth to get them. They also charge an extra $400 lab fee (when its the dentist that should absorb that fee) and not the consumer. My husband also got a cavity filled there and he still has filling on the side of his tooth, which makes it seem like they were not careful with the cavity filling. This office brought back the fear of why I stayed away from the dentist for years and had it not been for another dentist and comparing the prices (with benefits) and treatment, they helped me overcome the awful feeling that I felt. I should had paid attention to the other reviews because for some reason their prices (in network) are significantly higher than normal. Lesson learned, don't be fooled by the appearance of the office because what matters is who actually takes care of you in the end. I will never trust this place ever again! read more

Incompetent Staff!! I had some poor work done at another dentist and had a tooth exposed that needed repairs. I called them and hoped they would help me out and made an in-person visit to their office to get this kicked-off properly. They refused to call and get fee schedules from my insurances. They refused to call during a lull period during the holidays despite me telling them my insurance companies were open. They refused to give me copies of my records so I could move elsewhere. Refused to communicate by email despite giving me email to contact them. I finally had to visit in-person and still wasn't able to resolve my issues. I felt the excuses the staff gave were simply nonsense. They have nice offices but if staff is incompetent and create more problems for you of what value is that? I will be reporting them to Maryland Dental Association. read more

The office is really nice, super clean, and they have the newest technology. I got a routine teeth cleaning here as well as a wisdom tooth extraction. The teeth cleaning was normal, subpar at best. I had Dr. Sreeni for my wisdom tooth extraction and he was awesome! He was polite, and he made me feel comfortable about the extraction (something I had fears about). The process went smoothly and I had little to no pain afterwards. I am giving this place two stars because I had a bad experience with the receptionist. I repeatedly told her that I did not need fillings because I had gotten my teeth extracted however she refused to believe me until she checked her own records. Frankly I couldn't even explain the situation because she wouldn't let me get a word in. She was pushy and rude, I know what needs to be done in MY mouth. I then asked her about the possibility of getting another procedure done in their office and she explained to me that insurance wouldn't cover it which was fine, I told her I would go somewhere else because I know that my insurance covers a portion of the procedure. She then proceeded to say "Oh thats fine you can go somewhere else but I know for sure the insurance doesn't cover it and I'm going to call and find out because I'm curious" This whole exchange completely turned me off from their office, instead of listening to me the paying customer she only wanted to hear herself speak. Another thing I don't like about this office is that they are "money hungry". I had to pay for the full wisdom teeth procedure before they even touched my mouth. Any reputable establishment should not collect payment before services are rendered. The only good thing about this dental office is Dr. Sreeni and he's only there once a week on Tuesdays. Not really a fan of dentists in general but I was impresed by Total Dental Care. It's a fully decked out super modern and elegant office. Staff was courteous and Dr. Sreeni was very nice and took the time to walk me through all of my options without aggressively pushing me to any particular option which was a welcome change from dentists I've had in the past that are very pushy, aggressive, and trigger-happy on invasive surgery and extraction options. read more

The main reason why I came to this office was their availability on Saturdays. When I initially called there weren't any appointments available within four weeks so I requested to be placed on the waitlist. One week later a woman called me to say that someone had canceled and they could Fit me in the same week. When I arrived the facility looked very clean & everyone was friendly. the music and atmosphere was very calm and relaxing which we definitely helped me. Going to the dentist makes me a little anxious. The staff were really kind and maybe feel comfortable. they allowed my friend to come in the back and sit with me once the x-rays were complete. I advise you to complete the online registration that was super helpful and eliminated time spent in the waiting room. I probably waited about five minutes or less to get called back. I wish I could give this place 0 stars. I reached out to this office in need of getting a root canal done since my regular dental office was not able to schedule me till a month out. As I'm about to switch jobs I needed to get this done ASAP while on my current insurance before I start my new job 1 week. I reached out to Total Dental Care on Friday and spoke to Monique. She got my X-rays and all my information then she scheduled my for an appointment the following Thursday morning. I spoke to Monique quite a few times before my appointment and was very clear that I'm only coming for a root canal not for a regular consultation. She informed me that she's scheduled me a 2 hour time block and as long as the doctor didn't see anything wrong I'd be perfectly able to get the root canal during that appointment. Thursday morning comes and I meet with the doctor only to find out that she's NOT an endodontist and there is NOT one in the office that day. The doctor informed me that she had me scheduled for a consultation and there was no way I could get the root canal done that day. Needless to say I left extremely frustrated at the deception and time wasted. Now I'm starting a new job in 3 days and will be without insurance for 3 months. read more
