Mr. Donavich was referred to me by a dear friend who needed services for both parents in the span of 1 year. Emotionally it was a difficult time for her, but she also noted that Donavich handled everything and was very professional. My stepmother passed during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic on April 6, 2020. There were several funeral homes that were increasing their prices up to five times the cost. This individual should not be permitted to work with grieving people. I received one of the worst experiences of my life with Mr. Dohanich, and was reminded of Dr. Jekyll/ Mr. Hyde. Please let my tears serve as a warning to you. The rate for his services was very reasonable, and he SEEMED kind at first...and then it deteriorated from there. A. Lack of tact: he flippantly described (in needless, gory detail) the condition of my family member's body, which I really could have lived without knowing. B. Lack of professionalism: not responding to phone messages or texts over a period of time, was a cause for concern. C. The above was a little worrisome, but: It was after I had paid for (and he had rendered) his services, that he then proceeded to SCREAM at me, MOCK me, and lob threats my way for a full two minutes. It was one of the worst experiences of my life, and it ripped the scab right off my family member's death. And this coming from someone who is supposed to be a Funeral Director (you know...kindness, professionalism.....) I was trembling, in tears and a state of shock for two hours. I will never forget it. I firmly believe that everything happens for reason, and I'd like to think I went through that, to serve as a warning to others.
